While granted their cards are beautiful, I can’t for the life of me understand why a single blank card would cost in excess of $ 15! I don’t see any justification for such pricing. On top of the high prices, on my most recent visit the sales staff was only one person who was all too easily over-whelmed. She began to assist me in trying to find the perfect card for my daughter’s bridal shower but then a impatient customer who arrived at the shop well after me want to be checked out. Not a problem for me as long as the sales person would have returned to help me after catering to the self important northshorer. Instead she left me to search through their draws by myself, kind of like searching for a needle in a haystack, blindfolded. On top of not being particularly helpful she tried to hard sell me many other items in the store. No thank you! I can find better for half the price!

I am a sucker for stationery. Ever since frequenting Northbrook Court several times a month, my adorable card stockpile at the home office has grown… a lot. I enjoy coming in here for a browse, and usually leave with a few cards for my stockpile. A dachshund in a wig and hat?! Yes, please! There seriously cannot be enough cute dog cards out there. Friendly staff and there are hardly any people in here. Win and win! More dog cards for my Wall Of Cute? Priceless!

Ok, So MAYBE I’m a little bitter that I’m not a millionaire. Becuase if I were, then I really wouldn’t mind that although Papyrus does in fact have a few cute stationary items, they all cost over 6 bucks. In my little world where people have to work and make money, I am not used to holding an eight dollar greeting card. Now, I would be more understanding if said card were made out of gold or came with a five dollar starbucks card built in, but it didn’t. So, unless you are in fact a millionaire that feels like spending 5 more dollars per card just because you can, I recommend going to the corner Walgreen’s and just pickin up some Hallmark.
