I just purchased a Groupon for this location to try out their massage services. I called up to schedule my appt. I spoke with Heather and everything seemed to be fine until I indicated that I would be using a Groupon. At that time she indicated that she would need to make sure that the therapist actually takes Groupons, which is fine. But Heather’s tone did change. Then she informed me that the massage I selected would require an up charge of $ 10. Which again was OK. She told me about their cancelation policy… ok fine. Asked for the Groupon number, so I try to get it on my iPad. It was taking longer than usual. So she asks for my credit card number. I gave her the number to one of mine. She then tells me that my credit card number was invalid. I read it to her again. Still invalid. I ask her if it’s usually this difficult to schedule an appointment. And she responds with«most people give me a valid credit card».(It is a valid card btw, used it 2 other times today!) Basically I felt like I was unwelcome because I purchased a Groupon to try them out. I felt like the were simply preparing for me to not show up at my scheduled time, and they were going to make sure that they got paid. I understand that this does occur, but I have honestly never been asked to provide any of this while booking ANY spa service. I have a bunch of experience with getting my hair done, cuts, colors, massages, facials etc. and have never had to provide a cc to hold my appointment. I guess for me, had I noticed a potential client was getting frustrated with the process I would have just booked the appointment and moved on. But you know, that’s NOTTHEIRPOLICY. So due to their«policy» I will not spend my money there!

A girlfriend of mine was so sweet to purchase a groupon for me for an hour massage. I made my appt. and due to some clients shifting at work I was 20 min. late. Which, no problem I understand the manager explained that I can only get whatever remains from my hour massage. The massage was good but not enough so, I booked an hour and a half massage with their best therapist a few days later. My appt was for 11:30 and my therapist showed up 9 min late with no apology and finished 4 min before my appt. Her massage was excellent but because I was penalized for being late on my first appt then there should’ve been an apology plus some sort of compensation for the 13min of missed service.

I got my wife a massage here and she loved it. Probably because she has never had a massage before lol. It was a well deserved massage for her, she always works hard. The reason I didn’t give this place a five star review is because of dishonesty here. When I first called I was given one price, the next time for the exact same thing I was given a different price. She I explained to her I was given«X» price the girl started stuttering and said let me see… then all of a sudden the price got cheaper for the same thing. My biggest issue was when I was purchasing the Groupon, it says $ 49 instead of $ 92, that makes it a saving of 47% but that’s a lie. I called and the type of massage you get is only $ 65 not $ 92 therefore, the savings is a complete BS lie, it’s a marketing tactic to get people to buy it. Since I had already purchased it I kept it because Groupon wouldn’t refund me. I don’t mind if the savings aren’t 47% but I do mind when they lie to you! that is something I can not stand.

If I could spend all my money on spa treatments, I would do it here. I have seen a lot of the service providers at this Face & Body location. Each one of them has done an amazing job. Massage — Leighanna is just fantastic. She’s a master level massage therapist which means she costs a little more than the lower experience levels but it’s 100% worth it. I like deep massage and have a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders. I’ve seen Leighanna every 4 weeks for years and I wouldn’t have it any other way. She’s friendly, professional, and works out my tension. She listens to any issues I’m having and answers any questions I have. She’s just awesome. Also, she always gives you the full 60 or 90 minutes. They will not short you 5 – 10 minutes for getting dressed/undressed and changing the table sheets. Major bonus! Facials — My last facial was with Kristen and she did a really good job. Like Leighanna, she listened to my concerns and addressed each of them. The facial included a hand and arm massage which was nice. She recommended a few products but it was because I asked for the recommendations. She was not pushy about the products but I felt informed and able to make a selection if I wanted to. The hour was relaxing and my skin felt great for days afterwards. Hair — I’ve tried a couple stylists and I really love Dawn. Not only does she cut my hair how I want it but she’ll make suggestions based on my hair texture and face shape. She also taught me more about my wavy hair than any other stylist. Who knew you aren’t supposed to use terrycloth towels?! Dawn keeps up on her training and recently was in New York to continue to develop. I love having a stylist that knows all the latest styles and techniques. Manicure/Pedicures — I can’t say that I’ve ever had a bad mani/pedi at Face & Body. Ligaya, Illiana, and Angie are all very friendly, very professional, and do a fantastic job.

This is one of my favorite places to go for a massage! When I come to Missouri to visit family, I always make an appointment for a swedish massage. I am never disappointed. When I first started coming here, I had waxing done with Kristina. I try and get massages every 3 months here. Now I see Leighanna for my massages and she is great! I also see M.C. Ames, who does my waxing.
