It’s been 4 years I have been eating bagels here and I never turned back. Every Time same taste and best bagels with a lovely smile on the face. Love it so very much.

Delicious bagels and super friendly staff. I love their breakfast sandwiches. Bring cash as they have a $ 10 limit for credit cards.

Definitely the best bagel I have had in Fairfield County. That being said, I am a Lawnguylander, so I know my bagels, and I’m picky. Friendly, fast, efficient. What more could I want in a bagel store?! Well, they don’t have flagels :(and that saddens me greatly. They have a pick up and delivery option, which is wonderful, and you don’t see that with many bagel stores. The bagels are a bit smaller than traditional New York bagels, but I really shouldn’t be eating that much bread anyway, so no biggie on that one. They also have an extensive salad bar, huge deli menu(20+ creative sandwich options), soups, and Green Mountain Coffee(my favorite!). The blueberry coffee is a personal favorite, so any excuse to be in the East Norwalk/Westport area, I need to stop just for that. I’m hoping they somehow create an IV so I can inject this coffee into my veins, it’s honestly THAT good, and would be worthy of a 5 star after that. The Garlic & Herb and Bacon & Cheddar cream cheese spreads are also amazing– try them!

I am surprised by the mixed reviews. I have never had an issue with this place. The staff is always busting their butt and the product is always good. Seating is limited and outdated so I would suggest take out. 5+ stars for me.

I highly recommend Village Bagels! The food is yummy — I get the Lite Vegetarian wrap. They have a ginormous muffin selection and they all look delicious, I’ve yet to try them all. I am usually helped by Darren, who I suspect is the owner or manager. Darren is very conversational — just the right amount, and exceptionally kind! The woman in front of me mentioned she had been at the hospital all day for her son’s surgery, and Darren gave her a huge bag of bagels and other treats. It’s one thing to serve good food, but quite another to be so generous with the customers. If you need a quick bite, Village Bagels is the place to go!

I love Village Bagels Lo Carb bagels. They are the best! They have a great flavor, size and freshness. Basically, there are only 2 flavors: Plain & Everything but if I call in advance they will make Sesame for me. I live in Florida and whenever I visit the north I make sure to pick up 1 or 2 dozen Lo Carb bagels to bring back with me. I have always found Darren, the owner, and his staff friendly and efficient. When it gets busy, it is worth your patience and wait.

Maybe I’m jaded from all the NY bagels I grew up with, but this was my first CT bagel and I was just plain saddened. It was hard/crusty and crummy instead of soft and doughy inside. Plus, cream cheese and lox on a bagel for $ 10? Ridiculous! Yes, I had lettuce/onion/tomato on it as well, but that’s still absurd. FWIW, the rest of the sandwich menu looked awesome so I may come back and write a new review after that. Until then, service was average. Not fast but not too slow.

Our egg and cheese on a hard roll had no cheese this morning. And only half my bagel with cream cheese had the thinnest schmear of cream cheese! The other half just plain dry. Very disappointed this morning. Definitely have had much better from here.

Solid bagels, quick service, outrageous prices. I just paid $ 9.70 for a bagel with cream cheese and lox. .. There’s no way I’ll be back for a repeat order.

Darren and his staff are the best! The bagels are soft and fresh, the cream cheese is delicious and they have the best lox in the area! By far! From a NYC Jewish Girl — this is the place for your bagels, lox and a schmear.

My boyfriend and I love to come here to splurge once and a while on delicious bagels! A little pricey which is why I only give them 4 stars, but service is always so friendly and prompt, the owner is often here working hard alongside his employees, and the bagels are so fresh and delish.

Mediocre salt bagel with cream cheese. I don’t think I’ll be back. The bagel wasn’t fluffy enough and was too toasted– it was flat and burned. The service was fine.

This is a bustling little spot! Not just bagels for sure; elaborate menus of salads, wraps & sandwich combinations. Variety of bagels which are decent but not my favorite. Chewy but more bread like & smaller than traditional NY bagels. All kinds of smear too. Chips, tea, coffee, candy etc. Small eat in section.

