Delicious food! We are new to the area and found this local spot and we are thrilled to have a new go-to Thai place. We ate there but they seem to do a big take out business. The fried rice was delicious and they even made it extra spicy for my husband. I got the basil pad Thai that’s delicious and the fresh rolls. Will definitely be back!

This is a very good place to enjoy some good Thai. I had the seafood pad Thai which was very good. The waitress was super attentive and the food was prepared quickly. There is seating for around 20 and they did a brisk takeout business. Will stop by again when back in town.

Thai Thani might be the best Thai restaurant on Earth. I have been eating there for 12 years and the food is always exceptional. Monica is a genius in the kitchen and she knows how to make exceptional food every day of the week.

We ordered take out from Thai Thani for the first time last week and definitely will go back. I am vegetarian in the process of going vegan so I ordered the pad thai without egg and they were able to accommodate easily. I also ordered the potato and pea samosa-like app(I’m forgetting the name). Both were really good. The pad thai wasn’t too greasy or over-sauced which is often my complaint. My husband had a chicken, rice and veggie dish and he really enjoyed it. He wasn’t a huge fan of the satay but it wasn’t terrible or anything. The portions were great; we both felt full and satisfied and both really appreciated that none of the food was greasy. The place was packed when I got there to pick up so I waited an extra 15 minutes but I would take that wait and business over empty and quick any day because it shows people like it! Everyone was friendly. A good find! I only wish they did delivery!

Basil pad Thai is soo delicious. It’s just a little bit spicy, just the right amount of sweet. I used to give my coworker a hard time for ordering this at least once a week, sometimes twice, but now I understand.

The first time, I went for take out. I loved the food but the place made me promise to myself I have to have dinner there one day. The restaurant is small, like 5 – 6 tables tops but very cozy. The lady who served us was very friendly. We had one of the two window tables. We tried the golden rings(which were good) and the soft rolls(which were awesome!!!) for apps and then I had the Basil Pad Thai and I’m so glad I did. It was just perfect. Great prices too. Loved it

Amazing food! I love curry, so i would recommend the curry, and the golden cups if you enjoy curried vegetables of course. Their pad thai is amazing. They are always friendly and the place is small, but atmosphere is very warm and inviting.

We came to this place on a Saturday around closing time. Not too crowded. Went there with 3 friends I had the yellow duck curry. I’ve never had such a tender duck. It was phenomenal! The tom kah soup was amazing too. My friends has the duck curry too and the crispy duck. Everybody was enjoying their dinner We will definitely go back. Everybody was so friendly and very helpful!

Very delicious and highly authentic when it comes to Thai food in the area. I absolutely recommend Thai Thani for true Thai food, the portions are HUGE, everything is fresh and hot, and the restaurant is family owned. The only downside is that the seating is tight and not ideal for groups, also be advised this restaurant does not offer and«Asian fusion» dishes. My recommendation is the Yellow curry and pineapple fried rice(made vegetarian).

I usually have the chicken pad Thai and it’s always delicious. It taste even better the next day, as the serving size is so large, I was able to get two servings out of it. The noodles melt in your mouth, you’ll find yourself scraping the plate. Update here, my new favorite dish from this place, and lately my favorite dish ANYWHERE, is their Basil Pad Thai. Unbelievable!

Ordered some takeout here after seeing great reviews. Quick service and nice people working there. Highlights: Pad se ew and drunken noodles were excellent and some of the best I have ever had. Less great: Pad thai(blander) and basil fried rice(not spicy at all and this was our least favorite dish. We will come back and try other dishes and keep ordering those highlights.

Driving home from Boston and starving. whats new, I asked significant other what she had a craving for Without hesitation she said Tom Yum soup. Being stuck in bumper to bumper on the Jamaica Way gave us the time to research Unilocal.Typing in Thai in the towns heading home we saw Thai Thani rated 4 –5 with 125 reviews so I didn’t even have to read one to know that’s an envious record for any restaurant and we just had to try it. Its described as quant, family owned and a good value. Being so well thought of I was worried that we might have to wait at the prime dinner time of 6pm. Was so happy to get a space right in front as it was like 20 out and also that it wasn’t busy. We sat near the window and were immediately approached by a lovely waitress who throughout the meal catered to our every whim be it chopsticks, no problem, tea Ok, lemon with water ok, duck crispy yes, cant finish anything lol no problem The music was traditional Thai but I found it quite relaxing and got me into the mood. Of course we started with the soup The chicken Tom Yum had a distinctive lemony citrus taste that really stands out and creates a layered flavor making this soup a standout amongst the usual fare. Big juicy chicken slices too. In general the first time we hit a new restaurant we need to establish a baseline so we opt for familiarity for comparison sake. Next up was Thai rolls. 4 huge filled rolls that would be considered a salad by some. It’s a light meal or a healthly snack by itself. One of the best I have had. Then the Pad Thai with Tofu arrived. Tofu was lightly crispy, flavorful and juicy. You think tofu is easy but better restaurants know better and I was getting the impression that everything here is a cut above. I haven’t met a pad thai I didn’t like and this was very good indeed. And we finished with the house special boneless duck, at 14.95 the most expensive menu item but man it was so worth it. Crispy yet juicy, not overly fat with some nice vegys in a tasty gravy that was awesome on the white rice. We had plenty of leftover that disappeared somehow by the next day hmm Judging by the steady take out flow and the fact that they have been in business there for over 10 years the place is not a secret and most likely the go to Thai in the Rt 1 Norwood Dedham area for those who appreciate great quality portions and service. I know they have a new customer whenever I’m in the area and in the mood.

