Great late-night spot for whatever you have the munchies for! Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner is always super yummy and the Pozole and Menudo are the bomb! Ditto for the Guac and chips!

They have relocated! I was introduced to Rosewood Family Restaurant a while back by a good friend and I LOVE their food! Their Micheladas are delicious and I was sad to hear they closed but now I’m super EXCITED because they have not closed they relocated closer to me! On South St. In Cerritos. I cannot wait to go have breakfasts here again.

A dive restaurant, but the food was okay. You can tell a lot of regulars come here, but this place is not for me.

I’ve been coming to Rosewood’s since I was a little kid. I remember coming here with my grandmother. The food is always GREAT! The staff is super friendly and always make you feel at home. I usually stop every Thursday to take home some of the best vegetable beef soup you will ever have. Tonight, I decided to eat in. I have never been disappointed here at all. They may not be here for much longer, so, come give it a try before they have to close the doors.

Good place to eat, great service and decent price for a sit down coffee shop. Family owned and run. I usually eat the mushroom swiss burger, but had the pastrami on rye the other night. Surprisingly good. This place never lets me down

My coworker said she wanted something sweet for lunch, but no such thing exists. I asked if she had ever had a Monte Cristo Sandwich? She had never heard of one! One quick Unilocal search later, and I found that Rosewood has them. Off we went. This place is a step back into time. Total late 70’s cabin décor, could definitely use a deep cleaning. You can play the lotto and Keno here, and there is a karaōke lounge behind some doors I did not venture into. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I decided to go with a Patty Melt, because that just seemed like what one should order here. My coworker had the Monte Cristo. Our food came out quickly. She loved her Monte Cristo, she said it was exactly what she was looking for. My Patty Melt was decent, greasy and heavy like I figured it would be. The onion rings were pretty good. I wouldn’t come rushing back here for anything. It’s an average place with average food. Not bad, not great. Just A-OK!

For some context: I came here at 1am with family and it’s the first time I’ve been here Friendly servers sat us at a very roomy table, surrounded by the robust and at-home décor of the walls and ceiling. Very beautiful. The guys that sat behind us kept cussing up a storm, super drunk and were talking too much about drugs which was awkward hearing around my family, however that’s kinda irrelevant. I ordered a burger and fries. Fries were average tasting, like any other diner. Not soggy, pretty crispy but not that much potato flavor as it seemed overshadowed by the excessive crisp. I ordered a burger that was a half pound, and damn, it sure was big and meaty. It was cooked perfectly, slightly pink In the middle and very juicy n tender. I’d rate that meal a 7⁄10. Standard diner burger meal. My mom and aunt ordered a Mexican dish, however I forgot exactly. It came with beans but on the outer portion of the beans, the beans were dehydrated and burned; the same thing you get when you microwave them too long. So basically, it’s microwaved for sure. Take all this for what it is, I don’t remember much other details

Only reason we ate here was because it was a Sunday night & just about everywhere else was closed. We have never been to Rosewood so we were very hopeful especially in reading the great reviews… I ordered a grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes & gravy. The chicken was a thin filet, by the time i cut away the grissle away I ended up with about 2 maybe 3 inch piece of thin flavorless meat. The gravy looked like poop… the mashed potatoes were powdered & cold… like just taken out of the fridge cold… did they think putting hot poop oops I mean gravy would heat them up? Nope… DISGUSTING!!! The Fiancé ordered the Stir Fry… flavorless & total crap!!! Minute rice, frozen veggies & grissle covered meat. WEWILLNOTBEBACKANYTIMESOON!

LOVE this place! My new favorite spot. Beats norms. My BF brought me here and I’ve been hooked since. The service is good and pretty fast. The prices are a bit high compared to other places, but well worth it. Catch me here Sundays :)

Being open 24 hours makes it a plus for me and my love. Busy schedules. Just plain busy. After a late night work out, we needed to find the unhealthiest way to refuel. Consumed: Me: NY steak and eggs My Love: country fried steak and eggs Simply Good :) Service: Amazing. Much credit to our sweet server on July 14, 2014 who worked on 11:00 pm shift and had to deal with our random conversation. You honestly told me you made a mistake by adding to much cinnamon to my cappuccino but it was the best mistake ever made.

