My boyfriend and I were able to find a house to rent quickly and easily. David did a great job helping us find a new house and getting all of the paperwork done quick! We were even able to delay move in due to our current lease. It was a great experience.

DONOTEVERUSETHISCOMPANY!!! When I first met with Mark Z in 2011, he promised me that one of the benefits of using his company was that I wouldn’t have to worry about any of the legal aspects of renting a home, leases, etc. His company rented my house from 2011 – 2015 to 4 different renters. Each year, the service from his company got worse and worse, the turnover in employees is staggering. With the last renter, she was not to have any animals on the property aside from one dog. When I had an appraisal done, the appraiser came into my home and documented 2 cats whose liter box was not taken care of the cats had defected all over the carpet/floor. I had to request communication from Mark Z’s staff 4 – 5 times to get anyone to respond, they actually didn’t respond until I basically threatened to sue them for not following through with their responsibilities per the legal contract/agreement between JMZ and me. When I finally talked to the employee at JMZ who took care of my account, I was told that the renter would forfeit her entire $ 3300 deposit because she violated the lease. Long story short, there was NO clause in the lease agreement stipulating security deposit forfeiture simply based on violating the lease agreement. Further, 2 different employees from JMZ actually broke the law and didn’t meet the requirement of the state to provide the renter with an itemized list of damages to the home as well as estimated costs to repair said damages within 30 days after she vacated. They did not tell me that’s what I needed to provide(remember mark Z’s selling point of «no worries about the legal aspects of leasing, we take care of all of that for you!» — Total bullshit). When I took all of the information to my attorney, as the renter disputed my keeping her entire deposit, my lawyer informed me that not only had JMZ not followed their due diligence but they had exposed ME to possible litigation from the renter because ultimately, the law was not followed and even though I was using a rental company, they made sure to shield themselves from any legal responsibility. DONOTUSETHISCOMPANY! They will just take 10% of your monthly income, do absolutely nothing for you(aside from locate renters, but they charge you a commission of 1.5 times the amount of your rent), not respond when you have questions or concerned, and then once you force them to finally respond/answer, they’re going to give you erroneous information that can ultimately screw you over.

I’ve been using the Mark Z team to lease out my condo for the past two years. They’ve always been very professional, quick to respond to e-mails and questions, and they were able to lease it out quickly. The fees are very reasonable. I would highly recommend the Mark Z team if you have a rental property.

I had a great experience with this company. We already bought a house and couldn’t sell our house so we contacted JMZ to find a tenant and then manage it for us. We have been very happy with their services. We can get a hold of them when we need to and they make sure the tenants are taking care of our home.
