Berkeley Korean United Methodist Church

BKUMC is a very special place. I have been a part of this church throughout my undergrad years and my faith has grown daily while attending this church.
Pastor Kwon is truly amazing and his love for people is second to Jesus. His Sunday sermons are powerful and witty (I personally like his Friday night sermons better). The praise team is awesome and they are not professionals or anything but they praise gracefully.
A great attraction for college students is their food. Lunner is provided after service and they usually cook a Korean meal, which tends to be better than most Korean dishes around campus.
What I also love about this church are the people. They are genuine and try to share God’s love with everyone either inside or outside the church. When I first came here, it was predominantly Cal students, but now there are students from CCA and other campuses as well as young adults.
As you can see by the name, it is a Korean church and the main service for college-​young adults is held in Korean at 1pm. They also have an English service at 11:30am with a smaller gathering. All in all, BKUMC is a great church and I have witnessed God’s presence and his guidance in the growth of this church.
