Chicken Tikka Masala is always great. The men who run it are first class, and the NAAN is scrumptious!

Possibly the best take out Indian food in the area. They now have a few tables for in service but that is very basic. The food is excellent, very flavorful and if desired quite spicy. For lunch it will be hard to beat. Definitely 4 stars for food, one star for atmosphere.

I love it when I discover these little hole-in-the-wall places that focus on ONE thing: the food. Nothing fancy about this place at all, but the food is outstanding. I typically get the malai kofka(sp?) and it’s just incredible. The naan is also perfect.

One of our favorite local restaurants for takeout. We are long time customers and have tried various things on the menu. Food is delicious and does not disappoint. Friendly owner and staff. Try it!

Both your face and anus will cry tears of joy during and after enjoying this spicy Indian cuisine. The lunch crowd is hectic so ordering ahead is a must. Also, the staff is friendly and willing to coach the new timers through what they should try and the levels of spice.

I live with a husband that would eat Indian food most days of the week. Unfortunately, I cannot cook Indian cuisine, but fortunately we live around the corner from one of the best indian places I’ve ever eaten from. He stumbled on this place, nestled in our local strip mall, just after we moved into our new house this past spring. You walk in and there are a few tables(must be for show, because people are never eating in) and you see the whole kitchen. The kitchen is the center of the place, and that’s because the food is the most important part. No frills, just great food and great value.

Too expensive for what they offer. Buying chicken here for $ 15 is a joke. I would recommend that you go to Stew Leonard’s instead for a much better Indian chicken curry for a much cheaper price. I also tried lamb curry. The guy charged me $ 15 and gave me like 5 small pieces of lamb with full of oily soup. Yukky… Also the place is unclean with workers wearing clumsy aprons.

This place is really close to the New Canaan border, along Route 123. So for people from New Canaan and South Salem it is really easy to drive to. As a few others mentioned, you will walk in and see a bare bones operation with a few casual tables and a take-out counter. If you are looking for a place to take a first date or a client, look elsewhere ! However, if you want some take-out or a really low-key place to sit down and have some Indian food, this is a great option. Over the last few years, I have had a bunch of Lamb and Chicken dishes here. All of them have been very good. The spicy dishes are in fact spicy, and the medium dishes have been«medium». As for mild, I don‘t really care to order any mild Indian dishes, so I‘ll leave that up to you. One of my favorite things that you‘ll come away with on their lunch specials is a couple veggie fritters. They are very tasty and a nice addition to the meat, rich and naan(as if all of that food was not already enough). Any place that serves a high quality lamb entrée at lunch for just over $ 8 w/tax, gets the thumbs up from me.

Very average. Not impressed with overall dinner for four. The appetizers were excellent and breads were awesome, but main dishes were below average. I was told chicken would be boneless and it was bony grisly and dry. Cream sauces tasted like they were straight out of a can of cream of celery soup from Cambel’s with a teaspoon of saffron. Chutneys were too spicy and papanaa which was way too peppery. Service was ok. I’m still irked by the fact I was told to my face the chicken tandoori was boneless and when I got out home it was bony dry and grisly. I would NOT return.

The place seems very clean. You can see right in the kitchen. I tried the goat biryani and it was good. Just the right amount of spices. Definitely a no frills place. My dinner came served in a metal take out tin with plastic fork and knife.
