I’ve eaten here many times and I’ve never been disappointed. Small town deli’s are kind of a crap shoot but this is one of the good ones. The food is always good.

Driving through the area on business and stopped here for lunch. My business partner and I enjoyed the meal. I had the black bean veggie sandwich which was fabulous; the sweet flavored pickled relish gave it a very unique taste. Unfortunately my wife missed out knowing she would really love the sandwich. Weather was warm and breezy as the front screen door was open creating a comfortable fall vibe inside. Recommend to anyone in the area for a great meal

Had the breakfast egg sausage poppy begal with coffee. I really enjoyed the meal as well as the coffee even though I rarely drink coffee. About $ 7.

I had a super yummy vegetarian wrap(black bean) and the employees were seemingly very cool. The owner(I’m assuming that’s who he was) was accommodating and a real problem solver regarding non-dining related issues. Bravo! P. S. The pickles are tasty too.

Outstanding food and great background music. Staff was very friendly. We had the philly and the Italian, both were fantastic. I would go there everyday if I lived here.

Food is good. Diverse, creative menu. Reason only 2 stars is the blaring alternative metal music. Mentioned it but counter agent did not seem to hear me & I did not feel like shouting… Not sure owners realize sound system is in place for pleasing young staff & not demographic of customers. Made my order to go; you may want to do the same.

I reccommend getting the Philly cheesesteak. Beef was tender and the onions, hot peppers added a kick of flavor. I wish we got the larger size since their small size is quite small. We also tried the BLT, which was pretty standard. I’ll probably skip that next time and try something more original on their menu.

This place is fantastic. The bread was home made from somewhere, not sure if it was on site or close by. The meats were all premium quality and they were very generous with their meat to bread ratio. Produce was all fresh and crisp. I opted for no mayo on my Italian sub and the guy recommended sub sauce(Italian dressing) which was a nice combination. There wasn’t a lot of seating and this place was PACKED, my fault for going at 12:30 I guess. I just wish this place was closer to where I am working for the week because I would eat lunch here every day. Small sandwich + small soda + chips was almost $ 10 but worth every penny.

Grew up in small town Norwich and love the food Garfs offers. Except the big downer is the staff. Rude staff and more rude owner. Seem to never be able to keep people around. If you’re not of high social class expect the cold shoulder and a very awkward experience. Few years back even had the owner tell my four year old brother he was an animal and made him cry. Boycotted the establishment for awhile but not many places you can get good deli food. Good food but very embarrassing manners for such a small business.

Great deli with fresh meat and bread, clean interior, and reasonable prices. They serve fresh coffee alongside their sandwiches which always seems to hit the spot. The major downside of this place is how early they close! I can’t get a great sandwich for dinner! Oh well. Still worth the 5 star review. Street parking only can be a bit of a nuisance during lunchtime, especially when it’s cold out and there’s snow on the sidewalk. Otherwise, a great place to stop by for a relatively quick bite that’s much better than fast food.

I love this place! Food is always fresh and delicious and the staff is friendly and knowledgable about their product. The bread is made on premise as are the soups and chili. Always something new too, no need to get in a food rut here.

A really excellent lunch spot. As a vegetarian, I was excited to see a good variety of non-meat sandwiches. I settled on the mushroom Reuben, which was a perfect choice, with huge chunks of portobello on marble rye. It was not too greasy(a common downfall of grilled sandwiches made of cheese and dressing), and just the right size. The coffee was good, too, and the booth was a nice place to sit and look out the window and pass some time. I would recommend this to anyone passing through.

I stopped by this deli since it seemed like the highest rated place to eat by the hospital. This is such a cute little deli. I got the turkey sandwich and was not disappointed. Everything was fresh and delicious. I would suggest getting the onion rings which were so crispy and fresh. The sweet potato fries are good too. Both sides went well with my sandwich. I also liked how my latte was made! The staff is super nice and always answered all my questions.

Garfs is awesome and the food is excellent. Everything is fresh and all is made with the most attention to detail. I will be back for more especially for the rest of the food on the menu.

Grew up in Norwich and always loved going there as a kid HOWEVER, not sure what happened but the service was absolutely terrible! This blonde lady should have told me to get out of the place because that’s basically how she treated me. So rude for such a small town deli. I asked my parents if they had the same service and it turns out that she is that rude to everyone. Time for a change!

This is a great little Deli in the pretty little town of Norwich. On our trip I had the special which was a unique pulled pork sandwich in a black berry sauce with bacon… which was delicious! My wife had the Reuben which was also really good. This is a great place to stop while on Route 12 heading through New York.

Garf’s Deli is exactly what a small town deli should be. The owner and waitstaff here are top notch. Garf’s is known for a super friendly atmosphere and great conversations … They really make you feel at home. The variety in sandwiches is also a major selling point here. Sure, any good deli/diner worth its salt has variety, but Garf’s goes above and beyond(especially in a small town where they really doesn’t have a lot of competition). You’re going to get the sandwich you want, on the bread you want, with anything you want on it … and it’s going to be very good. The prices and portions are incredible. You’ll be full and still have plenty of room for desert or a smoothie(see the menu). This is a small town deli with big city taste. Definitely stop in.

The food was great, and there was a LOT of it. The prices are right, and the beer was cold. What a great find in Norwich!
