I was lucky enough to begin rowing at Maritime and have never left. The coaches are very dedicated to helping the rowers improve. I had ACL surgery last year and when I came back, the coaches gave me challenging workouts that got me back in shape without taxing the knee.
I’d give this place 6 stars if I could!

I spent time researching the various rowing clubs in the area, and Maritime was, without a doubt, the best around. Other clubs seem to be preoccupied with glitz and glamour, while putting very little effort toward the actual rowing. The staff at Maritime are dedicated to the sport and improving your abilities on the water. From the learn-​to-​row sessions, to the middle school and high school programs, all the way up to the master’s, Maritime coaches deliver the absolute best teaching and training you can find not just in Connecticut but in the country.
