When I came for my first appointment the manager Shauna took the time to give me a tour and explain all the options available, she was very helpful and pleasant. I came only for the sauna but discovered they have many other services that interested me. I just enrolled in a membership which allows you to use everything they have as often as you like! Some of the services they recommend you use products, which can add up quick, however I did not feel pressured to make a purchase. The faculty is extremely clean. They have saunas that make you sweat buckets so I expected there may be a little odor, nope, super clean!

What a JOKE of a business! I was one of several«suckers» who have bought a Groupon for Planet Beach. They want to up-sell products, require ridiculous amount if consultation for a fricking spray tan. Avoid this business…

I came to planet beach due to getting a groupon, but if I would have known how bad the customer service & workers were I would have definitely NOT gotten the groupon! First time I came, they said it could not be for services since I had to speak to a consultant first. Understandable so I went with it. I set up my appointments that day for the next time. I arrived next time & they tell me I’m not in the system so I would have to reschedule again! I live about 30 mins away so there’s a waste of my time! I plan another time & plan on doing a couple of services that night to make up the missed one & to just use up the services. Once I’m in the back to the go to a room, I notice all the rooms are empty as in not in use but there is a whole 25 – 30 min wait up in front! This girl says that it will be a few more minutes and they took me in this dingy looking room in the back. I don’t understand why I have to wait since it is clear that no one is using the room I am suppose to be in & a few employees are just standing around not doing anything. Once I finally get into the room, the lady doesn’t explain how anything works and just says there you go have a good time. I had to go to the front to get help since I have no idea how to turn the machine on or how it even works. When I finish, I go in front & they didn’t even know I was there. When I tell her I’m ready for my next service they said that they didn’t know I was doing another one. I told them I had 2 services for that day. I told them which one & they said that they had another person booked for that but that I could try another one. So since I was already there, I decided to just do another service even though it was not one I wanted. The next time I went(keep in mind I keep going back because I have a groupon of X amount of services.) I scheduled for my boyfriend to come with me so I could finally use up my last services. I had called beforehand, the manager said it was fine & we scheduled the both of us. When arrived, the lady said that she didn’t know he was coming & that even though he had free services, they wanted to charge him. They also said we were late when we had gotten there at my appointment time. The lady in front said it in a snobby way that I should keep my appointments straight. When she then told me what my services were, they were 2 completely different ones I had an appointment for. I told her that maybe she had the wrong person & she said no and that those were the only ones available. I did those because I was just not in the mood to deal with them. Once I did the services, they didn’t explain anything well & just assumed I knew how to use the machines. At the end of that visit I feel like I should not even go back but I have 3 more services left & I don’t want to lose my money! Oh! And even though you think things are paid for, they charge you extra in order to use the machines! Just a waste of time and money!

STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE. I went for one month and realized that by spa services they ment big uncomfortable machines, that do nothing to revive me. But I signed a contract, which does entitle me to freeze it when I’m not using it. I froze my account,(and was only supposed to get charged 5 dollars a month.) They for one reason or another tried to draft the 5 dollars and it did not go through. I DIDNOT receive not one phone call about the event, so I had no idea. That was in MARCH. It is now august, and I got a call from a BILLCOLLECTOR saying I owe planet beach 600 dollars and if I don’t pay they will report to my credit!!! I was sure they had the person, so I attempted to callt he salon. The person who answered gave me to the manager, WYATT, and he in his very non chalant way confirmed that I owe them 600 dollars, and that when they tried to draft the first 5 dollars for my freeze it didn’t go through, and(apparently the contract says) they switch it over to the regular and tried to collect the 69 dollar charge for my montly account. Everytime they charged my account it didn’t go through, I received no call about this!!! For every draft returned they charged me an extra 50 dollars! So this whole time they kept charging, not once letting me know about the delinquent account, until now after they’ve sent it to collections!!! Come to find out they had the wrong account information, and this could have all been resolved at the beginning! But they wanted there money and they waited for this huge amount to pile up and then they smacked me in the face with it. These are not honest people to deal with. PERIOD.(they said they called me in March two times… though it is now august and I have just now heard about this account, they could have attempted again in between that 5 month span, but I did check my phone records, and I have no calls from this salon is MARCH) They are greedy, and their product is ridculous. NOT A SPA, Good for tanning but thats it!!! These people SUCK.
