I recently went to the Franklin Philip Salon for a hair cut as a new client. Philip did a detailed consultation before we started — asking about how I care for my hair(what type of brush I use, do I prefer to blow dry or air dry, etc.) as well as my biggest concerns & goals for my hair. I have very fine, straight hair, so making it look and feel fuller is always a priority. Philip recommended a fairly blunt cut just above shoulder length and I LOVEIT. The overall look is very modern, and it looks /feels like I have about twice as much hair as I did before. Will definitely be back!

Philip has been doing my hair for many years. He is very professional and keeps his skills up to date learning from others and attending hair events. I have always gotten a great cut here. He’s very particular about coloring also. Every color he’s invented for my hair is recorded on an index card! Connie is phenomenal with styling. I have watched her take care of many clients over the years as well as had her finish styling my hair many, many times. I never hesitate to recommend him!

Absolutely one of the most horrible salon rezults I’ve ever had. I was cut by Phillip. I walked in with nice long hair requesting to bring my length up to the shoulders and walked out with, not a bob, but a mushroom to the ears haircut. My hair is RUINED and completely chopped off. every person I have encountered has related that the cut is awful and not even. It’s all differ lengths, looks like I grabbed a kitchen scissor and chopped a pony tail off. My left side is shorter than my right. He didn’t cut my hair wet then tells me every stylist has their own flavor and he felt it looked fabulous. He said wait until after you play with it a bit, it’s very ny. It’s very Not New York. Im from ny and everyone that’s seeing the pictures on fb is having a field day with the fact I start my new client and I have an uneven attrocious hair style. I should have refused to pay especially after having to stand up after he tried to style it so he can hold a mirror up to my body in order tio fix my uneven hair. The cut is nothing short of a complete disaster. The easiest cut request to bring my length up to my shoulders somehow turned into a mushroom with all my hair chopped off. Someone told me I looked like I had a bowl placed on my head. Not only is the cut wrong he had audacity tio charge me $ 80. — — — -UPDATE: After a week, I finally got a refund of the service. Money is money I guess but my hair is gone and I have no choice now to have a professional cut the rest off so it can hopefully grow back in properly in the next year or two. Lesson learned… When your salon is unavailable don’t try something new unless highly recommended. Stick with what you know. The salon nightmare is a real thing. I believe that now.

I don’t trust ANYONE else with my hair. I’ve been coming to Connie for about 4 years now. I literally walk in, and tell her«not above the shoulders,» and let her do as she pleases. I have never been unhappy with a hair cut. I also get my hair dyed here, in which Connie does gorgeous coloring. As well as the basics, Connie also does prom/wedding/events hair styles. GORGEOUS! I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants a professional environment and great hair cut. Never a complaint!
