Best chicken souvlaki around! Great ice cream… And awesome Chili dogs! Family owned for years by great people!

They are very friendly and offer good, fresh comfort food at normal prices.

Only went for the ice cream. it wasn’t exactly good. more like ice milk, but it was a hot day so ice milk totally worked. t the portion was HUGE and CHEAP and service super nice. and I hear its a family owned place and I like family owned — so extra stars for all that!

Let me say that we were STARVING & it was late, everything was closing, as we were coming back from a local event.
So we walked in place didn’t look too bad, old & outdated YES! Place staffed by owners it looked like. maybe ready to retire after Many yrs of being here! & I say that for a reason. We’re looking at menu. never been here before. .so we’re trying to decide. Woman is anxious to get our order, so we place our order. Food comes out quickly. .glad! But the customer service. .we felt VERY rushed despite we were only ppl in there. I’m thinking did we catch them as they were closing??? Nope a few more ppl came in after us. we saw as we watched from our car eating our food.
Food: was barely edible. would NOT go here again, it was like they slapped it together. which they did. considering turn around time, Order was WRONG, service was rude. Place could definitely use an update fresh paint & bathrooms a serious scrubbing. .I seriously hope they have separate bathroom for employees who need to wash their hands before touching food! Again we were beyond starving and NOTHING was open in the area that I knew of. but not really from this exact area. we traveled a few towns over for a local event.
Ppl working probably don’t read these reviews bit I seriously hope someone in their family does & considers any of the points customers make!!! As I’ll NEVER go back here if the place stays the same as it currently is!!!

Cannot say enough positive things about Dairy King. I live near the restaurant, and whether I’m craving a tasty late night milkshake or a great burger for lunch, Dairy King hits the spot every time.
The service is always friendly and prompt. Everything is made to order while you wait. The restaurant is family owned and operated– I have seen several people working behind the counter and had a pleasant, enjoyable experience with each.
Their prices are also fantastic. It’s hard to beat a four piece fried chicken dinner with fries for under $ 10. As someone new to the Norwalk area, I am thrilled to have found a consistently great and reliable place to grab a quick bite.

Good food, great place to have lunch with the kids. Very friendly staff. I will definitely go back for lunch if we’re in the area again.

Such a great place to go for yummy food and family feel! I miss Coney Island so much, but then I head over to Dairy King and have one of their awesome Sabrett Hot Dogs with Chili, Cheese, Sauerkraut and Bacon. YUMMMMM!
Such a treat for my daughter and I! Their chicken fingers are super delicious, fresh white meat and their waffle fries with cheese rock the house!
And I’m addicted to their Cherry Bonnets…

Love the food and family here at DK. From the burgers to hot dogs to the great sandwiches and gyros I can always be satisfied. Just your go to place that you can count on. A Norwalk staple!

King, not Queen. Flashback retro ice cream memories for me, still classic and glad to see it is still here. I think its more food than DQ –I havent been to a DQ in a long time. Nice people working here.

The ice cream’s good, burgers are decent if you’re hungover, fries not that good, onion rings okay and chicken nuggets are something we’ll be staying away from in the future. Not a place I’d go regularly, but for a few years it was my go-​to hangover cure.
It reminds me of the restaurant from Coming to America in a way… I don’t mean that in a bad way, just the thing with the name vs Dairy Queen, it’s funny, especially since it used to be a Dairy Queen (I believe they lost the franchise for some reason and changed the sign).

The style of the decoration and furniture is pretty old, but the treats are good. They are a hard working couple, and it has the feel (because it is) an old fashioned ice cream parlor. The name, menu, and logo are eerily similar to Dairy Queen, yet it is a great local place. I have enjoyed all of the ice cream I have had there.

BEST chili dogs and ice cream in town! Friendly place, great for families! I miss it and can’t wait to go back!