Bagels are good but do NOT order a grilled chicken sandwich! The chicken must a have been an A cup because there was very little meat on the half breast they served. The woman working behind the counter put the cheese in between the tomato and roll instead of straight on the chicken. I’ve never seen that done before.

Called in an order for two double egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches — simple. When i went to pick them up they gave me 5 sandwiches with 1 egg on each. when i explained that they made a mistake on my order, the owner came over and literally yelled at the employee helping me and told him to start ringing up other customers. I was left waiting yet again– very rude and inappropriate the way it was handled. Then, i noticed the owner was attempting to move the eggs from the extra sandwiches to make my order with BAREHANDS. NOGLOVES. He was literally touching my eggs without gloves or so much as washing his hands first!!! DISGUSTING! When i asked if they were wearing gloves when they were handling my food– he ignored me. When i asked again, he said, «yea he’s wearing gloves» referring to the employee who was originally trying to help me. Horrible customer service, unclean and unsafe food preparation– im never going here again

Huge fan of Village Bagel(and it’s not because I used to work there!). The bagels are made daily so they are as fresh as can be. My go-to is a BEC on an everything and with their added grill top, it’s on point. Their cream cheeses taste fresh and things are wrapped up at the end of the day to keep them that way. Staff is friendly but to be honest, you feel a bit rushed when ordering. Plus the owner Darren is a great guy. He recently donated 6 dozen bagels and condiments for the Westport ALS walk. He’s always willing to help his local community. Overall a great bagel/deli spot. Definitely my favorite in Norwalk.

I do love their low carb bagels. I feel they taste like regular bagels but are a little better for you. The low carb everything with olive cream cheese is my fav. Also the bacon, egg and cheese on a low carb is great. I do feel like the prices are CRAZY. Way too much for a bagel shop. Also, their iced coffee is pretty watery and gross. I’d stick to the bagels.

This place is a gem imo. I recently moved to CT and decided to try this place. Parking can be chaotic at times as they share parking with other businesses. I’ve been to a few other VBs in the area, but have enjoyed this one the most. It has a good feel to it. It does get crowded at times, but staff is friendly and fast. Seating is available, but it’s not a big place and they have 1 good sized tv, usually with ESPN on. They specialize in bagels/sandwich type foods, and they do it well! Not only can you buy their signature hot or cold sandwiches, but you can also just buy meats, cheeses and other deli items. Bagel toppings are good and very good portions. Prices are reasonable. They have a great variety of items on their menu. I’ve ordered their bagels, sandwiches and smoothies, all good quality stuff. I recommend the piña colada smoothie. They also have cookies, scones, cakes, all rival similar items on the Starbucks’ menu. Overall very good experiences here, not half-assed prepared sandwiches from Subway. Great bagels, this is a place you’d probably plan on visiting regularly, for what their niche is, they are good! Keep in mind, this place closes early daily, they are open for breakfast and lunch hours, I’m not sure the exact close time, maybe 2PM? Happy bagels everywhere in this village.

Village bagels was my first job in high school, more than ten years ago. I wore an oversized t-shirt that had a smiling bagel wearing sunglasses printed on it. I made breakfast sandwiches, deli sandwiches, and spread cream cheese on bagels. 10 years later, I still find every excuse to pop in when I’m in Fairfield County. The New York style bagels are EASILY the best in Connecticut. Spinach bagels with vegetable cream cheese will somehow always be my ultimate comfort food. Of course, VB has expanded quite a bit since the summer I worked behind the counter. They have quite an extensive menu these days, with a gourmet salad bar, enormous deli sandwiches(I still maintain that the most satisfying sandwiches come on bagels) still TONS of cream cheese flavors(olive pimiento, apple cinnamon, and MANY others) and fabulous baked goods. They also serve Green Mountain coffee– could be better, could be worse. Lots of great memories of this spot, yes, but nostalgia isn’t the only thing that prompts me to keep returning. These bagels have a good thing going.