This has been a go-to breakfast spot of mine for years. I can’t comment on all their food because I have basically been coming here for their menudo, pozole and machaca with eggs. My friends will usually order something different, then try mine and say«I should have ordered what you ordered» …duh. The pozole is bomb and the perfect little pick me up after a rough night out. Also, their coffee is pretty darn good as well and they keep it coming. You may also order a yummy, strong bloody mary from the bar if that is the medicine you need. The bar is somewhat hidden and is also a great place to enjoy your breakfast as opposed to eating out in the family area of the restaurant. I have always been greeted and have never had a complain when it comes to service. I did notice that this last time around they did some major cleaning/dusting of the almost all wood interior and I just wanted to let Rosewood know that it was noticed and much appreciated. Keep it up, no one wants to eat in a dusty restaurant. Also, to the chefs… a tad more creativity and passion when it comes to plate presentation would be rad. My friend ordered a veggie omelet with all the vegetables steamed and poured right over the omelet… just didn’t look right but she said it was yummy. Step it up chefs, don’t be lazy.

Everyone knows the Psole is the best! But the Surf & Turf I had tonight was pretty good! The shrimp were perfect, just wished there were more than 3. I had the Split Pea soup & it was right up there with the famous Pea Soup Anderson’s! I had to ask if they made their own! They do, & it’s delicious! We always take home left overs, but it’s usually because there are so many side dishes. I like this spot because it’s an «oldie but goodie!»

Got the country fried steak and eggs. It was kinda tough to eat. Flavor was ok. The biscuit and gravy was not that good. Gravy was too salty and biscuit was flaky. Service was nice so i gave it 3 stars. Food wise a 2 star. Maybe ill jus come back for their reg breakfast or their lunch.

Growing up around this area my whole life, I’ve always come across this restaurant but never seem to have the chance to try it. However, since I didn’t have anything to do, I decided to try this place out since it was local & convenient. I came here around 2−3ish and it seemed pretty empty considering the fact that it is after lunch time. It was kinda cool though since I automatically got to sit down and order right then and there. For the menu, I can say there is a lot to choose from breakfast, lunch & dinner. It’s a great sized menu which can satisfy anyones appetite. As for the food I ordered, I got a Monte Cristo sandwich with home fries, a scrambled egg, and a horchata drink. The portion over all was pretty decent for the price and well enough to fill you up. As for taste, I really enjoyed everything. I liked how the sandwich itself didn’t have too much powdered sugar, the home fries weren’t salty, and the horchata drink didn’t have too much cinnamon etc. Everything tasted«homemade» and not artificial or anything. Overall if your looking for something where anyone in your family or friends would like to try, I would check this place out. It isn’t too loud & the service here is great! :)

We dined here for brunch one weekend, and for a first timer… Place isn’t bad. Not bad at all… Our waitress, Ms. Lizette, helped to make our meal a good one. She tended to our tables(we had three, to the far left as you walk in) rather quickly and was very accommodating to all of our extra add-ons and our late guest arrivals. My son and my nieces thoroughly enjoyed their pancake breakfast combos, which comes with two pancakes, choice of sausage or bacon, and choice of eggs. After they inhaled the pancakes they inhaled a side of fruit(oranges, apples, bananas, grapes, raspberries). Hubby decided on the large bowl of menudo, which came out boiling hot. He said it was a bit on the greasy side, but he ate the whole bowl. The guys sitting next to us told us «the menudo is the best menudo they’ve ever had, next to mom and dad’s cooking». I had the chicken fried steak, with hash browns, eggs over hard, and wheat toast. The toast was served with strawberry jelly packets, but they have grape jelly, too. Just ask for it. I ended up eating everything, lol… The portions weren’t large, but they were the right amount of food. My sister in law and I tried their Bloody Mary, after seeing another lady order one. They do not skimp on the vodka!!! My brother in law told us to doctor it up with Tabasco and black pepper. My mother in law and her friend enjoy going to the bar for a couple of drinks every now and then. Hubby and my brothers in law appreciate that this place is close to home for their mom. There were people of all ages coming in to eat, and there was a constant stream of people coming in. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, and there were plenty of bowls of menudo and pozole bring served. Who knows… Maybe we’ll frequent this place more then just driving past it…
