This as good as it gets for dance shoes. A Shopping for tango/​ballroom shoes at SWD was a big step up from some of the cluttered crowded places I have been to in NYC and you pay no tax in NJ. There is a great selection of tango practice shoes with Cuban heels and fancier stepping out shoes. I have wide feet and bunions but was able to find comfortable and attractive practice shoes, taking the helpful salepeoples’ advice to buy the nude color which gives the leg a longer line. Plus they go with everything. I may be back to buy the silver heels, but I may need another lesson in how they strap! Thanks to all who waited on me on a busy Saturday and answered my questions.

Very happy with the customer service at this store. I needed to order online but needed help and some direction for what I was looking for so I called the store. They were so helpful in directing me to exactly what I was looking for and more importantly took their time with me. I did not feel like I was rushed to get off the phone. Their attentiveness to me would bring be over and over again. I have two pairs of shoes that I love and am about to buy my third pair! Definitely recommend.

I have been shopping at this store for few years now. The quality and prices are amazing here. Once you figure out your true size, they are the best. They are very flexible to work with individuals on returns till you get the right size. I totally recommend this store.

Great selection of ballroom shoes. 10% discount if you are a student or referred by one of the dance studios in their list. The prices are comparable to Worldtone or Capezio in the city, but there’s a truly wide range of styles and colors. They also have models for wide and narrow feet. The staff member who helped me was professional and helpful

OMGosh! The best of the best. Quality, Quantity, product knowledge, the list goes on and on. This IS the only place to buy your Ballroom Attire. The styles are endless. My daughter is one of the hardest fits for clothing and I was prepared to have to settle BUT they had sooo many dresses for her we couldn’t believe it! The sales staff was super patient, honest, and friendly. They KNOW their ballroom! As far as shoes, that’s another issue I usually have a nightmare with but they found not one but a few styles that fit my daughter perfectly! This is the 2^nd time we’ve gone and its 100% worth it. The bus from Manhattan Port Authority leaves you 3 blocks away from the shop. Its a nice safe 10 minute walk. The shop and sales staff are GEMS!!! This is the ONLY place to go. Again, the best of the best! Wish they had a shop in NYC.

Staff is very helpful and very nice. Prices are pretty expensive but the sales are a delight! I’ve been here several times & I would definitely recommend it to any dancer.
