Long lines today since its going to be cny next week. But the prices are good compared to the surrounding markets in the area. Produces are fresh, fishes are mediocre.

Long Hing Supermarket sometimes has good deals on their produce. Price fluctuates depending on what’s available. I come here to check on produce I’d be interested in and what deals they offer.

I went into this market because my aunt wanted to buy some tropical fruits. I saw a pile of the yellow Manilla mangoes and they were all bruised and old. Inside, the market was crowded, dirty and smelled awful! I was afraid to touch anything. I’ve been in many Asian markets in the Bay Area and many older markets are in this condition, but I guess many of the old time shoppers don’t mind. Not for me though. Especially when they sell turtles and live frogs. Really? Of all the foods we have in America, do we really need to eat these«delicacies»?

I’ve been going to this supermarket ever since I was young and ever since it was«WINLONGSUPERMARKET»… I’m not sure when they transferred over but today was my first time back… and I AMSODISAPPOINTED! first of all, they moved and reorganized their sections FORTHEWORSE. c’mon now! Who the hell decides to put a cash register in between two frozen food aisles? There customers are mainly middle-aged /old people who probably don’t appreciate waiting in line and freezing their ass off! I’m so sad and disappointed that the place I use to be greeted by friendly nice people are now replaced my angry-looking gorillas! never again.
