If your on a budget and want to be satisfy for the whole day, this is the place. This place has a whole row of sushi(boiled crabs during dinner time) and mostly serves Chinese/Asian foods. Sometimes the food can be salty and oily, other times it can actually taste good. I suggest you to go when it lunch or dinner time where the foods are heated and hopefully freshly-made. The place is pretty big; big enough to walk around the food area without moving out of the way when another person is coming in. I went during lunch hour, wasn’t crowded, but where we sat was a bit sticky and dirty. Parking space, they have their own in the back side on the building but limited. P.S: I suggest you order some soda drinks or if your just going to drink water, add lemon to disinfect the smell and the taste.

I thought the food was good. So far the only buffet I like in the eastbay. My son though, seems like he had a stomache ache or something right after he ate :(and he only had fried rice…

Now called NYC Buffet this run of the mill Pan-Asian buffet is not lacking in the Seafood department. Lunch is $ 10.50 total with taxes. It is a hellavah deal. I have been here 4 of the last 5 days.

Manager name jack helped us with our to go. He over charged us instead of the price that is set on the menu. .I told him I go there everyday and i never get charged for that much. He said«I use my conscience to charge,».enough said. Dude is a moron.

I’d been wanting to go here for a few years and finally took the plunge. I wish I hadn’t. Walking through the buffet area, you got constant whiffs of rotten food. Of the 4 dishes I dared to try, 3 were cold. The floor was sticky, most of the glass had heavy streaks as if it were all wiped by the same grimy washcloth, and I could smell dried urine from 15 feet outside the Men’s room(which happened to be where my table sat). I will never eat here again and I encourage you to follow suit.

I think this place is the cheapest in the bay area for weekday lunch buffet. But that’s about all it has going for it. The sushi rice tasted like it was cooked with dirty water ewww. Also all the rolls were identical(fake crab and avocado or cream chesse), except they mix it up by giving one with salmon on top, one with seaweed and one with tuna on top.

Ewww. That sums it up. Every segment of human trash eats here. Kids screaming and yelling out of control with no parental restraint… they ignore it and instead focus on their mega i-phones. Toothless patrons littered throughout. Food looks good and restaurant looks clean and organized but food is flavorless with super cheap ingredients. It’s an illusion. Beware.

This is not like your average chinese buffet, the food here is absolutely terrible even though the price is $ 17 per person. Some of the dishes might be acceptable but only quite a few like 2 – 3. I feel like I might get a stomach ache here, will update if I do.

I give them 2 stars because I felt they lied to me. A friend told me to come on Sunday to spend $ 20 a person because there is crab and lobster on Sunday. So I came and lo and behold I saw a tray of lobster and crab. Then my friend and I came again next Sunday and the lobster meat is gone and only crab is left. Then next Sunday I came and no crab and lobster at all. We spoke to the Chinese waitor and he said we came too early. They don’t serve crab or lobster anymore at lunch time. They might serve it after 3 pm. Then why did they charge us $ 20 for lunch? I came for crab and lobster. After that gig we never came on Sundays.

$ 11/person during lunch for quite a decent selection! Salad bar, dessert bar, sushi bar, and several counters of hot food(including soups, stir fried dishes, baked/fried fish, clams, pizza, egg rolls, etc). Very well-staffed, and fresh hot replacements were brought out frequently. Dirty finished plates were also cleared from our table at appropriate intervals so we didn’t have to face our crimes for too long. Yes the veggies were glistening with oil, the soups were starchy, and the sushi may be a bit too mysterious, but just come hungry and with people who don’t need to be impressed. The place will do just fine.

I remembered this place from a few years ago and the food was pretty good. BOYHASTHISPLACECHANGED. I WASEMBARRASSEDINFRONTOFMYFRIENDS. I don’t think that they have cleaned the carpet since then. It was absolutely filthy. The place also has a nasty smell, the bathrooms were horrible. We arrived at 4pm on a weekday and was promptly seated at a dirty table. I immediately rose and told my friends that we couldn’t eat in this filthy place and that I was sorry for bringing them here.

Above average place with good value and a wide selection of foods. Their service is pretty good and everything was flavorful. I would recommend this place to others.

Century buffet is normal standard meh– Chinese fare. It’s like going to a cheap chinese take-out place but you get to sit down and have a larger selection. I actually think it went up in price recently, which really makes it a bad buy but it’s probably to accommodate the rising cost of food. They do have a parking lot in the back and get relatively busy during some peak eating hours. I think it’s a nice place to go for a cheap lunch buffet but don’t expect any top-notch food or to be blown away by anything. The place is here for a quick lunch fix with a variety of food not to impress your date!

