I am still surprised this place is open. The name catches your attention so when you go inside it looks nice but the food oh my gosh yuxks! It was so disgusting the chicken had a weird smell and flavor and was still pink inside threw away. The trip tip was so hard and chewy. Garlic mashed patato was alright the mac n cheese had no flavor and the roasted patatos were hard not fully cooked. The soda was even nasty and flat. This place was a total disappointment. I would rather drive a good 30 minutes and go to Ratlers in Valencia! So muchhhhhhh better cannot even be comparable. They better start hiring a better chef to turn this place into a total 360.

I feel terrible for not giving this place high praises, but I just don’t feel right recommending something I wouldn’t come back to. I feel like this place has the potential to do well, but the food is lacking in flavor! I have NEVER seen macaroni that lacks flavor! My sister barely knows how to boil water and she makes better Kraft Mac and cheese. :( I feel so bad for saying all this, but really you have potential, let it show! We had to drench everything in BBQ sauce to make it edible. One thing is for sure, the service is awesome! Everyone here is very friendly and familiar with the menu. Again, I feel bad for writing this but we ended up tossing most of the food. I barely ever do that :(

Just had some good grub… Had the chicken sandwich w grilled peppers w coleslaw and my hubby had the tri tip sandwich w sweet potato fries. Everything was great! The service was friendly and fast. The restaurant was clean and very welcoming. Looking forward to eating here again… the lady next to me had delicious looking ribs! Can’t wait to go back

I’ve been here several times now after ODG left. The BBQ chicken was pretty good. The baby back ribs were pretty good. But tonight my buddy dragged me here and said we gotta try the BBQ beef ribs. He’s been raving about them for a while now. I’m glad I tried them! Normally I’m not a fan of beef ribs — I prefer baby back. But these beef ribs were tender and meaty! The sauce was perfect — not overwhelming. You could tell the ribs were slow cooked to perfection. I’ve had Rosie’s, Wood Ranch, and Lucille’s. These beef ribs are right up there or better. The garlic mashed potatoes were great! Coleslaw was very good also. Am I coming back? Hell yes! Great food and great service at a reasonable price. Do it.

This is probably the worst barbecue restaurant I’ve been to In The Valley the ribs had no flavor the tri tip was very tough to chew also with no flavor the mac and cheese was horrible I miss the old barbecue place that used to be here before I would not recommend this place to anyone unless your senses of smell and taste are off then maybe you’ll enjoy it if not go to Dickies or Rodgers

This place is as mediocre as it gets; you would be better off going to your local grocery store and buying prepared ribs, and you would save a lot of money in the process. Mediocre ribs abd beans, poor mac and cheese. The Cole Slaw was pretty good, but that’s about it.

Super tasty tri tip, tasty garlic mashed potatoes, fresh rolls and French fries! This place is great, I used a groupon and got no attitude to which is always nice. The music is rock and roll, the environment is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I had the pulled pork yesterday and tri tip today… take care and enjoy!

Very disappointed with this place. We’ve given it 3 tries and each time it wasn’t good. The Tri-tip was consistently dried out. The mash potatoes were gross! They seemed like they were Instant. I can’t see how this place will stay in business with such low quality food. The food is tasteless. The ice cream is great! If you want great BBQ go to Lenny’s. Just maybe this place will hire people who know how to cook true BBQ. Let’s cross our fingers.

When I think of bbq, I think of tasty and juicy! This was place had neither. We ordered the tri-tip and rib combo with garlic mashed potatoes and garlic toast, and chicken sandwich with fries. Tri-tip was bland, ribs were dry, garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic flavor and bread was ok. Chicken sandwich and fries were very disappointing as well. Expected a chicken breast, instead got some sliced meat that looked like it came out of Oscar Meyer container and the fries were so soggy(asked for well done). I’ve had better fries from McDonalds! I’m not big on having my meat smothered in bbq sauce. I like a good dry rub or some sort of seasoning and this bbq place failed BIG time! I had high hopes for this place but was very disappointed. I’ll stick with going to Rosie’s on Topanga and Green Acres in Simi!

I was really hoping to like this place since I want to support small businesses and I enjoy BBQ, but what a disappointment. The meat(tri tip and ribs) was not served hot. The ribs were room temperature and the tri tip was barely warm. They serve on cheap plastic plates even when dining in that are flimsy and do not hold heat well. I felt the weak plastic fork and knife was going to break while cutting through the trip tip, which brings me to my next point. The quality of the meat was tough and the ribs were undercooked. The marinade did not saturate the meat. The flavors were rather superficial and salty as if it came from an all in one seasoning packet. The French fries were the worst I ever had. They were flimsy, lifeless, and oily. The seasoned potatoes had some weird seasoning on it and had a bad smell. The most edible item was the Cole slaw. I walked out of there thinking what a waste of money.

