This is a great salon. I used to come to get haircuts with Annette, really the only one I trust doing my hair. However, after a while she just started getting a little lazy with my hair and would barely cut it, even though I kept telling her more, which is why I’m only giving 4 stars. I also came here to have my hair straightened and it turned out great.

I recently moved here from California and came across LuLu’s salon. Today I called and was happy that they could see me without an appointment. Michelle took care of me today, she was so nice and fun to talk to meanwhile she did a great job with my hair! I fully plan on coming back for all my hair care needs and will continue to ask for Michelle! The décor in the salon was cute and the woman at the front desk was very nice as well.

I recently moved to the area and needed a new hairstylist. I made the mistake of going to one of those cheap-o places to get my hair cut and they totally butchered my hair. So I waited a month for it to grow out a little and then went to Lulu’s. The inside is decorated all 50’s pin-up girl style and there are a million wooden quote placards and pictures on the walls. The chairs are vintage style and the mirrors are old dressers with mirrors that have been refurbished. My hairstylist(Annette, the owner) understood my hair problems quickly and managed to fix my terrible haircut. I love my new cut and have a new place I can trust for haircuts. It was great going somewhere in this area that had a little quirkiness — you don’t find that too much around these parts.

I live off Hwy K and drive by Lulus everyday, but have never stopped in. I saw a groupon for a Shellac mani and thought I would give it a try. I was a little put off when I first walked in because the place was empty, very quiet and the décor was heinous. A couple of girls greated me and I sat down for my mani with Donna. She is very sweet and really took her time to do a perfect job. My manicure was beautiful! I couldnt help it though to look around during my mani and think what a horrible job they did decorating the place though. There is literally old hats, dresses and BRAS tacked to the wall. There is also horrid garage sale pics hung on the wall with price tags for $ 3 on them. Anyways, I would definitely go back to Donna bc of the great service!

I just recently started going to this salon, and I love it. I lived in southern California for five years and had some of the best stylist around. I moved back here, to the St. Louis area almost two years ago and had not been able to find anyone of comparison, until I found this salon. It is very professional and up to date with all the latest trends. I love the look and feel of the salon as well. Heather, my stylist, never disappoints! I love to try something new every time I come in and she is always up to the challenge. I have had everything done from a brunette ombré, to the perfect face shape cut, back to my natural blonde roots with bangs. Even when I made a bad choice in color, she has put out extra time to help me get to the color I desire. The best part, I ALWAYS receive compliments on my hair!!! Love the attention! ;)

Perhaps I caught my manicurist/pedicurist on an off day, but, my first thought was ‘eh’. I used a groupon that was $ 48 for a 30 minute shellac mani and an hour long shellac pedi. $ 48 is a decent deal for those two services but it isn’t by any stretch a steal and most certainly not the heavily discounted deal that the groupon represented it as. The mani was all of 20 minutes, tops, and didn’t include any type of hand or arm massage. I was instructed to use a scrub myself at the sink. The pedi was slightly better. My feet were nice and smooth but the foot and leg massage was really just a drive-by. There are strange bubble-type lumps in my manicure where the polish or one of the numerous coats was put on too thick, leaving me with alienesque looking nails. They did have a good selection of CND colors and they will layer colors for unique looks. To give an indication of how quickly my two services were, I was paid and in my car one hour and 5 minutes after I sat down at the manicure station, 25 minutes shy of what I purchased using the groupon and that included me making a pit stop to use their restroom. **editing to 3 stars even though I feel that 2.5 stars would be more appropriate. Despite my two alienesque-looking nails, overall my nails look really good**

I have been going to Lulu’s since 2010 and Annette(the owner) cuts my hair. She is seriously the only lady who I feel comfortable around and can do my hair EXACTLY the way I want it. I am extremely picky with my hair only b/c I have had horribleeee experiences in the past with idiots who can’t do a simple cut. The price is great and she works like a pro and I am in and out. If the place ever closes(knock on wood that it doesnt) I swear I don’t know where I would go to get my hair cut. If you are picky with your hair I would recommend Annette, she is awesome and has great experience and knows what she is doing!!!

I recently decided to treat myself and a friend to Lulu’s when I found a groupon for a shellac mani/pedi. Even though it was a bit of a drive out of the way for many St. Louisans, it is completely worth it! The décor is very eclectic, unique and organized, I really enjoyed the retro feel of everything. Appearances aside, I have to say that the service was really the highlight of my experience! My friend and I had two excellent manicurists who provided us both with wonderful care and conversation. It’s been over a week since I got the shellac on my nails, and they still look terrific! This is definitely a place worth checking out!

I too found Lulu’s through groupon and have been going back ever since. The Shellac mani does take longer then a normal mani, but I love that I can walk out and not have to worry about ruining my nailes. The place has a cool vibe and décor is retro chic… make sure you check out the ladies restroom. My manicurist is Natashia and she does a great job… my nails and cuticles have never looked so good.

I popped in here once on a groupon. I dunno if you someone reads all my reviews, but I buy A LOT of groupons. As Joey Gladstone would say — I need to Cut It Out. Anyway… onto LuLu’s. I had made an appointment for a shellac mani/pedi. It was nervous since I don’t usually do faux nails. But I asked a lot of questions. I didn’t want my pretty real nails to not be pretty anymore. The thing about the shellac is it takes quite a while to go through the process since you have to cure your nails in between each coat. The pedicure was nice. I always base it off if my feet are soft like a babies butt. It took a good 2+ hours to get both the mani and pedi done. But the good news is it lasted well over 2 weeks. They use the CND Shellac and had quite a few color options. The atmosphere is quite unique. I felt a little out of place without a tattoo. I kind of thought of it if Kat Von D had a hair salon this is what it would look like. Kind of a mishmash of quirky girl power signs on the wall. They also had a small resale shop too. Overall cute store. I’ll definitely go back.
