I used to work near this shop, and so I would sometimes stop in during a lunch hour. There was almost always some item there that was an affordable luxury. Recently, I’ve been looking for career/interviewing clothes, and I found a perfect black Ann Taylor jacket for just $ 6. The Hospice Shop tends to have a number of brand items and they are always in excellent condition. While the prices are a true bargain, it is nice to know that the proceeds support a very worthy cause. The staff are all volunteers, and they are friendly and committed. This is also a great place to donate clothing, dishes, cute little vintage household items, etc. They really appreciate what you bring in. All in all, it’s a great experience to visit and shop at this location.

If you’ve been to Northampton you know that there are little boutiques with expensive accessories and interesting clothing and fancy housewares. And a pair of excellent consignment shops. And a few big antique barns, and a handful of vintage shops with strong personalities. The Hospice Shop sits, geographically and cosmically, right at the center of all this. So if you look hard enough, and often enough, you’ll find boutique items that are a few years old and priced to move, antiques that are cheaper than they are around the block, and vintage items that don’t quite fit the curatorial vision of Sid Vintage and/or Roz. Plus, the women who work here are sweet and they’ve got a nice, roomy dressing room.
