This place has a no-frills, old school diner feel to it but not a bad burger joint to have on your roster — especially in the late-night/wee hours of the morning. We always try to get the grass-fed burger. Fries can be hit or miss, but it’s not a bad place to go when you’re craving a burger.

This place ALWAYS makes good. The food is great, and reasonably priced. I’ve taken several people here to rave reviews and assertions that these are the best burgers they’ve ever had. Back in my pre-veggie days I had the turkey burger and it was perfect. It’s my eldest sons favorite as well. They have veggie burgers, portabella burgers, Kobe Beef, turkey and fram raised beef. My go-to here now are the buffalo Blue fries. They are astounding. A tray of fries coated in medium buffalo sauce and curds of blue cheese. It’s perfect and covers my wing cravings. They used to only have these as a special, but now they’re a part of the standard menu. Recently, I’ve become addicted to the mac and cheese bites. I say this as a person who is VERY picky about mac and cheese. These are perfect. When they’re served they’re molten on the inside, so cheesy and perfect. The dipping sauce is also really incredible. Free water in the soda machine, local brand bottles of soda, fountain drinks and shakes top out the offerings. The shakes are old school. Milk and ice cream mixed.(What Bostonions would call a Frappé.) Not a sludge from a mixer machine, but made fresh to order. As such, it can take a little bit to get out to you. Patience. You order at the counter, then sit at a table. They bring the things out to you. Your order number is on the receipt. Memorize it or keep it. Especially if it’s busy. Friday and sat nights it’s hopping here. There are lines. There can also be no seating. Be nice, be patient. Good luck. They’re also one of the few places in town open late for the bar and theater crowds.

I’ve been here twice now and while I never left wanting my money back, I have wished that I’d gone elsewhere in NOHO. I’m all about a good burger whether it be a $ 15 fancy burger or a simple well made $ 5 burger I’m down. Food: I’ve tried two different burgers now and each one left me full but the ingredients/sauce flavor profile seemed muted. For example I had the Local burger with ranch and buffalo sauce and I could barely taste the sauces. 2nd burger was the same way, not a bad burger but all the flavors muddled together. The standout for me is the sides. I really enjoyed the onion rings with the chipotle ketchup. Giant rings and ample tasty breading with an awesome ketchup… sign me up. My lady wasn’t as enthused as I, she felt the breading was way too heavy. I’ve also had the poutine fries and the buffalo blue fries. Of the two the buffalo blue were definitely the winner. The fries married well with our burgers and IPA’s(BYOB). The poutine fries were average, I felt they could have done a better job integrating the cheese into the fries, and the gravy was just ok. Ambiance: The service is friendly and the wait isn’t too bad. They have several tables and bar type seating with a pretty good size table overlooking the street. They have a regular fountain drink setup and the ability to bring your own alcohol is a definite plus. Bottom Line: If in the area its worth checking out. Most people seem to hold this place in pretty high regard but IMO there are better burger places that are cheaper in the surrounding area, and better places to eat within a two block radius of this place so I find it doubtful that I’ll return.

Great burgers for what they are! This isn’t the gastro pub fancy sort of burger… this is a fast food style burger, like if all the ingredients were fresh and you could order it to temperature. Orders are taken at the counter. It’s also awesome this place is BYOB

If you have been out drinking or if you just had a long day at work, then most likely you’re craving a delicious burger… or at least I know I am! If this is you and you’re in Northampton then Local Burger is the place to go. This burger shop located near the train bridge has delicious burgers and the option to get grass fed beef. Ordering here can be a nightmare at times especially late at night when bars are getting out but if you have a high tolerance then this will soak up whatever is in your system. The prices here are a bit high and as a previous review said, they’re not gourmet burgers, but in my opinion they are the best in the area. Their Juicy Lucy burger is incredible and over all the staff is pretty funny but a bit to the point at times. The atmosphere is also great but as I said before, it can be a bit overwhelming. One last piece of advice, if you are ordering ahead parking is a nightmare so take a buddy with you, have them do a tuck and roll, and snatch them up later.

I’m a vegetarian, but they still had a few options for me, portobello mushroom or homemade veggie burger. I chose the veggie burger with tzatziki added mushrooms, very good! Also tried their sweet potato fries with maple mayo, ooh man, delicious! NoHo has a lot of great eateries, but for a quick and simple bite to eat, this was very good! Friends tried the hamburger and turkey burger, both enjoyed their choices! Service was pretty quick, especially since the place was packed!
