CLOSED! Was interested to see the original location had reopened but gated shut and once again they direct you to the newer 1909-A International spot

I used to go here with my mom years ago — the old location was a couple blocks down in a much smaller place and now they’ve moved to this location which is SOMUCHBIGGER. Parking sucks because there are other businesses on the block and it’s a pretty busy street. Be careful of the bus stop in front of the store — you will get ticketed if you stop for just a second! They have pre-packaged meals that are freshly made everyday and pretty good! We came here a couple of times before going fishing to get some food for the trip. YUM!

Grew up eating Ba Le sandwiches. A lot of different sandwiches you could choose from. If you don’t like sandwiches try ordering their Bun Chun or Vermicelli(get it fresh, not from the counter). It’s affordable and satisfying. Not much of a wait, usually I do not have any issues with parking.

This is where i go for some good banh mi. BANHMIXIUMAI, is all you need to know and all you need to get. and $ 2.35 at that! my golly, how i love the french butter/mayo oozing out of the sandwich Been going here for years and so glad they reopened. When i found out they were closed for a short while, i was in panic! where to find banh mi xiu mai as good as this? i was so obsess with this place that i even drove by it even knowing it was closed, in hopes that it will magically reopen for a day, for that moment. I guess it all paid off because they did reopen however… my freaking magic worked! =P Lately, i’ve been here every week now.

Great, cheap, tasty Banh mis to be had here. We tried #4 Pork Cake, #7BBQ Pork, and #8 Roasted Pork. #7 and #8 were the best while #4 was good, but paled in comparison. Crunchy baguette and just the right amount of pickled veggies, cilantro, cucumber, and jalapenos. Three sandwiches for $ 7.35. What an amazing deal!

fresh warm toasted bread, crisp cucumber, carrots, jalapeño. I just wish I can pay another buck or two to get proper grilled pork on the sandwich instead of slices of formed pork like product. Opens at 8:30am! 6748.3

this familiar oaktown bahn mi store has reopened with some new menu items: noodles & rice plates, some appetizers, and a large assortment of mixed fruit drinks. my familiar banh mi xiu mai(meatball sandwich2.25) was the same: — GREAT! –the meatball(without red dye) was smashed and spread amongst the bun. carrots, cilantro, radish, and other veggies was layered on top. the whole sandwich is then toasted. didn’t notice the msg. they have the usual vietnamese snack foods also. of course, it’s all double parking here but there’s little risk of a $ 250 fine for parking in the bus stop. hours: ?-6:30 p.m. assume cash only.
