Thai Boo is on my top lists for great Thai restaurants in the area– I have 4 that I will go to. My favorite item on their menu is the pad see you — LOADED with veggies :) I also love that they bring yellow curry sauce with the scallion pancake! For sure a gem in Norwood :)

I recommend going to this place during lunch time. The lunch menu is tasty and portioned out wisely. The price is great too. I would not recommend getting the vietnamese noodle(Phở) here. It taste like those packaged instant noodle…

Our new favorite Thai in Norwood! Veg soup with a nice delicate broth, crispy fresh veggies, delicious. The fact that it is a small Mom & Pop operation shows in the friendly service and care in the preparation of the food, not just the recipe but beautiful presentation. Clearly«made with love» I am not a Pad Thai«aficionado» but had to try for comparison. The noodles were nicely al dente, not sticky, the seasoning nothing spectacular but I guess thats what Pad Thai is. The red curry beef dish was just perfect! In my quest for the perfect spring roll, theirs is a contender. Not greasy, fresh veggies and vermicelli just right. The sauce was just OK. Hope there is room for another Thai restaurant in Norwood. Seems they haven’t quite caught on yet. But Thai Boo is the only one I will likely be patronizing from here on.

No-frills Thai restaurant in a cute area of Norwood. The food is excellent and they have an excellent selection of Thai food. I really like the fresh rolls as an appetizer. The curry has just the right amount of heat. The place is never crowded and the wait staff are very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back!

We had crab fried rice and Thai Phở for entrée which were both very good. I asked for the crab rice to be spicy. Waitress asked how I would like it 1 – 5 level of spice, I said 4. Wow was that spicy, very tasty as well ate the whole thing. Had Tom Yum soup and larb for apps. Tom Yum was ok, but the larb was terrible. Worst larb I ever had. I love Thai food and was really looking forward to it :(. The place is clean, decent décor, when we got there we asked to sit in the one booth in the whole restaurant. I was told it wasn’t available. Which was weird since we were only people in the restaurant. Later noticed the waitress was using the booth to sit and play with her phone. That was a little annoying. Overall not a bad place.

My sincere appreciation for their prompt delivery …, my dear friend in the Dedham area was very sick and no one available to deliver hot soup … I placed the order from Chicago … I ordered chicken & shrimp Phở soup w/a side of rice and coconut ice cream … She said it was very good and hot when delivered !!! Ty again to the staff!

Stopped by on lunch break cause I really wanted some phở and this was the closest. Good thing because it was good phở. I got the beef phở, while the beef itself is nothing special it’s the broth that makes the phở. It was dark and rich. Not overly spicy to start but I added alot more chili afterwards cause I like it hot. Good size portion and friendly service. Will def try other menu items.

Bought takeout at this Thai place in downtown Norwood, Ma. It is next to Conrads in Norwood. Clean and friendly. The padthai was just OK. The noodles were slightly undercooked and the portion was very SMALL. I also ordered the Fresh roll with shrimp which was very good. I think I will stick with Siam Lotus because it is better pad thai and it is easier to park. If you are a fan of Thai you should check out this place.

The food was incredible. Been trying to find a new favorite authentic Thai food restaurant. First time at Thai Boo, I have now found my spot. People here are great. Had the spring rolls, tom kha with chicken, and spicy bamboo with beef and sticky rice. If you love Thai food… Thai Boo is a must go.

I ordered takeout from here recently and was thoroughly impressed. Their veggie pad thai and spring rolls tasted so fresh and not at ALL like they had been sitting in takeout containers for 15 minutes(the time it took me to drive home). The women working here were so sweet and friendly. I’ve been searching for a GOOD Thai restaurant in Norwood and I’ve finally found it! Best of all, they offer gluten free items. So excited to eat here again.

Usually get the beef phở and it is great! If you are in the mood for some Phở try it out here. I also tried the Pad Thai and that was also good. I usually do take-out and the wait time is pretty short.

Authentic Thai food. Amazing papaya salad. Ultra spicy the way I like it. Had to drink quite a few glasses of ice water to cool my tongue though. Pretty worth it I’d say :) the staff who works here are really friendly, they made me feel right at home. Must say, I had my best pad Thai here! :) Good luck to one of the younger staff going back to Thailand! :) like one of the other customers said, we’ll miss you!

