Carne asada is pretty flavorful and I also like their al pastor. This place is open pretty late, I go here when I don’t have time to cook dinner. Sometimes one of the guys can be a bit rude.

I do construction in San Francisco and my coworker grew up in Oakland so he suggested Zamorano. this review comes from a Mexican American who knows good authentic Mexican food when he has it. Holy sh*t balls, best damn Mexican food I’ve had in quite some time. I had a super burrito which is actually priced at $ 10 now rather than $ 8 like older reviews have reported. the burrito is about a foot long and they nailed it! I slammed the foot long because I was starving after a long workday as well as some tacos, they were great as well. This taco truck accepts debit/credit cards which was great for a dollar fee. Staff is extremely friendly. Try their salss they have in a bottle by the pickup window. Bottom line is they have my buisness. Updated review will be on their steak fries or a torta

If you like burritos that are the size and length of your forearms for 8.00. or you want some bomb horchata before taking public transportation(aka the 1 or R1) this place is for you. The food is great and the service is quick.

After picking up my Fiancé’s grill(gold teeth) we were pretty hungry and decided to try this spot out. the prices are pretty good. I ordered 2 enchiladas with rice and beans for less than $ 5.(with options of any meat, i. e: 1 steak, 1 chicken) it looked very delicious but i don’t know the steak didn’t taste as good as it looked. nor did the chicken. I was starving too, i guess not everything taste good when your hungry. my fiancé ordered steak & tripe tacos(yes tripe tacos are his favorite). The steak was okay, he barely touched his tripe tacos… he said it was nasty(as in not cooked all the way like most places), he couldn’t take another bite. first and last.

There are times that Super Serg will go into the Jungle and the Ghetto to get a good meal. In this case I went to Taco Zamorano. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed it. ] I made sure I tood my bullet proof vest and survival gear with food to last me a few days in case my car get’s Jacked… You know what I mean HAHA I had ordered 3 tacos of spicy pork(al pastor) and a large burrito of carne asada. I can say that i was very surprised by the out come. The carne asada had a great taste to them and the spicy pork well wasn’t to spicy and the taste buds weren’t to to there to meet my satisfaction but with the side hot sauce they make made it a pretty damm good meal. If you are ever in the area go during the day it might be safer. Unless you are street smart and can do two things at once… Eat and look over your shoulder

This place was bomb for getting burritos even tacos though. We use to come here alot when I was younger even into my teenage years cutting school lol going for a bomb burrito. But on day this place just broke my heart… as I ordered my food me and a friend were standing around waiting for our food and out from underneath the truck 2 Freakin MICE come running out… EeeWwWWW Ohh Emm GEee! My friend and I hoped on the table they had and were freaking out lol… The guy asked us what was going on and we told him we just seen 2MICE run out from underneath the truck and we asked for our money back! Ewww after that I have never returned. The food im sure is still delish but just by seeing that I cannot return. SORRY!

The BEST, and BIGGEST burrito from an Oakland taco truck. For $ 8, you get a giant monstrosity of a burrito. This behemoth is wrapped in TWO super burrito tortillas, so it looks something along the lines of a child’s arm(in terms of size) — and worst of all, it tastes good ALLTHEWAY so you’re inclined to eat the whole damn thing in one sitting. Doesn’t mean you won’t throw up, though. Excellent mutated burritos.

What do you get when you cross serious amounts of fried pork, flower salesmen, day laborers, street hookers and a big silver taco truck? You get Heaven on Earth my friend… Heaven on Earth. The only truck that might rate higher than the legendary taco truck is the van from the A-Team. If I had my own taco truck I would totally put a whale’s tail on it, paint it black, slap on some red rims and put a sweet red racing stripe down it’s side. I’ve waxed poetic about the allure of the taco truck in the past , but nothing, I repeat, NO-THING can hold a candle to the incredible taste sensations that pour forth from the confines of the El Taco Zamorano taco truck on International Blvd. and 48th in East Oakland. Astrid and I stopped by after dropping off the freshly-emptied U-Haul truck nearby. By the time we finished with the move, we were hungry enough to eat a pound of Mr. T’s gold chains. Luckily, El Taco Zamorano was just down the street. We pulled into the parking lot and was immediately accosted by a guy selling roses, four day-laborers looking for work and some homeless guy. The police were arresting street hookers right across the way from us. I smiled to myself and felt strangely at ease. We walked right up to the window and ordered three tacos for $ 1.25 each: a carnitas tacos served with cilantro and onion, a carne asada taco and an el pastor taco. Astrid got the carnitas burrito which was about the size of B.A. Baracus’ biceps, full of freshly fried carnitas, sour cream, beans and cheese. The food was fantastic! Totally fresh and tasty and even better than some of the tacos I got in San Diego. The carnitas was flavorful, tender and crunchy. It was by far the freshest and best carnitas I have EVER had. There’s nothing better than good fried pork! So next time you’re cruising for day laborers or hookers(night laborers) in the area, stop on by and grab yourself some seriously good grub. I PITYTHEFOOL that doesn’t.

El Taco Zamorano, AKA«48th» or «Four Eight» by friends and peers alike, is absolutely the best place in the Comida Corridor. Open, usually, til about 12ish on weekdays and as late as 2am on weekends, this place is the best for your daytime or late night cravings for good burritos and other more authentic foods. The best bang for your buck is a the Super Burrito. For $ 7, $ 8.50 with cheese and sour cream, you get a burrito the length of an average persons forearm, filled with beans rice and your choice of meat, and garnished with onions and cilantro. Now, since we’re on the subject of meat, let me dive into this. The asada is awesome, sometimes on the tough side, but always tasty. The pastor is so flavorful, and even the lengua tastes pretty awesome, and thats coming from a white boy. By far, this truck’s speciality is their carnitas. I solely will drive to Oakland just to get a super carnitas from this truck. For the price of the burrito and a sangria, $ 10, and the friendly service, this is a must stop burrito shop. Don’t forget to ask for the«rojo» and your radishes too!

We went looking for Gordo, but they weren’t there(!!!) today, so we drove a few more blocks to Zamorano. Delicious! My carne asada burrito was gigante, and the salsa verde was hot, piquant and fresh. The meat was a little tough but perfect otherwise. A little cheese, no sour cream or guac, just meat, a few beans, cheese and a tortilla, topped with the verde. Divine. I’ll definitely be back. I love eating my way up and down International Boulevard. And no, I don’t mean the hookers.

So me and my cousin first found this place over 6 years ago when we were working wiring ships for my Uncle’s company. Highway 880 divides high street between Alameda and Oakland and since we were tired of eating food on the ship we drove down high st. and found this place. For one the food is cheap and the portions are fairly sized. The food is super tasty and on some days you can get beef brains if that is your thing. This is authentic down in the hood Mexican food. Day or night we have went here. I used to work swings and at least once a week we came here and ordered food for entire team. They have a super burrito we termed«the donkey» which is so large it hangs out the bag. They use 2 large tortillas just make this monster of a burrito. Everything from the burritos to the nachos and everything else in between is good. The shrimp burrito uses over a pound of shrimp! Since we waited for our food they would give us free chips to eat and we just chilled and had a few drinks. This place is full of locals and if you are scared of dark places don’t come here at night. We even came with the Raiders lost the Superbowl and people were destroying cars. The food is just that damn good!

At $ 7, the Super Burrito here was enough to fill me up for three consecutive meals. I really enjoy the carnitas here, both in the burritos and in the tacos.
