Shengmao Sakura Glatt Kosher Restaurant

My family came to Chang Mao for dinner with some relatives that were visiting from out of town. Upon arrival, we were seated within ten minutes. The tables were not set and we asked multiple servers three times for silver wear and place settings. The server signed out of annoyance and complied with our request. When she arrived at our table with the place settings, instead of placing them by each patron, she tossed them at us. I am absolutely appalled at this point at the service. Tables should be automatically set for the next round of guests, not to mention it shouldn’t be an extra chore and an inconvenience for the wait staff to provide us with such a standard request as place settings. At this point we were already embarrassed in front of our relatives that we had brought them to a restaurant with such awful service. I couldn’t believe with a restaurant as large and packed as this that they only had two waiters on hand and possibly one chef! They were completely unorganized and unprepared for a Sunday night. To make matters worse, I think every table had a complaint. At this point this restaurant should no longer be in business. It took roughly 2.5 hours for our meal to come from the kitchen. Due to the lack of staff our waitress decided to divide the combination into 3’s. Egg rolls first, soup second and some of us were lucky to get or entrée at all not to mention the food was ice cold! After asking for our food multiple times some of us lost our appetite and cancelled our order. She brought the food that was cancelled, we told her we didn’t want it anymore she angrily dropped it on the table food splattered everywhere. We were terribly hungry and our relatives had a long drive back home. This was our last straw. We complained to management and They did nothing but patronize us. I have never been treated this terribly in a restaurant in all my life. Collectively, we made a decision that we weren’t going to tip our waitress. The bill came and the tip was included! We were absolutely beyond ourselves And WILL NEVER EVER come back to this place again. This restaurant needs to close for business and due to their incompetence needs to be educated on how to treat their customers and run a restaurant.

What a shame I can’t give 0 starts. There was a massive bug in my chicken item. Never again. Stay away!!! you’ve been warned.

Always consistently good. Fair prices and quick service.
Both the Chinese and Sushi is very good.
The places itself is outdated but the quality and price of food is worth going back for.

Great restaurant! You won’t find Glatt Kosher Chinese and sushi this good for miles! I recommend the sesame chicken and chicken lo mein.

I have been here a couple of times. the last time, the place wreaked!
The food was OK and and not bad. but that smell will get you. The service was OK.
Service did feel a bit rushed, but not that bad.
I would order takeout next time to better evaluate the food itself.

Great Chinese food. Great sesame chicken, kung pao chicken. fried wontons were likely overcooked and barely edible.