Stood in line while people in front of me ordered. When I got to the front, was told to have a seat anywhere and that someone would come take my order. After 20 minutes of sitting around waiting and having the employees dodge eye contact, got up and went next door. Smelled good inside though–

All American BBQ is a place I really WANTED to like — small, local spot I’ve driven past countless times. Was craving BBQ last night after a long day of work around the house, so figured it was the perfect opportuniy to order delivery… but it was such a disappointment. –Got an Eat24 notification that expected delivery time was 7:35p; it didn’t show up until 8:15p. –Paid $ 2.75 extra for a side of corn on the cob, no corn on the cob included in the order. –Paid $ 2.95 extra for a side of spinach; there were approximately five spinach leaves in the container –Ordered ½ dozen BBQ wings for $ 7.95; they were the smallest wings I’ve ever seen –There was $ 50 minimum for delivery, so I got a BBQ Chop Salad($ 8.95) to bring for lunch at work today. Apparently there’s no meat included? I thought maybe I misunderstood what BBQ Chop Salad was, so I just did an online search. There is literally no recipe for BBQ Chop Salad that doesn’t include meat of some sort. –Mac and cheese was super-dry and tasteless. I got the hot link sandwich — it was pretty good(one star earned); Jenni got the pull pork sandwich — it was okay. The lady who delivered the food was very nice; she thanked me for the business. Friendly people always make writing a review like this tough… but it would have been a one-star review were it not for her, so I guess that makes up for it. Oh, also, we ordered the«homemade peach cobbler,» and I’m pretty sure whatever came was made with apple. If it was peach, it didn’t taste enough like peach for it to be clear. Womp womp.

Mmmmmm meat!!! I feel like I’ve begun more than one review that way, but sadly I’m pretty sure this won’t even be the last time. Tender, juicy, perfectly prepared meat is the fastest way to my heart. The second fastest way is with peach cobbler. THISPLACEHASBOTHYOUGUYS. 1. Super friendly owners and folks helping behind the counter. Such a pleasure to eat delicious food with equally delicious people. 2. The meat! Get the petite medallions of beef – it’s the most expensive entrée on the menu(at just under $ 16) but it comes with two mmmm sides and cornbread. And the MEAT. It’s tender, it’s juicy, it’s melt in your mouth amazing. Very large portions, totally worth the price of admission. We also got hot links, which were flavorful and just the right amount of hot. 3. Sides! The potato salad is bomb – mustard and spice and everything nice. Garlic mashed potatoes are heaven. The mac & cheese is good – but if you like it super creamy, it’s not going to be to your taste. BBQ beans are exactly what you want a BBQ bean to be. 4. The vibe! It’s classic Americana in there and a quiet environment to enjoy your meal. 5. Didn’t try them this go, but it looks like they’ve got awesome additional dessert options like ice creams and fresh watermelon and so on. Can’t wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.

Was hoping to eat some good ribs. But it was a total bummer and waste of money. Spent $ 34 on half rack of ribs and a burger with two drinks. Should’ve went somewhere else and paid a few more bucks and eaten some better. When the ribs got to me they were already cold. Only thing hot was the fries and baked beans on the side. Oh and don’t use the restrooms here. YOUVEBEENWARNED!!!

Just had some really good BBQ beef ribs, trip, and sides. The owner, Mike is awesome, didn’t take long to get the food. He gave us a sample of the soft serve which is so yummy! We will definitely come back!

