I had to debate between 4 & 5 stars for this one, and I rarely «5 star» anything. I love this place! For my needs, this store knocks Whole Foods out of the park. I love the pricing on «bulk» items (e.g., protein powders, nuts, etc. which are packaged by the company). In addition, my primary trips to Natural Grocers are for the «in between» times, where I am needing a supplement or three, but am not ready to place my typical online order through my preferred vendor for that. Their selection, despite being a smaller location, is fantastic; they actually carry those 3 supplements of which I tend to run out at odd times. The employees are extremely helpful, kind, and sincere. I do not even consider the competition anymore, knowing that what I need is right here! Oh– and since they have extended their hours, its a major plus! In a city where NOTHING is open past midnight anymore, I’d say 9:04pm is fantastic for such a store!

Found this little gem while in town for work. I mean it’s not Lucky’s but darn close, full of healthy options, well organized, nice staff, and picnic tables out front up sit and eat. 4 stars because no deli, salad bar, pizza station … Lucky’s has me spoiled

A fairly small Natural Grocers location, but they have most of what I need for my weekly shopping. The produce is almost always better than Sprouts, and the prices are lower than Whole Foods. The staff at this location are friendly and recognize me when I come in twice a week. In short, it is a grocery store full of healthy food options and consistently helpful employees.

I live at natural grocers, and this location is no exception. I am usually pretty good at finding what I need, but I have noticed the last few times I’ve been in, someone hasn’t come up to ask me if I needed help. Maybe I’ve been in so much they figure I know my way around. Huge selection of herbs and rare items you just can’t find other places. So glad they built one over this way– Love love love!

I’ve been here a few times since it opened I can’t say too much bad about it but I just feel like the competition does a better job than this store does it can be a bit cheaper on a few things but the quality I feel isn’t as good

Sure, food prices at stores like this tend to be more expensive than at your local grocery store, but you won’t find like quality for better price anywhere else. They specialize in bringing in quality meats, produce, and conenient items that are more diverse in their selections than at the larger grocery stores.
And in addition to that they have a large selection of vitamins. It could be daunting the various types/​brands that are available, which is good to have team members around to make the right selection.
This was my primary location back in the day, but it is still nice to visit and know that it is still around to be able to visit.

I love Natural Grocers! They are generally much better priced than Whole Foods for their produce, though sales are limited and some of the packaged goods are more costly. Nonetheless, an awesome store :)

Need this store in Chicago, I never knew there was more than the whole paycheck store out there. The prices were very reasonable and the macaroons we got here were so great, the Wife ate them all in one night!

Great selection… things you wont find anywhere else. Just dont go close to closing time. The generally nice and helpful employees get Jekyll and Hyde. I live a couple blocks away and checked out appx 10 min prior to close and realized my husband had left his wallet at home. I sat on the curb locked out while they kept coming out every few minutes asking how much longer was he going to be. One even insinuated if he wasnt back soon they were going to return my groceries to shelves. He got back a few minutes after closing time and all the employees were acting all huffy. Im a RN… boy if I treated my patients like that every time I had to stay late… what would people think of me?

Can’t beat knowledgeable and friendly help. Being gluten and dairy free, it’s a challenge to find variety of foods. These guys succeed. The only drawback is the pricing on some commodities, namely Almond Dream & Amy’s Kitchen. I can typically find these cheaper other places.
SPICE AISLE IS AWESOME & inexpensive.

I’m a little spoiled because I just moved here from CA, where we had an amazing organic grocer. However, I don’t know what I would do without this place. I’m giving them 5 stars because they have almost everything I need and the staff is wonderful. I would love to see them expand one day and include a deli/​bakery and juice bar. But I’m happy, for now.

I got a response to my review from a company employee who told me to take my concerns to the store management. I am just not that invested, I guess. With fabulous Sprouts just blocks away, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I love this store. They have such good prices and I love their selection of herbs, spices, teas, among other things. They frequently carry less common things like xylitol that I don’t always see at Whole Foods for example. However, I have to knock them down to three stars because of their dairy products. I have had to throw out every piece of cheese I have ever bought from them. I have also thrown out some of the yogurt and today I opened a bad gallon of milk. Sure, I’m sure they’d take it back if I went to return it, but realistically how many people go back to return stuff like that? I rarely do. I just forget and forget. And I doubt I’ll remember to take this milk back. If they could do something about their dairy section, this would be a fabulous little store. Well it still is if you stick to the other aisles.

I like the convenience of having a natural grocers in my area. the only drawback is that their sales are limited.. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and they have a nice section of homeopathic medicated solutions. From cleansing products to natural soda. You have to bag your own groceries, and you will have to find a box or something to put it in… The staff should have available boxes by the checkout so customers don’t have to hunt for them. the only drawback to this place.
overall…It’s a good convenient natural market.
