This location has a friendly staff but I recommend double-​checking your order to ensure completeness, reiterate your order before pulling to the window, and taste the soda before you drive off to ensure it isn’t flat/​wrong type. Admittedly, this is annoying but as long as you check everything before you drive off, you can’t go wrong. Also, this is in an unfortunate location. The drive-​thru/​parking lot is easily blocked and difficult to navigate even in a compact car. Still, it’s not crowded, typically, so you can often get some quick meals.

If I could keep from giving this KFC location not even one star, I would. But, Unilocal won’t let me.
We live in a time where there is no longer any courtesy, respect and there is a lost of quality service and food. I went to this KFC located at 3734 Macarthur Blvd., in Oakland, CA, today, 08÷07÷15 for a quick lunch. The time was around, 1:15pm. Though it wasn’t my intent to eat here today; it’s only because my 13 year old daughter called me and requested some Bar b que hot wings, and so, I decided to order myself KFC Original HOT WINGS. OMG. If it wasn’t for the fact that I was on my lunch break from work; 1:00pm to 2:00pm. I had only one hour to drop off my daughter, bar b que wings and get back to work by 2:00pm. However, if I could had taken back my ORIGINAL HOT WINGS, AND SLAP, OR TOSS these awful wings in THE FIRED COOK FACE, or whoever was responsible for serving me hot wings that not only were they DRY, DARK IN COLOR, AND SHRIBBLE down like a decompose body, this is what I was feeling, because I was PISSED.
I don’t know what’s wrong with these managers in the fast foods industry today? People need to be re-​trained because at one time, people got what they paid for and this also included food that was good. Unfortunately, this is no longer available when it comes to fast foods. I am done with this KFC location, because this isn’t the first time I had problems with their food tasting old, and not looking like theirs television commercials, or tasting like the quality that they used to be.

Wow I just got a famous chicken bowl and drove home to find it has 4 tiny little pieces of popcorn chicken on top. What a waste of money!

like a lemming, i went in asking for the KFC popcorn nuggets, luckily not the meal.
a big disappointment. maybe mcd’s is better.
eats: Popcorn nuggets (4.49)
–about 30 pieces of various sizes, all containing very little white meat and a lot of batter seasoned with spices and msg.
–not terrible but a waste of calories.
light coating of flour and quick fry would be beat.
*of course, it’s over 75% batter

i just went there and the cashier had a whatever id rather not be there attitude, didnt give me a receipt and didnt give me or ask if i wanted any sauce… Then gave me the saddest pieces of chicken strips ive ever seen in my life…

Ghetto (unprofessional) The security guard stands outside chatting his buddy’s instead of inside making the patrons feel comfortable. The new girl running the register was untrained but very nice. Our order sat and sat while the cashier fumbled taking 4 other orders. Then when we get home the mashed potatoes fill the container only about ¹⁄₃. The gravy filled the container about ½. Ehh whatever right, well the last time we visited this location the bucket of chicken was missing its skin. So I looked up the phone number and called because they didnt give me a receipt, just the credit card slip. The manager Dave, said to come back and he will take care of it. Really? like anyone wants to really come back over some mashed potatoes. Dave said come another time then. I explained one of last times they messed up on the chicken and no one remembered my name so they wouldnt «take care» of it. I am going to cancel the credit card payment if I go in and they dont refund the payment.
The owner should really consider over hauling this location. I wont be going back other then to collect a refund for some stupid mashed potatoes. How petty is this? It makes me feel like a jerk for even putting in the time here on Unilocal explaining the situation let alone going back to collect refund for potatoes!

My family and I thought the service was really rude and management was unprofessional by giving weird looks as we complained. If you dont care for our business, please quit so a better team can run this kfc. I have patron this place for many years but have slowly seen this place fall into shambles in the last few years. I have sent a letter to KFC corporate in Atlanta and hope something is done. I have chosen to patron the one on foothill instead. I do not recommend this KFC receive any more customers until they straighten up their customer service skills.

Took the kids there for dinner, and we were served by the owner/​operator. He was quick, handled my kids random questions and still got our order right. While the Laurel isn’t the nicest neighborhood in Oakland, this is a good spot, and the chicken is always fresh and hot. Also, since he had the authority, he customized our orders and didn’t gouge us on the price.

Fried chicken, corn and biscuits for lunch. Drive thru could be nicer but it’s manageable
