I’m in the band. I’m sorry Maureen received a nasty email. I’m sorry she decided to create a nasty Unilocal page for us in retaliation. I’m glad she enjoyed the music. C’est la vie.

I dropped into Roux one evening, and I enjoyed the New Orleans style music of Bug Horn Rex. I did however feel that the band was too loud for the restaurant space. I mentioned this in my review, and immediately received a very nasty email from someone that was obviously connected with the band:
This person claimed to be a friend of the band and accused me of trying to extort free food from the restaurant Roux. They threatened to sue me for including a photo of the band in my Unilocal review, and of being a «shake-​down artist». I’ll never ever go to see this band again, as I have no need to be harassed.
Overall, the band was pretty good. The jerk (most likely a band manager) is some idiot making a mess of their reputation.
Goal accomplished! I’ll be dropping a note to Roux as well so they know that their entertainment comes with a nasty after bite. I wonder if they paid extra for that?
