Clancy’s Pizza Pub

Decent. I love the pizza. I always get a sausage and the spicy sauce! I love how you get different types of sauce. Anyways the problem is they are rude and don’t like to even visit you. Once went with my boyfriend took us 30 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink! Then another 30 for it to come out. It took us about 2 hours there just for the food and stuff. When i asked if they have Mountain Dew they were rude and she said does it look like we have any? I’ve only tried the pizza and it’s really good. The service not so much. Another complaint is half is a bar and half a dining room. People bring their kids and don’t need to hear or see these outrageous drinks on the other side! They never keep them in control. There should at least be a divider because this is an all out bar on that side.

A surprising gem. A hole in the wall to be sure, located in a strip mall. But despite the modest appearances, the food was great, prices good. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Don’t come for lunch– mediocre food that takes a very long time to prepare. Close to 2 hours for a few sandwiches!!! Would get 1 star if not for the friendly waitstaff.

Try their eggrolls! Live music is great! Slow service but who cares everything is great!

I’ve been here more than 10 times. I’ve seen this place grow. I have enjoyed the live Irish music and I think the majority of their food is very good.
Sadly, the bad visits have outweighed the good ones and have resulted in my no longer wanting to come here. The grossest instance was seeing a man at the bar WITHOUT SHOES get served MORE THAN one drink. He appeared to know the bartender. They talked and laughed all while he was barefoot. I’ve never seen that allowed in my life. I’ve also had bad experiences with the state of the ladies room. I will spare you and not go into details. They definitely need to pay more attention to their restrooms.
The biggest negative in my opinion is the attitude of a great number of the bartenders and servers. I’m not sure if they lack experience or simply just don’t care. On more than one occasion, I’ve seen bartenders make themselves drinks and do shots with patrons. This is a huge no-​no and reflects poorly on the management. If behavior like this is accepted, what else are they tolerating? I no longer care to know. It’s a shame. This could be a great place.

Amazing! Atmosphere is great, food prices are reasonable, and workers are friendly. I had Irish nacho with the Ruben sandwich. Best Ruben I’ve had in awhile and the chips they use for the nachos are homemade and they’re delicious.

Great place to eat high quality pizza in the town. Their pizzas are always freshly made so it tastes really good. Price is fair and services are fast. Highly recommended!

Stopped in to use an expiring Groupon and I’m really glad that I did. The appetizers pot roast rolls and Ruben rolls were excellent and the pizza is very good as well. I will be back to try something other than sausage pizza but I will have to order the post roast rolls again!
Service was a little slow it was early and the only person working the restaurant seating area was also tending bar. She was very pleasant fun and it was totally understandable. The food came hot and the beer was cold. No complaints.

Who in their right mind gets pizza here when Vito & Nicks, Palermo’s, Fox’s, Barracos, and lou Malnati’s are right around the corner. Honestly tho, it’s not that bad, but pretty boring. Not a lively place for the average diner. Better places nearby.

I had never seen or even heard of this place until I bought my groupon a few weeks ago even though I must have driven by it a thousand times. We decided to try them out last night and ordered pizza with a side of pot roast egg rolls. I had a feeling they were busy because the guy taking our order over the phone was really, really, really confused. When we got there our food wasn’t ready and ended up having to wait an additional 20 minutes for it to come out. Normally I wouldn’t really care but it was so crowded and there was no where to stand so we were just kind of stuck in the middle of the restaurant in everyone’s way. Anyways, I thought the pizza was pretty good and my boyfriend really liked the pot roast egg rolls. I might think about getting a second groupon.

Let me start off by saying we have been here 5 or 6 times and we have had a great experience each time. The food, drinks, and service have always been great.
We just left after being completely ignored for 10 minutes. A waitress (not sure if she was ours or not), never even acknowledged us. Now, let me preface this by we are extremely low maintenance. We understand when waitstaff are busy. We are patient and typically 30 — 40 percent tippers as we have both served before.
However, this girl didn’t even acknowledge us with anything? I mean anything? «I will be another 10 minutes», «You need to wait», «I’m slammed» «Go get your own beer» ANYTHING. We appreciate sassy people! :-) she walked by 5 times… yes, 5 times and nothing.
I’m super disappointed because I really liked this place. I am not one to say one bad apple spoils the bunch, but the kicker is the owner or manager is literally speaking to a table 5ft away that «he will bartend, wait, bus if necessary». Um what?
I don’t know if we will be back. Always acknowledge people… even if it is to tell them you will be another 15 minutes; Communication is key.

