I came to the Grove for an almost impossible color correction. Aggie was amazing. I am naturally a brunette but was blonde for about 10 years. I went back to brunette and I hated it. I went somewhere and had some highlights put in and to make a long story short my hair was fried off and the highlights were orange so now I was a brunette with big chunky orange highlights… I just wanted to go back to a dark blonde with some highlights and nobody really knew how to do it elsewhere but Aggie did. To keep my hair safe she put a color coding on it and then some gentle highlights and brought me back to where I wanted to be without frying my hair or damaging it. It looks so nice. She was meticulous, she had to fix the chunky highlights so she had to work with teeny tiny strands of hair to highlight over the color and it took her a long time but it was the only way to go. Experience means everything! I highly recommend Aggie, especially for color!

I needed a new haircut pronto since I didn’t have a haircut for nearly a year & I started a new job. My hair was toooo long & was driving me nuts. Enter Rosa Herrera (sp?) who did a fantastic job. Rosa gave me a look that was easy to maintain & care. Thank you Rosa for restoring my hair sanity!

I highly recommend Lorena! Not only is she super friendly, She is quick and never left my hair brassy! She is a fab hair colorist! Oh and not to mention her updos! Best updos I’d ever seen in my life!!! I’ll be calling her soon!

Odet is awesome! Called on a Sunday (SO NICE that they were open!) and was able to come in right away for a haircut. She listened to my request and gave me EXACTLY the haircut I had been missing. Lots of layers that she meticulously checked and even shortened after we had finished because she wasn’t totally satisfied with them once they were styled. I couldn’t be more happy.

After getting a great cut and color from Aggie, I sent my daughter to her on my personal recommendation. She has long hair, and only wanted a trim. She clearly said, «I want to keep the length.»
Aggie ridiculed my daughter! Calling her hair awful and ugly!!! «…In all my 30 years, I’ve never seen anything this awful!» WWWHHHAATTT?
Against my daughter’s wishes, she took about 2 – 3 inches off! Where’s the customer service here?! Aggie wouldn’t stop! And she boosted to her friend that … «Yup. She didn’t want it. But I did it anyway!!»
If you have long hair, and love it, stay away from Aggie.
Bye, Aggie. I don’t like those who make my kid cry.
UPDATE AS OF 10÷8÷15: So. Aggie tracked me down (no surprise there). We debated. No need to share points. I’ve said my 2 cents. But I will let you know that Aggie sent me a check to pay my daughter back. Age was sorry that she had such a bad experience. I find this to be a noble gesture, and I wanted to let reviewers know.

Odelle did an amazing job on my hair! I got a same day appointment and a very affordable price of $ 30. Odelle was polite, friendly, and gave me a great hair cut. There were several women working in the salon who greeted me and made the atmosphere warm and friendly. I will definitely be returning!

Thank you to Odet for a great haircut! After receiving a short, lopsided haircut at a different salon, I was terrified to let another stylist attempt to fix it. I brought Odet a picture of pretty, summery ‘do and she replicated it exactly with my hair! My hair feels light, summery and sexy and I paid less than half of what my previous haircut cost me. Above all, Odet was super sweet and gave this new resident of the Valley lots of local insider advice, too! I’ll definitely go back.

Very pleased with my first visit. I made an appointment with Aggie die to her great Unilocal reviews, and once again, Unilocal steered me right. I had badly damaged my hair (and color). Aggie fit me in, did a great color correction, cut away my damage and gave me a current look. I’m very pleased and will be back. Price was within what I’d consider reasonable for the service.

