Cute place, quiet for lunch on a holiday Monday. Buffalo chicken strips and a buffalo chicken wrap for my husband and me, and he had a beer — about 8 craft beers on tap. If we were local we’d come back and maybe we will someday anyway!

Sawyer Creek. Another staple of my childhood. seems like you’ve been there forever. Your dining area is kitschy, your menu is pure Americana — but you are long overdue for a complete overhaul. (I also feel like this is one of the few places where people eat dinner at 1700 — we’ve eaten all around town over the last week and everywhere is packed at this time. Typically 1900 eaters, we’re getting a huge kick out of it.) Mom and I visited Sawyer Creek for dinner. Like a lot of places around here we had super friendly service and there were many, many comfort food selections on the menu. She did the hot roast beef sandwich; I had the chicken cordon bleu special. Both were fine, nothing to write home about, nothing to complain about. We’d come back if invited by friends.
