Stars on Blue is an incredibly charming gift shop, with a wide selection of jewelry, pottery, greeting cards and various household decorations. The best part of the store is that all of the items are selected with fair trade and support of the United States economy in mind, with most of the crafts specially created by local artisans. Everything is very reasonably priced, especially considering the level of personal handiwork put into each item. Some of the best draws of the store are the frequent deals and sales, the room dedicated to the works of Thomas Kinkade, the display of quirky children’s toys, the free coffee, the wide and rare selection, and the view of the lake behind the property. The store owner is a very warm and welcoming Christian woman, with in-depth knowledge of her stock. Currently, the only major downside of the store is the stairs that must be climbed to reach it, which may pose a challenge to the elderly. However, the owner assures me that an elevator will be installed within the next few months, most likely by the end of September. I fully recommend a visit to this adorable store!