I hate this place. It’s filthy and disgusting. I can’t even put my elbows on the table. I noticed around the restaurant was a ton of food. I assumed from the buffet. This food was nasty, like it came out of the dumpster. Speaking of the dumpster, it’s really visible and unattractive… and right next to the parking lot. Usually restaurants would hide the dumpster but there it was. I’m pretty sure I saw a dead rat near it. The parking lot is also dirty. Literally everywhere I stepped I had to look down to see if I was stepping on crap. When we were seated, we noticed the crap on the chair so we asked one of the waiters to clean it up. He asked someone else to do it. Another waiter wiped it and left. But he left the chair wet. So we just had to go grab another one. Being a clean freak I didn’t want to look down. because when I did there was food, utensils, napkins, and what not all over the floor. I also noticed that they take a while to clean the tables. This other family had a problem with a table they were seated with; it was dirty. They couldn’t move because all the other tables weren’t cleaned yet. And this one was somewhat clean. They waited patiently until a waiter passed by so they could ask him to clean it. He wiped it, like how the waiter who wiped our chair, but he didn’t dry it, so they dried the table themselves with napkins. I guess the only good thing about this buffet is that there’s a varied amount of selections of food. And it tastes. better than average(just a bit) This place is so dirty though, I was cautious when eating because I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a bug cooked in the food or something.

This review is actually a 3.5 star review as I see this place as one of the better buffets in the bay area. The only reason it gets averaged down is I am averaging my several experiences here. You either come in at a good time or a bad time and I would recommend coming around 5p-6p for a good lunch here while around 11a-noon for a good lunch. The reason you come at those times as that seems to be when i’ve seen them stock their food well(I’ve been here with family about 4 time for asian family dinners/chinese new year). There Sushi is actually pretty good quality for a buffet, and you don’t get that nasty«I’ve been sitting here all day and might be cultivating bacteria» feeling that you get from eating raw fish from a chinese buffet. The two reasons I would recommend this place overall is their good seafood selection, and their Grill(if you come at a time where they are actually running the thing) Overall, this is a good place(but please note, you might come in at a 4 star time, and you might at a 2 star time)

Whoever expects 5-star food at a $ 10AYCE buffet? I don’t. I come here very rarely — mostly when I am super hungry and don’t care. I am not big on buffets, because I can’t really eat that much in one sitting, but this one is OK-ish. The food is a mixture of Chinese and Mexican dishes, soups, fruit, seafood and the typical appetizers, pizza, sushi and Mongolian BBQ. And a lot of desserts, salads If you pick wisely and don’t fill up on the carbs so much, you can have a surprisingly pleasant lunch. I like the elote, ginger beef, dim sum and sushi collection and the veggies, which are still crunchy when you don’t come too late. What I would never eat here: ice cream(salmonella galore!), cakes and the fish dishes au gratin(seafood and cheese is a very unfortunate combo in my book). What I really like here is the mix of clientele. Hookers and vendors from International, families, old folks, Basket– and Football player-sized youth with huge appetites. And yes, the occasional fat guy in the corner with three overloaded plates in front of him. What else? Oh yes… don’t look down, the floor is disgusting! The service is pretty bad, too, but you don’t need the servers apart from being seated, getting your drinks and your check. They are Chinese-friendly, which means: they don’t smile and look at you with disdain when you ask something. (This is what I wanted to write, just when a cockroach paraded over my table while I was putting the last piece of apple pie into my mouth. I can take a lot… but cockroaches are a no-go!!! Sorry, would have been a solid two star review otherwise…)

*This place drops to 1.5– 2 stars at night time* Decent buffet for the price, but definitely go during lunch or at least not too close to closing time… All the times I’ve eaten there I noticed a distinct drop in food quality towards the later business hours… For some reason everything seems grosser all around lol. Definitely not worth going there at that time and having to pay more for the dinner buffet too. in general the service is usually good, the people friendly, the food surprisingly good if you go at the aforementioned times, and the atmosphere also surprisingly nice. Make a long story short, I’d only go back or recommend people go around lunch time otherwise there are better Chinese buffet options elsewhere.

Had a lunch date with the sis before she left(this was last month some time, late review). Anyway it was decent. Place is clean. On the napkin dispenser it says they charge you for food you don’t eat… somehow we escaped that phenomenon. Lol. Yay. Good food overall… I’ve gone twice. Both times were decent.
