Tracey Wapnick managed my divorce for me. She’s smart, articulate and knows the law very well. She handled the legal documents and proceedings on my behalf and assured that my less than ethical ex didn’t get away with the many sneaky ploys that her attorney tried. She knows the inner working of the legal system very well and also seems to know most of the judges and other attorneys. She would take the time to explain to me the ways in which the letter of the law differs from how it’s generally applied in practice. Her judgment and perspectives were invaluable.
She’s very sharp and her mind goes right to the center of each issue. That clarity of thought comes through in her spoken presentations to the court and in her written documents. Both were always clearly understandable by me; and in hindsight, persuasive to the judge. I’d recommend Tracey to anyone in the unfortunate process of getting divorced. Five stars!

Tracey is proactive, supportive, and strategic. She’s very well known, respected by other lawyers, and she knows the Alameda County Family Court system. I know she’s the «go to» attorney, and that other attorneys consult her for advice. She’s as sharp as a tack, gets all the details right and provides solid counsel.

Tracey picked up my case from a colleague that had to take some time off. I was nervous because one attorney did all the prep work and now another attorney had to present it in court. With Tracey, I had nothing to worry about. She is a Badass!
Tracey and I started together with the second court appearance in an unnecessarily long and ridiculous divorce case. My ex was testifying and Tracey had her legal pad out to take notes. Not really knowing my new attorney, I anxiously craned my neck to see what kinds of notes she wrote. She wrote the first line and I couldn’t make it out. She set her pen down and my ex continued to testify. Still no notes, more testimony, a break, more testimony and still no notes. I was screaming inside! What did I get myself in to?
Time for cross examination… I think I was physically shaking with anger and fear. Tracey stood up and to my amazement went point by point, tearing apart her lying cheating testimony, all by memory. I was seriously amazed. She was wonderful. Accurate, piercing, tearing, shredding… all very politely. She must have gotten an extra allotment of memory brain cells or something!
Well this case went on for at least another 7 – 8 months of total crap. Tracey hung in there for me. She kept me going in the right direction and never lost interest or momentum. She even created some court documents from a hospital room while her child was recovering! She was always and totally there for me. Metaphorically slapping me around when I needed it and giving me kind words when the situation required it.
I would recommend Tracey to anyone that finds themselves in a divorce. She did a wonderful job for me. She knows the law and more importantly, she knows the court.

I cannot speak highly enough about Tracey Wapnick. We live out of state and had an extremely difficult case which was going on for 3 ½ years. We had selected one of the most prestigious firms in Oakland to represent us. We parted ways after paying an exorbitant amount of money and got incredibly lucky when Tracey heard of our drawn out battle and agreed to finish the case. She was amazing!
