1) I wasn’t even actually seen by the doctor although he was standing at the front desk talking to the staff when I left. 2) The nurse who did see me asked me how I could possibly qualify for Medi-Cal. I am sorry are my finances your business? Then all she did was say someone will give me a referral at the front desk and left. 3) They got my name wrong, as in my entire last name was wrong so the referral sent to my specialist had the wrong last name. How is this possible with a copy of my insurance card? 4) I was seen an hour late and there was only one person in the waiting room. 5) None of my medical history, medicines, or allergies were documented in my initial screening by the nurse. 6) That referral I mentioned was supposed to be provided at the front desk wasn’t. Instead they said it would be 3 – 5 days until they got back to me about it. Instead they called over a week later claiming they called before and I didn’t answer but unfortunately it’s 2016 and my cellphone logs missed calls. Never again.

I’ve been going to see Dr. Lovato for over 15 years. We have developed a good relationship. As with any other doctor, you have to tell him all of your symptoms so he can make the best diagnosis. Dr. Lovato listens to what I tell him, does his own exam and then comes up with a plan to treat. For years, my employer paid 100% of my medical insurance cost. This year, that all changed. I am now paying extra to stay with Dr. Lovato, so that should tell you something.
