Great location. Ocean front. The hotel sits at the beginning of the boardwalk. Check in was quick and easy. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was on the fourth floor, which opens to a sun deck facing the ocean and the pool. We had a one bedroom with two beds, plus a sofa bed. Easily accommodated 2 adults and 3 fourteen year old boys Wifi was good until later in the evening, I assume because of the many users after a long day at the beach. The first of three Morey’s Piers is about a 5 minute walk away. You could also tram to the others. But we walked.

it’s a great hotel and worth the stay. Nice decks and pool areas. Right off the boardwalk, too.

I’ve stayed here five times so far, and it’s great! I stayed in the main motel four times and in the townhouse once. They’re both great!

First time down to Wildwood, went with a convention group that rented out the entire motel. They did a wonderful job accomodating our large group. Very family friendly and SUPER clean. Heated pool with an attached hot tub and tiny kiddie pool… very cute. They have access to a public beach playground within view from the pool and free beach access! SInce they are at the end of the boardwalk you can take the tramcar for $ 2.50 each way down the boardwalk which is about 3 miles which means no car necessary while you’re there. Make no bones about it, we’ll definitely be back!

We stayed Memorial weekend 2010 with 2 adults and 2 children under 3. The room was very big with plenty of room for all of us comfortably. It was one of the cleanest motels i have stayed at in wildwood. The location is also great, it is right at the beginning of the boardwalk in north wildwood and right on the beach. there is a playground for the children and a good sized pool. The only downfall was the tile floor in the living room area. It was slippery and i would have just preferred carpet with 2 young children. Also the room echoed. But besides that, the staff was super friendly and it was a nice place to stay. I would def stay here again.

Renting a hotel room in Wildwood can be a scary experience. However the Matador is definitely a safe bet. The regular rooms are clean and very adequate. The efficiencies are huge and quite nice. The kitchens in these larger rooms are modern and pretty big. The pol is one if the nicest hotel pools I’ve ever seen. They have a kid’s pool & hot tub built in, but I was a little disappointed that they never turned the hot tub on when I was there. The Matador has a rooftop deck that was a great place to hang out with friends. This hotel is located close to the beach, boardwalk, and walking distance to some fun bars. This is the only place I’d stay in Wildwood.

Friendly owners. Very accomodating. We have been here several times and will not stay anywhere else! We have lost and left personal items here and they always find them and hold them for us. They let my fiancé play guitar on the roof as well. The pool is beautiful, warm, and clean. There is an amazing view of the boardwalk and ocean. This motel sits right at the end of the boardwalk. You can also see the Friday night fireworks from the roof. Room is plain but hey, open up the curtain and check out the ocean view!
