I went here for my graduation dinner and couldn’t have been more satisfied with the food and the service. Brookelle(I think) was our server and she was extremely friendly and helpful, even going as far as to entertain my young cousins! The food was delicious, especially the garlic rotolis. We ordered three different kinds of pizza and each kind was equally good. They even gave us a few free appetizers and a free dessert! I would highly recommend this particular restaurant to anyone that is looking for some good food and friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere.

I love this place. Thin, crisp yet chewy crust, cooked in a coal oven! The pizza is the best in my opinion. It always has the right amount of sauce and other toppings. The garlic ratolis are amazing. Doughy garlic knots covered in oil and Parmesan cheese. They have draft peer and also wine and other cocktails. The staff has always been friendly, some times slow, but always friendly. If you sign up for their emails, you can get a free pizza on your birthday! It gets busy, but not so busy where you have to wait for ever. You can usually get right in at lunch and dinner is never a long wait, even on the weekends! Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

After our most recent pizza experience here — which was just«meh» — I can’t help but ask: What is it about pizza places and consistency? This place, like almost every other pizza place, can’t put out the same product every time. How it turns out depends on who is making it. I wish I wish I wish they would teach every single employee to do it the exact same way. As it stands it’s too hit or miss. Sigh.

Ambiance: Nice modern feeling bar with dark woods and nice high ceilings. The staff were super friendly and they offered us free breadsticks since it was our first time with them. As we waited though, the bartender was offering free drinks and sodas just to be friendly. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Food: I’m not normally a thin crust guy but this is THEBEST thin crust I’ve had. We had the medium Capo. Crust was crispy and not charred, the sauce had a ‘classic’ hearty and savory tomato flavor and the toppings were fresh. Unlike your chain restaurant pizzas, the pepperoni and sausages really popped with flavor. The garlic knots were warm and fluffy, served with a smooth marinara and ranch dipping sauces. The garlic is raw which I enjoy but may put some people off. Overall this is probably my new favorite pizza place. It’s really hard to beat their friendliness and great execution. I literally can’t think of how they could improve the experience and feel their prices are justified. FYI they have half-off pizzas on Thursdays which I plan on attending on few :)

Read such great reviews so decided to give Tony’s a try. Has a kind of a family friendly feel, few tvs, small bar area. Open dining but no booths. We had a very nice waitress who did a great job with service but unfortunately the complimentary garlic rolls, as first timers receive, were just okay. The salad was fair, and finally the highly touted coal oven pizza was pretty mediocre… Bland crust & sauce. We really didn’t care for it at all. I’d say 2 stars for food and 4 for service and price point.

We come here for the pizza(the Napoli is our favorite), and the meatball lollipops are amazing! Tonight, there was a mistake with our kids’ pizzas and they didn’t come out with the rest of our food. The kids were devastated(and very hungry). Our waitress immediately came over and apologized, the manager quickly brought some garlic rolls to hold them over. Great service! Mistakes happen, but it’s how they are handled that makes a difference. We’ll be back for sure!

Yes we live in Detroit — THE mecca of horrible pizza due to the double whammy of Domino’s and Little Caesars both starting here. Yes, the masses here are conditioned that pizza should be cheap garbage, but fortunately this place is different. Legit New York style/quality pizza. Buddy’s and Pizzapapalis are also solid local choices, but this is my go to thin crust. Highly recommended.

The pizza was a little bland, but was really good. Hardly any grease on the pizza which is awesome. The pizza was large for the price you paid and for the quality. The waitress was very attentive. They gave us free garlic knots because it was our first time there so that was a bonus. Will be coming back for sure!

I’ve never had a bad pizza. But rarely have I had a good authentic Italian pizza! Ever craving real Italian pizza out of the oven? This is the place. Recommend the garlic rotolis with ranch and marinara sauce! Pizza-Bianco pizza is the one I tried with chicken! It was awesome! Go on Thursdays! Half off on all pizza!

I came here with my mother-in-law a couple of months ago and have been wanting to come back ever since. The pizza is delicious, the atmosphere is nice, and service is excellent. Updating since I’ve been back many times since my first visit — both done-in and take-out. Highly recommend the Pepperoni Classico pizza!

A homerun from start to finish. I am so glad I finally found a place where I can get an authentic Italian style Bianca pizza. This means the pizza is all white, with fresh cheese, and a coal fired oven, no toppings. Absolute perfection! We were also very pleased with our Caesar salad, and the meatball appetizer. Service was exceptional, friendly, and prompt. This place is an hour and 10 minutes from my home, but I’d definitely be willing to make the trip again.