What a great little gem. It’s in a strip mall but the inside is quaint and cute. Very affordable specials every night and the staff is extremely friendly. Loved the pot roast egg rolls. I’ll be returning for sure.

I will start by saying the low rating has absolutely nothing to do with their food and everything to do with their delivery service on GrubHub. For the THIRD time after having to call to check on my order because it was already 1 ½ waiting time, I was once again told that «GrubHub system is messing up» and they are just now seeing my order. And, I was once again told that they would get my order in and «rush it out to me» in about an hour. This time I declined and hung up.
So, while the food is great, that really doesn’t matter if they can never get it to you. I also don’t appreciate the made up «GrubHub did it» excuse. If the servers and restaurant staff are too busy to properly process their ToGo orders, perhaps they should remove themselves from GrubHub. Truly a disappointment.

Stopped in for late snack after arriving from Orlando. Nice little Irish pub with Gaelic music playing. Waitress was very friendly and explained that what was listed on the menu as taco fries was actually french fries, corned beef, jalapeños, black olives, melted cheese. Sounded strange but my son and I ordered it and it was daringly different, and quite good. Price for dish, two blue moon beers was $ 16, reasonable price for what we got.

Great food and even better atmosphere. With the Live Irish music and jovial atmosphere it is easy to forget you’re not at a family party. They recently expanded and the food is better than ever. Plus the service is speedy. I don’t think I’ve ever visited without the owner personally stopping by the table and saying hello!

A friend and I stopped in to try this place out since we were in the area and heard great things. The place is small but has adequate seating and the female bartenders and servers are easy on the eyes. My friend ordered a Italian grinder and their corned beef artichoke dip which he enjoyed. I got the South Sider pizza which was absolutely amazing. It’s there version of a Italian Beef pizza but they use pot roast instead of Italian Beef. The only other pizza that can match this is Vito and Nicks Italian Beef Pizza. I know I will be back for sure.

I ordered pick up from here the other day, i got the bangers and mash with guinness sauce, it was really good, with a good portion size, while waiting i had a beer at the bar, some good craft beers on tap, and only $ 5, or less so that was a good deal, they had live music too, id definitely go back and dine in

I’ve only had their pizza but boy is it good. All fresh ingredients and not very greasy, just a wonderful pizza. Place looks very cozy inside.

Great Pizza. Awesome fish and chips. Great drink deals. Owner is very friendly. The bartenders are nice. Nice people. Nice to hear irish music live on friday and Saturday nights.

I LOVE Clancy’s. I have only ordered delivery from here [never dined in, but have seen it, and it is cozy]. I guess that says a lot that I am giving it five stars just for delivery. That is because I love the food, and when I order, I always get a family feeling — very courteous and the delivery is quick. Unlike other delivery places, I have to repeat my phone number and address [I guess they do not keep it in the system], but that is no reason to deprive them of a star. That is not a big deal.
I have ordered Irish Spring Rolls [corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss] — delicious, hearty, appetizer; the corned beef & cabbage dinner [carrots and potatoes] — with horseradish & mustard [requested]. This is a solid dish. The vegetables are very fresh, and that mustard is divine! The corned beef is lovely, and the portion is good. The Southsider Grinder [pot roast, giardiniera, provolone] was really good. The pizza is very good too, with all of the sauce/​topping options, and the crust is very well done.
I prefer to order the dinners, especially when I want a good home cooked meal, but I did like their pizza, especially as I am ordering from an Irish Pub.
I tell everyone who lives in Oak Lawn about Clancy’s, especially since you can order such good meals for delivery. I will be stopping in one day for a Guiness with my meal and to give them a little praise in person.
