Be careful when shopping here, as it is clear their employees work off of commission. They are extremely sneaky and will try to push you into buying even when they know LensCrafters doesn’t accept your insurance. I went in looking for a pair of glasses and told the woman helping me which insurance plan I had upon arrival. She said nothing about it being out of network and let me proceed to try on frames. When it came time to pay the price was a lot higher than anticipated. I told her that my insurance covers much more than what was displayed on her screen, yet she still said nothing about being out of network and instead tried to up sell me on anti-glare and scratch resistant frames. I decided to leave and called my provider who told me what was going on. I then went back to the store and shared this new information. She finally said, «well we accept your insurance but it’s out of network.» She could’ve saved both of us a lot of time if she wasn’t trying to swindle me out of some extra money. I would never recommend a visit here.

Not much variety and you’re not welcome during the closing hours. They’ll literally ask you to check out other shops if you go around the time they close, they don’t need your business.

I went to this location and saw Dr Sharma a few times. My husband also was a patient there. The last time I had booked an appointment, I told them that I had new insurance and they took some information. When I arrived for my appointment, they told me that they don’t take my new insurance. I asked them why they didn’t bother to call me ahead of time and they didn’t have an answer. Although I had left work early and wasted an afternoon, it was a blessing in disguise. My husband and I went to a new doctor in the area and come to find out that Dr Sharma had prescribed glasses for my husband when he didn’t actually need them. This was based on the notes from Dr Sharma in the transferred files plus the new doctor’s exam. We are happy with our new eye doctor and feel that we get a more comprehensive exam although we do sacrifice convenience of getting glasses quickly.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. Literally, one hour ago my contact cracked(hard contacts). Dr. Patel took me in — 5 minutes before closing, gave me a full eye exam and had me out the door with new contacts in less than 45 minutes!!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! I would have missed an exceedingly important business event if it was wasn’t for them.

These people are awesome. Dr Sharma is a great doctor. I did have a problem at other place that is local and my glasses felt heavy and they couldn’t fix even after three attempts. I visited lens crafters and in first visit dr sharma figured out that they weren’t using the right P.D. When cutting the lenses. This place rocks. Highly recommended.

I give this business 2 stars because the first time I went, I got what I needed, and in a timely manner. It is a good place if that is what you want. Today, I found out that they are really a deceptive business. Any business that has a sale all the time, doesn’t really have price integrity. Full story: I broke my glasses and came in today to get them repaired or replaced. They were expensive, $ 400 or so with my AAA discount, my Harvard Pilgram discount and of course their semi-annual sale which was still running since the last time I had been in, 6 weeks ago. I did not get they buyer protection plan and they no longer had the frames so they tried to sell me a new pair including lens. They would offer me 40% off of frame and lens instead of their sale of 50% off just lens only. All I wanted was my lens in a new frame but they couldn’t seem to do that. So I left and found a place in Plainville that will fix them for a lot less than the new pair they were trying to sell me. Glasses in an hour, go for it. Anything else, Walmart is up the road.

What a huge difference from the Dedham location! Hands on approach and helpful with just the right amount of customer service when needed. I let them know how I was treated in the Dedham location and they made sure to let me browse. In about 30 minutes I was set up with a new pair of sunglasses with my prescription and it was a painless experience.

Customer service is non existence at this location. You get different answers to the same question depending on who you speak with, this caused me to make 2 needless trips there when they messed up my eye glass order, by telling me my glasses were ready, when in fact they weren’t. I was there on 4÷17÷12, and every single computer was down, thereby taking 45 minutes to order a replacement pair of glasses. As the computers were down they gave me a receipt for my payment scribbled on a post it note – no lie! Avoid Carrie at all costs-she couldn’t provide less customer service if she tried; she been working there for a while, I have no clue how she manages to keep her job. As soon as my eye glass warranty is up, I will be switching eye glass providers.

If I could have given this Lenscrafters zero stars, I would have. I went to Lenscrafters in Norwood on a Sunday afternoon and was absolutely horrified with the customer service. There were four employees and not one of them offered me any help. They stood around, one staring at me as though I were going to steal, and none offering help, in spite of the fact that staff far outnumbered the customers. One employee was carrying on a conversation on a cell phone on the floor. When I finally selected a pair of glasses, no thanks to the staff, and sought out an employee, he was incredibly rude. So much so that I left the glasses there. Absolutely horrifying, and as a result, they lost out on a sale.
