My partner and I stopped in with friends for drinks and appetizers last night. My partner wanted a flavored margarita which wasnt on the drink menu. Ryan, our bartender for the night whipped up a killer raspberry margarita that was out of this world. Ryan took care of us throughout the evening. Our friends had several appetizers (Thai Calamari and Sushi) and they raved about them!

I have only been here twice but the food is definitely delicious! My boyfriend actually works here a couple of days. Went with my two coworkers and it was such an excellent experience! The music they play is great variety. Servers are very attentative and sweet. Would like to go again soon! Awesome place! Of course my hunny cooked my food. Delicious as always! Never expect less!

I’ve been to the View a number of times, and overall I enjoy it. It’s a really «view» on the water, and the food and service has always been good. I tend to get the lobster pasta, an the butter they give you with the bread is amazing. I have to force myself to stop eating it in order to have room for my dinner!

What a great restaurant! Delicious food and nice atmosphere. I head the pan seared scallops over lobster rizotto and my husband has the lobster pasta both were excellent. Perfectly flavored, no salt needed. Others has the surf and turf and the lobster muscle dish which were equally amazing. Kudo’s to the chef! Service was also superb.

Loved this restaurant. Great view. Fantastic staff and excellent dining experience. The mussels were great, the chocolate mousse delicious and every meal was perfect. Great restaurant.

We went during Restaurant Week. My wife and I had the Peking Duck appetizer which was excellent. I had the Seafood Cioppino as my main course which was to die for. All fresh seafood in a outrageous sauce. My wife had the Pan Seared Shrimp which was wonderful. Our desserts were also excellent. Our server was also on top of everything. What a fabulous evening. We will be back tomorrow.

The bar is dirty and sticky. They don’t clean anything. The food is barely acceptable. It’s catering hall food. I don’t want to be served by a 60 year old women at a bar. This isn’t Eleanor’s piano lounge 55 and over I think you need to reevaluate your bar staff. The giant shark looming over my head in the bar is just a place for the dust to hang out before it drops into your soup. The owners have this place on auto pilot give me the money I don’t give a shit mode. When it’s sold and bulldozed with new owners I’ll be back until then I’ll pass.

Made reservations for a anniversary dinner and after reading some of the poor reviews here had some doubts. However, in spite of the fact that it was a Friday night reservation on Labor Day weekend, the View met AND exceeded my expectations. All of the food we experienced was delicious, served very well with only minimal waiting time. I had the seared scallops on a bed of truffled lobster risotto. The risotto was cooked perfectly as were the scallops which are tricky to do properly. My wife has the lobster pasta dish which was also exceptional and the duck taco appetizer was excellent.
I think that the simple size of this restaurant may be working against it. Not sure what the capacity is, but the place seems huge! And the bar scene is really big and jumping as was the outdoor seating area. If the place seats 100 – 150 for dinner, then service is going to be a issue at times. Our waitress Katie was sweet and good on a very busy night. I’m guessing that the waiters and bus people probably number 20 – 30 which is a large operation which will at times result in poor service. And the parking is only by valet due to space restrictions which is a pain for just restaurant dining.
All in all, I’d say visit the View for a great meal, but if you go there on a weekend, service might be a tad slow. but then again, what popular busy restaurant wouldn’t?

Our favorite «date night» spot. The view truly is lovely, with a very classy and elegant room. The food and service is exceptional. This is a great place to go for a romantic night out. Love everything about this place!

Pros: Great food and great atmosphere! Held a baby shower here, everyone liked that they were able to go outside by the water and hang out. It was very scenic. The brunch menu was delicious, everyone raved about it.
Cons: Only valet parking, they packed guests into a room like sardines with no room to walk around, opened up the doors so other patrons could walk through our room into the restaurant, not very professional.

What a wonderful experience we had. Décor is beautiful inside and out. Was a beautiful evening so we enjoyed sitting at lounge tables for a party of 4 overlooking the river. The service was great we had a wonderful, sweet and truly awesome waitress Danielle who helped us order from the menu. Everything she suggested was fantastic. The lobster sushi roll the lady in pink both delicious, seafood tower all good we ordered two of them (seafood really fresh) the steamed buns where incredible, Cesar salad, tuna tartar light and flavorful with a touch of sesame seeds and served with wonton chips for dipping. We even enjoyed a medley of desserts which where all great and hit the spot (churro a, pb&j and the warm chocolate cake). All in all the night was great from food, service and ambiance. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy it again .
A plus is the live music that plays from 7– 12 great smooth sounds and creates for an even better atmosphere.
We did go on a Saturday night and made reservations although outside is a request we did not have any issues with waiting for a table. It’s a be useful scene worth waiting for! Thank you again Danielle! See you all soon!

Great food but the dock masters are jerks. They weren’t there when we pulled in; we tied up our own boat. Kid comes over a few minutes later, charges us for the dock-​space and then waits for a tip (for doing nothing). Little while later the other dock master comes over to let us know that we are cheap. His words… This senior in high school called us cheap. Apparently we didn’t tip the kid that did NOTHING enough money. Thank you to the manager Jim for hearing us out and taking care of us.

Holy cow we’ve spent a lot of money there throughout the last year. The inside is cool looking and my wife really likes the atmosphere, but don’t come here too late on a Friday or Saturday. I was amazed at what I saw when I walked in there on a Friday night at about 10 PM. Jersey shore meets Long Island. The guys in the bathroom were actually talking about their weightlifting schedules. I started laughing. Despite all of that, I still have a good time. It was funny.
Anyway, My sister her husband love happy hour here b/​c it’s $ 5 apps. Definitely a nice place to hang out after work on a nice day. I haven’t had a bad meal here yet.
Parking sucks. Better off parking down the block and walking in. You can get stuck on the valet line for a very long time.

The view from The View is great. The food is good not great. The service tonight was slow. They had a wedding going on and did not have the proper staffing. They should know to plan ahead. Some of our dishes were not prepared properly. Shrimp prepared dry came out and need to go back. One of our party ordered steak rare and it came out super well done. Will probably come back but will call first to make sure no big parties. Mac and cheese and Thai Calamari were very good though.

My boyfriend was disappointed right off the bat with the beer. having worked in the beer industry he was off put by the buttery off flavor in his beer, a symptom of dirty draft lines that produced «diacetyl».
We ordered Thai calamari and pei steamed mussels as our two appetizers. The calamari was delicious but the mussels were old and had that old mussel smell. We were disappointed to only find calamari rings and not a single tentacle.
We ordered sushi which was fine. There was miscommunication between the waitress and my bf, he got an assorted sushi dish and wished to substitute yellowtail for the white tuna. when his dish arrive it was entirely white tuna. It seemed like the waitress wasn’t paying any attention at all to his request.

As many others have said, the view @ the View is nice. The rest is full of disappointments.
Here’s a good tip, buy your drink from the bar. Same price as ordering from a waitress and you get it in a larger cup.
We tried some of their $ 5 apps (which our waitress seemed to avoid telling us about). Calamari was the only decent item of the 4 choices, however they use a little too much sauce, leaving the bottom layer soggy & wet. Sushi was horrible, threw away half of our order. Also tried a tuna/​lobster app that reeked of rotten fish. My buddy saw someone eating a burger and asked our waitress if he could order one. For whatever reason we weren’t given the menu that included burgers or wraps. The burger wasn’t good and the bun was stale.
I can’t see how regulars keep coming to this place for food. They should just turn it into a bar without a kitchen. Food here is a massive fail.