Never been to this establishment but tonight was the right day to go. Every Thursday is half-off all pizza. What a deal. Friday is half-off wine by the glass and bottle. Our waitress was Sarah and she was excellent. She promptly followed-up with requests and frequently checked back to see how we were doing. We started with a Caesar salad, which was delicious. Fresh lettuce and yummy dressing. The croutons I did not care for. My main course was a medium pizza with pepperoni. The pizza is very very tasty. I think mine was cooked a little too long because the bottom of the crust was very very dark and hard. Don’t get me wrong, I still loved it. I look forward to my next visit which I think will be soon.

But this is by far my husbands favorite which is why i gave at least a 3. Pizza Pizza!

Seen this place on Unilocal and wanted to try it. Finally was staying in the area so I took the family for lunch. Server greeted us and asked if it was our first visit. Once we told her yes she told us they give a free appetizer(dough balls in oil and Parmesan) to new customers. Tasted yummy and was very fresh. We also ordered the 16″ pie with just pepperoni. This was some of the best thin crust we ever had(and I’m a pizza snob!). Service was excellent, food very fresh and tasty. Would recommend this pizza joint to anyone that loves thin crust and fresh ingredients. We will be coming back anytime we are in the area.

Ok I’m still experiencing the ITIS lol! This place is fantastic! Headed out tonight to celebrate a couple friends exciting news, trekked our town, royal oak, and Troy with one of two issues: «we don’t take reservations» or «you’re looking at an hour plus wait for a party of 8» ugh! No matter I found this place on Unilocal and called. They took my reservation and set a table for 8 with no problem! They could have served me cardboard and I would’ve given them 2 stars alone just for this alone! But they get 5 for two reasons; amazing service and fantastic pizza! Seriously, the service was attentive without being suffocating, waters were always refreshed and they accommodated each of 8 girls pizza request without any problem! Onto the food! The garlic rolls are A MUST! Even if you order nothing else here, get the rolls! It’s hard not to want to order any pizza though because their options are all enticing. Thin crust, fresh veggies, real mozzarella, and a darn good sauce! Highly recommend for big parties and families! But is totally worth going to, even alone ^_^

Being from New York I scoff at pizza from anywhere other than Nyc-Long Island, but I must say Tony Sacco’s is the best around here. Pros: Pizza, service, value, garlic knots Cons: Sauce is bland and the super thin crust is a double edged sword. They have the best garlic knots hands down. They are in a bath of a garlicy Parmesan oil. I would prefer a little more substance on the garlic and a little less oil, but I still take a half order to the dome each time. The pizza is super thin crust, even more thin than the pies back home, but this is so much better than the thick stuff we are so used to eating here, which is caught in between a round neapolitan and square Sicilian slice. The thin crust holds up very well, but means that they go lighter on some of the toppings. The toppings are awesome and high quality. It has an excellent texture and flavor, but is just slightly bland for my pallet. The service is great and very helpful. They also are very attentive and your meal can take as short or long as you want it to. We’ve had Jordan and Ryan as servers and they’ve been awesome. The prices are great as friday has all day happy hour prices on beer and half price garlic knots. In closing, not the best pizza I’ve had, but definitely the best around. It is worth the 20 minute drive from my house and I look forward to getting it again.

I’ve yet to have a bad experience at Tony Sacco’s. The pizza and rotollis are our go-to and always out of this world delicious. On top of that, Ryan and Jordan provide us with the best service in the bar area. They seriosuly kill it every time– they’re personable, hospitable and efficient — it doesn’t get much better than them.

Tony Sacco pizza is about the best coal oven Sicilian(thin crust type) pizza I have had in MI. Whenever I am near there I feel the need to get there pizza. They use fresh and top quality toppings, I love the fresh sausage… !! You know it’s fresh when it is crumbled on the pizza and not those little pebbles that the chain stores use. Garlic knots are good, and garlicky(that’s why garlic is in the name people!) Anyone who enjoys EXCELLENT coal oven pizza should try Tony Sacco’s …

We like this place! We started our evening with some garlic rotolis on the house, it was our first visit and our waiter was awesome like that. So nice! These are little globs of fresh dough, soaked in light(flavored! Not light as in diet) olive oil and topped with fresh basil. These were a big hit with my Mr. We also ordered a salad which was fresh and crisp, and a large Bianco pizza. This pizza is a mix of mild cheeses and ricotta on an olive oil base finished with fresh basil chiffonade. I really love the crust on the pizza, it is crispy and crunchy with just enough dough to not become cracker-like. Our first pizza came out a little well-done, it was black/burned on the majority of the bottom and the cheeses were tough as opposed to stringy. Because the burnt flavor was overwhelming and hard to move beyond we brought this to our waiters’ attention. They quickly made us a fresh one and handled everything with class. Also, if you are wondering about cost because of the many mentions regarding high prices, we ordered an additional ½ order of rotolis, a small salad and large pizza and our bill came to just shy of $ 30.00 pre-tip. Roughly $ 15 per person(in our instance) seems reasonable and fine, to me. I believe that Sundays is free rotoli night and on Thursdays they have 20% off any pizza.
