This place is great! Fast service and great portions plus the price isn’t that bad. Most definite recommend to hungry college student and for families !

I love it here. The customer service is ridiculously good. They treat you like you like you matter and appreciate your business. Even when it gets busy they’re nice and pleasant. You should use common sense and plan your lunch around the lunch rush as they are by CSUN. The to-go wait was about ten minutes. Totally reasonable wait time for real food during the lunch rush. Very pleasant.

Girl at the counter was very nice. Taste of food average, place smelled like used frying oil and stomach felt upset later. Last visit here for sure… Feel bad since it was convenient and conveniently priced!

Cheap sushi which is great for lunch, however I have had better poke in the area. Also, the location was extremely difficult to find, I don’t know if the GPS was bad or it was hidden.

Came across this place while getting a car wash. it’s right behind northridge carwash. I’ve been to the California bowl on balboa and LOVED it so wanted to try this place out. Yup. same good stuff! GALBIHOMIE!!! And deep fried potstickers. That’s wassup. One thing that I really like is its SOCLEAN just like the sister location. I’ll def be back next week when my car need another shine!

Found a nice local sushi spot for my quick lunch breaks. I got a Chirashi bowl and the fish was pretty fresh. I wish the ordering experience was a little easier though. Took about 5 mins for them to punch in my order.

Love this place. My favorite food to eat when I’m at school. I think this is the closest to healthy food you can get compared to all the junk/fast food offered on campus. And the portions are huge as well. The prices are good compared to other sushi places. Great customer service. And the food is of course yummy. I usually get rolls not the noodles, etc.

This is your very basic basic sushi joint. The location is very clean, and the staff is ind and friendly. I ordered takeout and stuck to my favorite which is the Rainbow Roll. It was delicious. The fish tasted fresh, and overall it was a tasty meal. They also provide spicy mayo for free on the side. I know there are some locations that do charge for this, so it’s great to have this for no charge. I will be returning if in the area again.

Went with a group of friends, we tried the rolls, noodles, and sashimi. Everything was pretty average. I got food poisoning, probably from the sashimi in the sushi combo I ordered, so minus 1 star for that I suppose. To be honest, if you want something better go to King’s across the street.

This place is great. I call in for takeout and the order is quick. Within 10 minutes my orders ready on the counter when I arrive. This is just good simple sushi. Come here all the time.

Not Bad. However, it is too difficult to say that they serve Japanese Foods.

I’ve come here a few times because the price for what you get is decent and it’s quick. Last night I ordered take-out, a Spicy Tuna Bowl to be precise, right before closing hours. It was good, pretty standard spicy tuna over rice with some green veggies, nothing out of the ordinary… but what ensued later was horrible. I woke up 4 – 5 times later into the night with an upset stomach and vomited a few times. I’m sure it was the food because I hadn’t eaten anything for the earlier portion of the day while studying for finals and it was my only meal to celebrate finishing. I’ve never gotten sick eating old fish before, even at a cheap chinese buffet. I’d expect a restaurant thats forte is selling raw fish to be at least competent in keeping the food hygienic.

After eating complete garbage for an entire weekend, I needed something fresh and real to help my stomach back to life. I took a chance on this place and was already impressed when I walked in and looked at the menu. There was so much to choose from and it all looked so good. I had the California Chicken Bowl. This is a delicious chicken teriyaki bowl that comes with 2 pieces of California roll. I normally don’t like Cali rolls, but the whole thing was great! I came the very next day for lunch and it was even better. I dined in. Service was friendly and fast. Everything was awesome. I will never stop coming here.

Their spicy tuna bowl & unagi bowl are my fave. Their sushi portions are huge. Not bad for prices either. Place is clean and never gets packed. Perfect place for a quick lunch. They also take phone orders :)

I normally come here for takeout when i just want some quick decent sushi. I have eaten here once with friends but this is generally not the most pleasant place to dine as it is extremely casual. But I can see the appeal for CSUN students based on it’s proximity to the campus. Also, when you dine it they give you free miso soup. I have never ordered the bento boxes so I can not review those. I have ordered the mango salad with chicken and avocado which is very good, but primarily I order the sushi rolls. My favorite roll is the jessica roll. the rolls are very large and very filling, but they are in my opinion overpriced for the quality of sushi. The sushi is decent quality for a casual takeout place, but clearly not sashimi grade. the bento boxes however are more reasonably priced, so i can see the appeal. The cashiers are always very friendly and I have never had a problem with my order. They also have a location on balboa/nordhoff which I have been to a couple times. That location has pretty much the same menu/prices but I have found it to generally be busier and have a longer wait time so I tend not to go there unless I am in the direct area.

Average prices but Sushi Rolls are large. The ramen is like eating Top Ramen with onions, spices, etc that was just added. Was it Top Ramen? WTF Service is good. Order at the front. Food will be brought to your table.

I used to come here a lot when I was a student at Csun. It’s a great place to come and grab a quick lunch. I do not see this place as a «sushi restaurant» the sushi they serve here is more … Of a Japanese market style. Bento sushi. If you’ve eaten at a Japanese food court or bought sushi from a Japanese market. You will know what I’m talking about. The quality is not bad, but it’s something I would enjoy on my Lunch break if I were short on time and very hungry … Not for an intimate dinner or a night out with friends. The sushi and rolls contain a lot more rice than a typical sushi restaurant(which is not a bad thing if you’re hungry) Taking all of that into consideration, I like their shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna bowl, and spicy tuna /sushi combo. If you eat there(vs to-go) they give you free miso soup. The food seems a little pricy, but they have fairly large portions. The service is always friendly.
