Only open in the summer you don’t want to miss out of Chef Dan’s Pies. Dan is a school teacher who makes pies out of a kitchen built on a gravel driveway behind the family home. Don’t let the unassuming rural location or his kind demeanor fool you; Dan is not messing around when it comes to pies. With over 30 flavors of pies(some are sugar free) it’s hard to pick a favorite. Lately we’ve been enjoying the Peach Pie and the Coconut Cream Pie. Make sure you get there early as the selection gets a bit picked over during the later stages of the weekend with all of the weekend lake home owners coming through. With almost every pie priced between $ 8-$ 10 it’s a quick and delicious dessert.