Fabulous Thai Restaurant! Very small, out of the way type place with a few tables… Cozy and nicely set up with table cloths on all the tables… Not sure if they have beer or wine… So maybe it’s a BYOB? Mostly seems to be take out, but it would be a cute place to eat in… The food is the best Thai food we have ever had… Large portions and beautifully seasoned… We had soft vegetable rolls, Red Chicken Curry, Tom Yum soup and Basil Chicken Pad Thai… All dishes were excellent… This is all we have tried so far, but I am sure everything else here is awesome. If you like Thai food… this is a definite recommend… A real hidden gem!

Food was mostly very good, but order it as take out! Get the crispy fish, Thai tea, and the Tom Kha soup! We went there for dinner and it’s a very small, very crowded place with limited seating and people standing around everywhere waiting on their take out orders to be ready. Only one(albeit very nice and friendly) woman serving all the tables, bringing all the food out from the kitchen, taking take out orders, ringing people up, etc. Food took a long time to come out and it was very disjointed(one entrée came out, then the rice that was supposed to accompany that entrée arrived 5 minutes later, then the next entrée 5 minutes after that). The reason for the 4 stars was the friendly woman running the front of the house and the quality/taste of the food. The crispy fish was phenomenal and not too spicy. The Thai tea was delicious. The pad Thai was take it or leave it– definitely not the best I’ve had. The Tom Kha soup was extremely good and full of fresh vegetables.

This quaint location in Norwood center is a must for authentic Thai food, at a reasonable cost. Service was prompt and food was delicious. My favorite thing about this place is how deceiving it was. Having drove by here plenty of times, I never would have thought to have a sit-down meal at Thai Thani. Reading my fellow Unilocal reviewers rave reviews, I decided to give it a try. The food was served hot and a great portion. A must for great Thai outside of Boston!

Date of service: Oct 31, 2014 Meal: Lunch, dine in All Ratings out of 10: Quality of food: 6 Food to Spend Value: 8 Quality of Service: 7 Overall Rating: 6.5 I was in the Norwood area for lunch, and Thai pretty much always sounds good. I had never been to Thai Thani before, but my father in law was a fan, so I decided to check it out with him. The place is small but has a nice atmosphere. The menu isn’t huge but has quite a few options. We started with pot stickers. They weren’t the best I have ever had, but they were tasty. For lunch I chose the seafood on crispy noodles. It came with several types of seafood and vegetables. The seafood and veggies were fresh and well prepared, albeit a bit bland(and I had asked for some spice). The thing that felt odd to me was that, though I was in a Thai restaurant, I felt like I was eating Chinese food(I even had a few Asian friends that I sent pics to make the exact same comment with no prodding from me). Granted, it was better than most Chinese food I have ever had, but I had trouble calling it Thai. This hurts the overall rating in my mind since, though the food was good, it wasn’t what I was expecting. The service was pretty good, and the prices seemed pretty reasonable as well. The portions were quite large, and I definitely left the restaurant full. The food was hot and fresh and well prepared but just not«Thai» enough for me. Based on reviews, the locals love it, so they must not care about the authenticity of the food. Overall it is a good lunch spot, but if you are expecting amazing Thai, you will be disappointed. If you want to get full and have decent tasting hot Asian food, then this is a good choice.

We chose Thai Thai based on other reviews It’s a small, family-run Thai place with about 8 tables for 2 and tables are put together for groups of 4 or 6. Street parking in Norwood. Near train station in Norwood We arrived early Friday evening. I’d say for every eat-in diner, 2 – 3 did take out. The lone chef kept everything moving. Favorites: * Soft Rolls Appetizer. It’s a rice paper(not flour) roll filled with veggies and served with chef’s sauce and ground peanuts. Serves 4 * Yellow Curry * Beef Pad Thai, served spicy * Fried Rice, with 3 shrimp, was my overall favorite with some sweetness to it 4th item was Crispy Lad Na and would not reorder There is no booze license and not sure about BYOB, so call ahead. Chopsticks on request. Open daily Lunch and Dinner(Sunday, dinner only)