I was sad to see Outdoor Grill go, so i was ecsatic to see a new BBQ place open up. This is a new owner and not affiliated with Outdoor Grill. I was hoping for the best but ufortunately, wad quite underwhelmed. Upon walking in, i appreciated the changes that had been made since outdoor grill… brand new beautiful tables, flatscreens, and an «ice cream» bar that seems like it would be great in the summer. My family ordered 4 meals for takeout, all meals come with 2 sides and a bread choice. We ordered: two ½ chicken meals @ 8.95 each one tri tip meal @ 9.95 one salmon meal @ 10.95 The staff was very friendly and accomodating, however there were some significant issues with the food. Both chicken entrees came with only a breast and wing… they left out the thigh and leg. we did call them to ask about us and they took down our name and number and assured us when we come in next time they will make it right, i will update this review at that point. it is however a bit confusing how this could happen to BOTH chicken orders. The chicken was also extremely dry, everyone agreed they would not order it again. The tri tip, which was my meal, i ordered medium rare. What i received was extremely chewy and practically well done, with only the slightest hint of pink. This was just unacceptable to me. It came with two thick pieces of tri tip but i really did not enjoy eating the meat. The salmon, was the best of the three proteins. The salmon was moist and a decent sized filet for the $ 11 price. We all agreed we would order the salmon again. The sides fortunately, were much better than the proteins. Each meal came with two sides, i ordered the mac n cheese and the beans, both of which were good. Among my other family members they ordered the french fries, mashed potatoes, and grilled onions and peppers which they all enjoyed. The only issue with the sides was my mother had asked if she could get the sauteed spinach as a side or pay the difference even and they said they would give it to her as a side at no charge, however her cup with it was only filled up about ¼ of the way whereas all other sides filled the cup entirely… this felt extremely skimpy, she would have rather ordered a regular side or paid a little extra than have two bites of spinach. One nice addition, is the meals also come with a choice of corn bread or garlic bread, we all ordered the corn bread which was delicious BUT only because we heated it at home and added butter. The BBQ sauce was also delicious. I am not normally a big BBQ sauce person but i found myself really enjoying it, everyone else agreed they loved the sauce. We all agreed we would give them another try, as the prices are pretty reasonable for the amount of food, and we are interested in trying their ribs and peach cobber. However, i wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place. They have only been open a month and a half so I will cut them some slack as they were very friendly and maybe need a little more time to figure things out. But they seriously need to stop overcooking their meat and make sure everything is put in the boxes as ordered. Leaving out half the meat just isn’t acceptable. I will update this review upon returning. I will note though that there are many suspicious reviewers here with no pictures and/or 1 or 2 reviews on Unilocal who give this place 5 stars and call it the best bbq in the state, best ribs theyve ever had, etc… I have a feeling they are having family/friends leave these reviews and I REALLY don’t like that.

I wasn’t expecting to be much impressed, and I got what I expected. Many of the 5-Star reviews I read were from inactive accounts with a single review to them, which always makes me suspicious. Frequent reviewers seem to be giving fewer stars, but since it’s close to home, and right outside our gym, my friend and I went on Saturday evening(½/16) to check it out. I had the Tri-Tip and Beef Ribs plate to go. I ordered the Tri-Tip medium, BBQ sauce on the side. BBQ beans and Roasted Potatoes for the two sides that came with the $ 15 meal. The menu says this meal comes with bread. My friend had the Tri-Tip and Pork Ribs plate, beans and coleslaw. First complaint about the order was it took a very long time to get our food, even though they weren’t very busy. Almost 25 minutes. When we got home, we both found we shorted the bread, and more frustrating for me was no BBQ sauce. The Tri-Tip was a fair-to-generous portion, but it was over-cooked, more like medium-well than medium. It wasn’t bad tasting, but I’ve made much tastier and more tender Tri-Tip at home. The Beef Ribs were very large, and they were tasty. Sides: BBQ beans were okay, but my friend did not like them. He did not like the coleslaw either. The roasted potatoes were okay, but almost undercooked. Considering this place is replacing the Outdoor Grill, another BBQ place, comparisons are inevitable, so here’s mine. Outdoor Grill served better tasting tri-tip, but smaller portions. The menus are almost identical, right down to the sides, but I suppose most BBQ places would be the same. This place is passable, and I’ll try it again, but it’s not someplace I’d go out of the way for.

All American has room for improvement… I give it a 3 for now, but hope to give it a 4 soon. The food isn’t bad, it’s just doesn’t stand out — and it’s a little bland. The service is very friendly, but they can’t turn on the televisions, because those aren’t plugged in. The décor has some cool Americana kitsch but has the feeling of being incomplete. The cost is less than what Outdoor Grill(the previous occupant) charged, but it’s not a steal, either. This is a prime spot next to the LA Fitness and other busy restaurants, with plenty of overflow diners just looking for a good meal. I hope these folks can iron out the kinks soon. Details: I ordered the grilled half-chicken with all white meat. It was good, although not as juicy as Outdoor Grill used to make it. Likewise, the seasoning was okay, but not so tasty as to make it a draw. It was served, unceremoniously, on a plain white plate all by itself. My first side, the steamed veggies, had obviously been frozen. They were okay, but some had not thawed out completely. The second side, baked beans, were markedly better and had some good seasoning and a little kick. The barbecue sauce available from the condiment bottles was good, but not great. I didn’t try the soft-serve ice cream that was offered at no charge post-meal, but other diners seemed to like it.
