Diamond Deli and Brick Oven Pizza

GO HERE FOR BREAKFAST! Please !!! Try the d&d Belgium waffle. It has ice cream on top it is delicious the home fries were thinly sliced potatoes, I was skeptical at first … But it was amaaaaazing. The entire breakfast for 2 was $ 28. Totally worth it.
Other reviewers commented on the service, the lady that looked to me like the boss was a little rude. But the food made up for it. Wonderful wonderful !

I swear every time i come here it is an amazing experience! First of all the atmosphere is great your eating literally inside of a bank and the bathrooms are in the old vault lol. The staff makes everything even better by being so kind to everyone and makes coming hear a no brainer. Now as far as the food goes i can tell you from experience over the past 3 years you cant go wrong with anything from appetizers like mozzarella sticks and the best onion rings IN THE COUNTY to steak fajita wraps, and chicken souvlaki panini’s everything is good and the menu is HUGE! I have yet to try everything but i have no doubt in my mind that weather you want breakfast food or lunch or even dinners everything will be delectable. Portion sizes are great prices are better then most. If you need a new place to go or haven’t tried this place yet I highly recommend Diamond Deli to be your next one stop shop for great food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere! Im telling you this is the new best around enjoy!

this place sucks! if I could give them no stars I would. I’ve ordered 4 different sandwiches on 4 different occasions and they ALWAYS leave something out. I always ask for avocado on my sandwiches as I am pregnant and it’s a good source of folic acid, but they ALWAYS charge me extra for it and NEVER put it on my sandwich!!! when I called to tell them about it, all they had to say was «well it was on the ticket so I don’t know why he didn’t put it on, we will next time». four different times is WAY past a mistake, they are obviously just careless and don’t care about the satisfaction of their customers. word of advice, go to Paulie’s Deli, it’s right down the block and their sandwiches are excellent! and most importantly, you get everythinggggg you ask for :)

I’m so disappointed I place an order at 4:20 and the pizza arrived at 5:16 cold like ice and I don’t live too far from the pizzeria

We got the delivery option from here for lunch. I was disappointed in the beginning as the pizza was cold when they delivered it. But after heating up the pizza I wasn’t disappointed anymore. I pizza was very delicious. We ordered the vegetarian pizza and it was the best among all other pizza places near by. I would definitely order from here next time. And even the delivery was on time as they had mentioned while ordering.

Food is great but lately I’m just not sure if it’ll ever even arrive. Twice, order placed but took several calls and arrived very late. Another time never arrived at all. Not sure if something changed in last couple of months, food use to arrive before eta. Three strikes. It’s really too bad because again –the food is great it’s just a matter of it will actually arrive.

Tried Diamond Deli for delivery on recommendation from a friend, and I was not disappointed. They have great NY style pizza, any way you want it, for a great price. I had pepperoni and prosciutto on mine, and it was delicious. I haven’t tried all of the delivery places in Norwalk, but DD is by far the best I have tried so far. The delivery did take 45 minutes, but they did say it would take a while. I will definitely order from here again.

The driver called and said he was outside… but he wasn’t. He was clearly lost. I stood outside in the cold giving him specific directions as to what to do and where to go, but he clearly wasn’t listening. Finally after 20 minutes of this back and forth and me calling the restaurant to just cancel the order he finally found me… and delivered the coldest, most disgusting food. And to make matters worse, argued with me when he finally showed up. Never again.

AWFUL customer service … I explained to whoever I was on the phone with twice that I wanted pepperoni pizza and they still managed to mess up my order. Good food though just bad service.

Food is very good, service a little slow when dinning in but the service is very good waitress is very friendly. Overall a great place to come for breakfast with 1 – 4 ppl not a big party due to lack of seating. But I love the atmosphere of a small place I wouldn’t want it to be any bigger. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all great def a favorite place to eat in Norwalk.

