Absolutely fantastic authentic Greek cuisine in southwest CT. I recently came here with 3 friends on a Sunday evening for dinner. We were seated promptly with no wait. The ambiance is incredible. I felt more«Greek» here than when I went on vacation in Santorini 3 years ago. They have an extensive wine list and a huge menu of Greek dishes. We started with a large Greek salad, which we easily shared between 4 people. The main dishes are separated by meat type. I am a vegetarian so I ordered 3 sides, which turned out to be way too much food! I had french fries, gigantic white beans in a pasta sauce, and pita with tzatziki sauce. They were all fantastic. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of the food. I added pictures of all of our food. The service was prompt and very friendly. My only regret is that we didn’t leave enough room for desert, as I very much wanted to try the baklava. I will have to wait for next time, as we will be back for sure.

Very good food and service. Waitress was attentive and very nice. The location is a bit weird given the major construction. The gyro platter is huge and the fries were homemade and well seasoned. Almond cake was on point.

Everything is too salty. The chicken skewers have a lot of weird fatty meat that you can’t eat. The Tzatziki has a garlic flavor that tastes like garlic that has been bought peeled. Buying peeled garlic means it’ old and really strong in the wrong way.

Excellent food!!! Highly recommended!!! I’ve been here a handful of times and I crave their amazing food. Everything is so flavorful and fresh. The Greek salad is a must, as well as the traditional gyro platter. The Tzatziki is so incredibly good, the best I’ve ever had. When we go everyone shares so we can try all of the different dishes. Trust me, there are no bad meals here. The staff and owners are wonderful, happy to answer questions and they always make sure we’re happy. I can’t wait to visit Pontos again!

After dinning in, the 5 star rating from the pick-up order remains. Our waiter Gus was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations to include Greek ALFA beer to go with my lamb platter. The atmosphere was nice and felt very homey inside, all the staff was very pleasant. Very detail oriented and Gus did not miss a beat, always one step ahead whether it came to water or more bread and clearing off empty plates. The food was fresh, tasty and authentic. Will be coming back again.

Service seems family run and very nice. Restaurant was sort of empty. They give out many groupons. Seems to me the place is struggling. Menu was limited. No Spanikopita, no Lemon potatoes. The combo meat platter was Market Priced. A few other things were Market Priced. Trying to keep food costs down? We had a salad. It was good. I have had better salads for less $. We had a gyro sandwich and a chicken souvlaki sandwich. The food was ok. As a matter of fact, our entire experience was just ok. Not bad, just not Wow’d. What could they have done better? Bigger menu. More value. Change the décor of the restaurant. It didn’t cozy. It felt like eating in a VFW room. Overall, If you are right next door and were craving for Greek, I guess you could do worse. But we felt it is not a destination. I hope they do better. They were nice.

This is our favorite restaurant ever! The food here is never not perfect. Portions are huge, wait staff the most friendly guys and gals, they’re all related. Dad is in the kitchen, and Dad sure knows what he is doing! We’ve tried the soups, unreal. The Country Greek Salad, we always get this is out of this world. The dolmades are some of the tastiest we’ve had(stuffed grape leaves). Lamb chop platter, gyro platter or sandwich, chicken tigania with orzo all about as good as you can get. Pictured is the Country Greek Salad and the Dolmades. Prices are great — beautiful family run business– and Greek food made the way it should be made and tastes amazing. Lunch Thursday — Saturday. Dinner Tuesday thru Sunday.

This is authentic, delicious Greek food. The place is beautifully decorated, homey, and quaint. Everyone stays around after their meals, drink glasses of wine, and catch up with each other. The souvlaki, while delicious, did not have as much meat as the gyro(my only complaint) and I was left with extra pita.

The service at this charming place in the developing area of Norwalk was personable and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the grilled octopus(a bit pricey at $ 24.95 but a sizable and delicious portion), and the half portion Greek salad. The feta was fresh, and all dishes were outstanding.