Unfortunately I wish I could have given a better rating but I was extremely not happy here. I’ve been here before and ordered take — out based on the Unilocal reviews and my order were pretty good. There are not a ton of places that offer Phở soup in my area so I gave it a try here. After having take-out, I decided to have dinner out with my hubby and children(which we don’t do often), we arrived at 5pm on Saturday and there was only one server and one other couple seated(the couple arrived literally 1 minute before us)…for some reason it took 15 minutes to get water another wait to put in our order and when our food came out, we received it was all at different times. To make matters worst, the server advised that they did not have my hubby’s order(after waiting for 20 minutes for the food to arrive!) It was awful so we decided to leave. I spoke with the manager the next day and she explained the staffing for the evening and offered a gift certificate which was a nice gesture. I will use it for take-out but would not consider dining in again.

First time at Thai Boo, and I’m a fan. The food was fantastic, and the woman was very friendly and helpful. The vegetable boo dumplings were very tasty, and also have such a great name. I’m pretty sure I kept saying Boo Dumplings all night. I had a craving ALLWEEK for Tom Yum soup, and this did not disappoint. Shrimp was very fresh and the soup hit the spot. I had the fresh ginger entrée with chicken. I love ginger, and this also met my expectations of what an item specifically called Fresh Ginger, should be. Everything was nicely plated. The interior was cute. It was a Sunday evening so very quiet. We will definitely be back. Haven’t found any good Thai restaurants in Dedham, so this is a great option that is close by.

I love this place the food was spot on with flavor, presentation and portion. The portion size matched the price and for the men you wouldn’t be disappointed. They make the most delicious crab rangoon ive ever had. I also had the chicken satay and pineapple fried rice which was also delicious. Another perk about this place is you can add and minus ingredients in your food such as raisins or nuts. The ambience is nice not to over the top where you can’t bring a child. For drinks I had plum wine which I love however the only selection they had was the one I ended up not liking because of the wood after taste. Since i didnt like the wine they gave me another glass of wine without extra charge(that’s what you call great service). all in all I give it 4 and a half stars I think there should be more than one selection for plum wine but overall I had a great dining experience!

Unique food. Unlike what you’ve had elsewhere. In a good way. I believe they make everything from broths to sauce themselves. The men’s room is impeccably clean! The waitress is very polite and courteous. Recommend!

Tried Thai Boo Cuisine yesterday on the way back from Boston because they had the Unilocal deal for $ 10 dollars, you get $ 15 dollars of thai food. This allowed me to try the Tom Kar soup on their menu; a coconut soup with mushroom, tomato, onion flavored with galangal, lemongrass, lime leaf and topped off with scallion. It was as good as some of the soups I’ve had in past thai restaurants and it fit the description. Although I wish the onions were cooked a little more because it was pretty much raw onion in the broth. The pea pods and carrots were good, as was the rich & creamy, coconut broth. My brother and I shared two dishes, the mixed veggie pad thai and the mixed veggie pad see eew(both without egg). When I go to a thai restaurant, I usually order the pad thai because it is the one dish that you can get a sense of how good that restaurants thai food is, however, I was really disappointed in the pad thai at Thai Boo. It was too light in color(see attached photo), no dimension in flavor really and it was a little too sweet for my taste. The pad see eew, on the other hand, was more flavorful and was pretty good. Not knock your socks off amazing but definitely better than the pad thai. It left me wishing that I had order two pad see eew’s instead of the pad thai. Overall, the staff was friendly, the place clean looking(except for a bug that was alive under my napkin on the table) and there was a steady stream of regulars/customers coming in for pickup while we ate. It was good but I won’t be making the hike out to Norwood just to eat there. Thanks to Unilocal for showcasing it and to Thai Boo Cuisine for participating in the deals on Unilocal