This review is for Texas wraps only! I have never had the pizza or anything else… because the Texas wraps are so damn good. Texas wraps consist of: spicy Cajun chicken breast, bacon, cheddar cheese, honey mustard and avocado. (I don’t get bacon on mine, but everyone else does and thinks I’m crazy) My husband and his coworkers would get Texas wraps delivered to their office twice weekly they are so good! The chicken is spicy, perfectly cooked and tender, the wrap is grilled to perfection, every flavor perfectly compliments each other. We moved away from CT last summer and I make my version of a Texas wrap at home, it’s good but not like the original. Everyone must try it!!! Apparently the other wraps here are good too, but we just could never bring ourselves to order anything else. I’m trying to be heathy since its he new year… Tonight I will be making a Texas wrap inspired chopped salad, wish me luck!!!

I have to send down to one star. We gave this place a break for months before deciding to try once more, since the food is really good. The person who picked up the phone couldn’t get past taking my phone number, so I never got to place our order. I gave her my number no less than 7 times, over three different phone calls. I asked for the manager, who has helped in situations where the person who answered the phone was unable to take an order, and got told that she was the owner and I didn’t have to order if I didn’t want to.
You know, she’s right. I didn’t have to so I decided to order from a better restaurant. Thanks for the tip!

Excellent brick oven pizza. The Napolean is my favorite.
However, 5 mozzarella sticks for $ 6.25 is robbery to me. They were also cold upon arrival.
I would stick to just pizza if you were to order there. I’ve also had their chicken parm sandwich and it didn’t taste very good.

Awful, terrible customer service. They accepted an order without delivering the food. ordered a pizza at 910 through grubhub. Estimated delivery was for 1025. At 1040 called grubhub for update. Grubhub said they tried calling them but no answer. Turns out restaurant closes at 10. They should have told us that they couldn’t process the order. Instead they let us be charged, never called, never canceled. Awful.

How come the Texas Wrap is 9.95 (TEXAS WRAP 9.95 CAJUN CHICKEN, AVOCADO, CHEDDAR, BACON, & HONEY MUSTARD), but when I order a grilled chicken wrap with tomato, avocado, bacon and cheddar I get charged:

That’s just not right. Not to mention the chicken is cooked to death (practically hard) and they put lettuce on it when specifically asked not too! Boo.

The wraps are really good! The fries are just ok, the people who work there are really nice though! Good prices too, most things under 10 dollars, and they deliver!

Usually D&Ds is great. However, the last two times I have ordered my food has been barely edible. I ordered my go to Texas wrap both times with sweet potato fries. On both occasions the chicken was very over cooked and it seemed as though the chef picked out all the pieces that were extra chewy. Additionally the sweet potato fries have been severely undercooked and soggy. I really hope they get their act together and get back to making tasty food.

This was one of my favorite places in Norwalk. My family and I are here every week. One night I ordered a bunch of food for delivery and my chef salad arrived which I buy every single week and it was half the size as usual and went up 2 dollars in price. After calling to complain the woman who picked up proceeded to argue with me that I was wrong. She said she wanted the old salad back. I said no problem. She then said that she also wanted the dressing which I had already thrown out. She argued with me for ten minutes about the salad. This is possibly the worst customer service I have ever seen! They lost a customer tonight. Not because of a crappy salad. Because they would rather argue then try to make their customers happy.

I really wanted to be able to give a better review.
I like the new location and they have a pretty good (and big) menu, however, they always seem incredibly disorganized and slow.
If they could improve their speed and their service a bit, I’d gladly give a better review.

This place used to be on New Cannan Ave. They decided to buy a building that used to be a bank and move closer to the center of the city. If you walk in from the parking lot, you’ll pass through the old vault doors, which is pretty cool. They provide food service for dine-​in, take-​out, and delivery, as well as special event catering. They specialize in Greek and Italian food. They also have wood fire brick oven pizza.
You will be warmly greeted at the counter when you arrive. Feel free to take a seat inside or out after you order, they will bring your food to you. Their food choices are plentiful and delicious. They offer a coffee station so you can make your own, if your in a rush. They also offer quick breakfast sandwiches for those on the go. If you want ice cream, they offer that too! yUM
There are mostly tables and chairs. The few booths they have are awkward. You feel like your too far from the table. The place is spacious and inviting. They also offer delivery and take out. Give it a try if your in the area or just passing through. Located just two blocks off of the Route 7 connector. Private parking lot.