Kind of don’t want to review it because it’s so damn good. Everything is delicious and the service is friendly, responsive and non-pretentious. Save room for the almond cake — trust me on this. Though it’s light as a feather so it’s easy to enjoy their salads, entrees — well — everything. Had my husbands 60th bday there 2 years ago and it was a blast. Did all the food family style so we got a sampling of everything. Go early though — especially if you have a large group. No reservations. Decided to post because hard working people who deliver great service and delicious food deserve the exposure! Even though I want to keep to myself!

The food here is 5 stars! So delicious. We started with the Greek Salad which I LOVED! The ingredients that they used were market fresh and not something you get a Vons. The veggies and feta cheese definitely seemed high quality. I ordered a glass of red pinot. No complaints there. We ordered the chicken slovaki which had great flavor. The marinade that they used on the chicken was yum. I was also pleasantly surprised by the tasty orzo that came with it. I’m usually not a rice person, but that was also delicious. I think what I liked after I finished the meal was that I didn’t feel heavy in my stomach. I was happy with the quality of food and ingriedients that were used. The only reason I removed a star is that it was a little on the pricey side. Ambiance– Nice interior. I would just say the surrounding area is kind of strange. Right now they are doing some construction across the street so the area just looks run down. Otherwise, when you are in the restaurant, you can’t be bothered.

This place is really good!!! Their lamb chops are out of this world! The only downfall is that they are a bit small and parking can be a hassle.

The bronzini was fried lightly, crispy and so white and fresh. The Gigantes beans were al dente as they should be but I’ll ask for more dill next time. Greek salad was marginal for two. Next time we’ll get the Romaine and Cucumber salads instead. Baklava was the best ever!

An absolute must try. Been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. Authentic Greek-American food made fresh, simply and deliciously. Ask about the history of the restaurant, interesting past as a local Greek Social Club. Service continues to be an A+. Highlights are often the specials, I had a pan fried Branzino with a white pan sauce that was incredible. Branzino served whole — tender and seasoned perfectly with a nice crisp skin. Appetizers are also light and flavorful. I’ve had a few meals made up of just the appetizers. The Warmed Feta with Tomato and Hot Pepper is always on my list to order, as are the Baked Giant White Beans in Tomato Sauce. Then there are the French Fries — these potatoes are thin, crisp, herby, salty heaven. Extra points if you drizzle some vinegar on top. Gyros and Souvlaki have always been great. I would recommend going for the À la Carte Assortment — comes with a little bit of everything. First time I dined here ‘Nona’ came out with a cart offering her housemade Baklava — best I’ve ever had.

Pontos is AWESOME! I was home visiting family for Easter and since my parents didn’t feel like cooking the night before hosting a holiday, we ordered takeout from Pontos. All six of us ordered lamb gyros(original, huh?) with a few salads to split. These were seriously some of the best gyros I’ve ever had — garlicky with tons of lamb, tzatziki and dill. The entire menu looks incredible so eating in is high on the list next time I’m in town. Even just stopping in the restaurant to pick up the food made me want to stick around for at least a glass of wine — it’s so cute and inviting in there!

I’ll admit, I’m no Greek food expert, but I feel like I know quality at this stage in the game. Pontos offers damn good food at reasonable prices. My co-workers and I came for lunch and got the Greek-Lemon Soup and Gyros. It was enough to fill us up and we all agreed it was one of the better Greek restaurants we’ve been to. All the other dishes coming out looked great and when I return I’ll be sure to try something new and update my review. Also, the service was prompt and professional, which isn’t always the case these days.

I haven’t had enough Greek food to speak to the authenticity of the food here. But I can tell you the lamb gyro platter I had was outstanding. This place made me realize that I need more Greek food in my life. I love the clean flavors, juicy meats and tasty, tasty pita bread. Plus the service here is great. Our waitress(politely) schooled us on why they don’t serve hummus, as it’s not really Greek cuisine, and instead suggested some tasty and actually Greek alternatives. I don’t know when I’ll be able to pop in here for another meal but I’ll most definitely be back.