I hadn’t had a haircut in about two years… mainly because I got tired of paying anywhere from $ 80 – 100 for a so-​so cut that I wasn’t totally happy with. I’ve always loved a good bob (had one years ago), and it seems like a straightforward, classic cut, yet I struggled for years to find a stylist who’d create EXACTLY what I want (a nice A line style, in particular). Thus, for a while, I gave up and just let my hair go feral. (I’m good at doing my own color, but cut? «Met with the business end of a woodchipper» sums up my talents with the scissors pretty well.)
Yet I woke up this morning both utterly fed up with my hair (or more specifically, my whole head, but I can’t fix ALL of it), and craving a chic bob. So, based on the Unilocal reviews and proximity to me, I decided to take a chance on yet another salon, and I called Hair Grove. They fit me in within an hour (on a Saturday), and I was given an appointment with Joyce.
Joyce is AMAZING — highly skilled, smart, personable, and very attentive. I brought pictures, and she studied them closely… this was not the cursory, disinterested «I know better» glance that I’ve come to dread from stylists who aren’t really paying attention. She asked questions, showed me the cut at various points as a work in progress, and remarked that I’d picked a great cut to compliment my hair type and texture. I DO know my hair well (I wasn’t asking for anything unattainable), and Joyce knows her stuff. It was the perfect pairing.
What can I say? Joyce gave me the PERFECT bob — exactly what I had envisioned. I’m still amazed that I didn’t have to shell out a ridiculous amount of money to get exactly what I was looking for. Joyce was also extremely kind to my 8 year old daughter whom I’d brought along. Always the sign of a good human, in my book.
I will absolutely be back to Joyce again and again. THANK YOU!

My hair stylist is Odet. Not only is she a great stylist, but friendly too. She always has a positive attitude and does a wonderful job. I have no negative comments about her or The Hair Grove Salon.

This is for ** ROSA MARIA** She is absolutely amazing she colored my hair exactly like I wanted. especially since I made more than a few Bad attempts at dying my own Hair and it was uneven in color, she fixed it, she also told me what type of shampoo and conditioner to buy for my color of hair, she was so sweet and kind and gave me the options I had in order to fix my hair and that helped me decide what I thought would be my best option in what I wanted to do for my hair! Aggie is the lady to see! The entire staff at the Hair Grove is a family, so kind and welcoming. I was recommended to her by her son who I am a mutual friend for years. I was nervous at first… after she was done with my curly and difficult hair, I was convinced I would never go anywhere else. I took my mom and grandma in for mothers day. Over the years I have been to many salons. Finally I have found my hair salon! Mikel is the best Hair Stylist. Bar none. He listened to what I wanted, cut my hair exactly the way I wanted and he answered all my questions concerning hair health. I can’t praise Mikel enough. This is a review for Odet whom I have been seeing for a haircut/​style for a few years now. She is willing to accommodate me, even on the same day as was the case this past visit. I always get my bangs cut, and Odet always does them justice, not too short, and gives it more texture. When she styles my hair, it always lasts at least a day. You won’t be disappointed with Odet’s service and style! Call this salon and ask for her!

I am AMAZED! I was looking through Unilocal for an affordable waxing salon (I’m a guy with a hairy back, so it can get pretty pricey) and stumbled upon The Hair Grove. After reading the reviews and seeing Suzy’s name pop up time after time, I had to give it a try. I was NOT let down at all!
Suzy, while on the phone sounds soft and inviting, she is that much more personable in person! She’s sweet, caring, and all about the client. She takes care to make sure you are as comfortable as possible, and her attention to detail is absolutely impeccable — my hair is particularly stronger, so the wax left a few follicles behind and, where others would just pass over and ignore, she made sure she got every last hair, with tweezers! I was absolutely impressed with the work she did, and she even took care to clean over my shoulder and create a natural hairline look, without even asking! (I’ve gotten MUCH less than that in the past)
Finally, you can tell she is a kind and caring soul just from the way she interacts with you — great conversations and made me feel extremely relaxed and comfortable. If you’re looking to get waxed, guy or girl, SUZY is the one! Thank you Suzy :)

I was so amazed by the class and professionalism of this place. Hairstylist, Aggie is one of a kind. She is truly the HAIR Dr… ladies and gents, if you want a new look and you love yourself, come see Aggie. Thank Goodness I found this place. I will never go anywhere else.
