Nirvana

What an awesome place. Very professional and friendly staff, from the girl that took my appointment on the phone, to the stylist, and the owner herself. Can’t imagine getting my hair cut anywhere else.

Checked in here for a pedicure and really this place is a hair salon not a nail salon. They only have one person who does nails and she also cuts hair so you need to have an appointment. She was very nice but of course I was looking for nails so that’s why I rated the way I did.

I m surprised that they don’t have many reviews. But anyways it was my first visit in finding someone/​some place better than franchised places. I really liked the service. Finally I found my place after trying out so many different places as I moved here last year.
Def recommended place specially for guys.

I really enjoyed my experience here. the stylist are very friendly and were easy to talk to and seemed like they always are in good moods so i can’t wait for another visit. I was a walk in and got seen in about 15 min. Well worth the wait as my haircut lasted a while and there was no rush at all. I like to get haircuts when i have plenty of time so i can relax and hopfully get a good haircut and I received the best experience this area has to offer. I will be going back for sure!

This review is for the DUDES, not so much the ladies: I have never received a better haircut. I made an appointment my first time to style my long hair and the second time I walked in (THEY DO TAKE WALK-​INS) to cut it all off and go with something shorter and more modern. I had a different stylist each time, but each time they were not only able, but WILLING to LISTEN to what I wanted and determine exactly what I was going for, telling me the do’s and don’ts. Every opinion they had was spot-​on each time. As happens all too often, I would tell a stylist what I want, letting them that I know that I’m not the most knowledgeable when it comes to hair styles and what not (and I’m definitely not, lol!), and what I end up with is something they want. At Nirvana, this is THANKFULLY NOT THE CASE! They were able to translate what I was telling them into the haircut, giving me the exact styling that was right for my face — even my neck! — while still giving me the style I wanted.
As a 20-​something guy, I will gladly pay $ 23.00 to walk out of a barbershop/​stylist without any lingering anger towards the person who just butchered my hair or ruined my sideburns, especially somewhere that actually cuts hair with scissors, because sometimes it seems as if your barber is playing a game to see how much of your hair they can do with electric clippers.
BOTTOM LINE: From a male perspective, if you’re tired of getting bad haircuts for a few dollars less at Sport Clips or wherever else around here, spend $ 23 and get the haircut you’ve always wanted. A haircut like this would cost at least $ 50 in St Louis.

I have been here for manicures, pedicures, and hair styling when I have been in town visiting my in laws, and have always enjoyed the experience. The prices are reasonable and the staff are very nice.