During our outing for dinner at Thai Boo Cuisine out in Norwood, I hadn’t expected a walk down memory lane. Turns out that while the predecessor to Thai Boo was Smile Smile according to Candice B.‘s review, I had been here once(actually, several times) before, when it was the restaurant formerly known as Bistro 712. I actually Unilocaled about it a couple of months after I first established my profile back in 2008. It was my 17th review. But now it is a Thai restaurant, with a smiley, friendly server handling about 12 tables — of which two were occupied upon our arrival — all on her lonesome. A Groupon deal had led us out this a ways, and to order an appetizer, two soups/salads, two entrees, and a dessert between the two of us. Except we made it two appetizers, and upgraded the 2nd salad to the larb by paying the $ 2 price differential. I loved both appetizers. The light and crisp scallion pancakes dressed with the yellow curry sauce dotted with diced potato was a warming textural sensation at $ 7.95 for the Yellow on Scallion Pancake. The Thai Coconut Shrimp $ 8.95 arrived as five butterflied creatures well battered and fried to a meaty crisp with tasty coconut shreds — yum! I’m so glad we decided to go with both! The seaweed salad $ 4.95 was a very good restaurant portion for the price. The Larb $ 7.95(minced chicken, with mint leave, cilantro, scallion, onion and rice powder tossed in lime juice) was tasty, but at mild it was still much too spicy for me. Thus I ended up drinking two Thai Iced Teas $ 2.50 — and those are not free refills! The server, however, was kind enough to offer to have it remade for us ~ though I suspect that they just tried to doctor up the portion we had initially since it seemed to have come back on the same plate with the mussed up lettuce. And it was still on the spicy side, but we made do. Our entrees weren’t quite up to par relative to the apps and later desserts. The Pad Thai with mixed veggie and tofu combo($ 9.95 for one or the other, but not sure how much it was for the combo version) were of good texture and good still crisp colorful vegetables, however it was a bit on the too salty side of things. I asked the server to let the kitchen know so that hopefully they would be aware of it for the future, and she offered to have them remake it, but we didn’t want her to go to the trouble. The Roasted Duck Curry $ 19.95 mild was a goodly portion of veggies with meaty crispy half duck. We added an order of brown rice for $ 2 with which to soak up the curry sauce, but it was unfortunately a bit mealy when consumed that way. The dessert menu came with photos of each in a tri-fold holder. Quite smart! To help us know our options, it was declared right off that the Thai donuts were not available that night. And since it wasn’t mango season, our server kindly recommended that we forego my first choice in dessert. We ended up getting the banana spring rolls $ 4.95 with the scoop of ice cream $ 6.95 and it was yum! The ice cream had evident bits of ginger within the cool and creamy scoop. The spring rolls arrived as 3 rolls cut in half on the bias on a pool of honey. It was warm and light and crisp. A great way to end the meal! We managed to find a parking spot right on the street, but I spotted a sign pointing down Day Street for those who need a public lot. *** 8⁄2014 *** Head’s up — they have a gluten free menu. It isn’t huge, but it has all the most common Thai dishes in gluten free form. We got both a gluten free and a regular version of your ubiquitous Pad Thai — the gluten free version arrived darker, so they definitely do something different to them.

LOCATION: can’t beat — right off town center, easy access to/from R1, walk to/from train. DECOR: running on the fancier side, not a bad departure from the hole-in-the-wall kind of place. LAYOUT: the whole place has about 10 – 15 tables total + a tall-back booth that sits 6. it’s quiet but cosy, and tables are not too close to one another. may get tricky w/large group walk-in; it may be wise to call ahead so they can put the tables together for ya. FOOD: good; many mildy spicy, as Thai food is. the portion size on the entrees(only had noodle dishes) are a bit on the smaller side. one of our noodles(i.e. pad thai) was a bit… bordering on gluey — almost like if it was cooked w/too much(or too little?) water — it was a bit sticky and did’t separate at ease. STAFF: very friendly and polite; their English is a little efforted. VALUE: 2 appetizers, 2 noodle dishes = $ 40 + tips. not a bad deal. though, we added shrimps to a salad(for extra $), there were 2 shrimps — a little cheesy. they have this frequent customer stamp card too: 5 visits = 1 entrée free(up to $ 10)! but i hope this is not their last struggle to get people in there. coz last time i got one of these cards from another place, it was out of business quite shortly afterwards. @__@ would totally go back more frequently if i were still living in Norwood. why didn’t i find out about this place sooner? MUCH better than overpriced Siam Lotus. NOTE: they do offer gluten-free options, but the number of offerings is sadly limited.
