Maria has been so helpful to my daughter and our entire family. My daughter has suffered for quite some time from anxiety along with Tourette’s. Her anxiety severely limited our activities and caused her a great deal of distress. Since starting with Maria about 9 months ago, her symptoms have all but gone away. She is participating in activities that she would have never considered. She is excited about going places and doing things that would have worried her to a panic attack in the past. Maria has given her concrete activities to work on throughout the week that have allowed the therapy to continue into our daily routine. That has allowed everyone in the family to help our daughter have a fuller life. Maria has been a great fit for all of us. Plus my daughter feels super comfortable with her, and she is not the type to feel comfortable with many people– so that’s saying a lot. So happy we found Maria!

Maria came into my and my wife’s life during a very stressful and difficult time with our foster daughter. Although she came to us via county social services, we truly appreciated she wasn’t focused solely on our foster daughter, rather, she was focused on helping our family as a whole. I also believe Maria’s experience as a foster mom gave her a unique insight into the difficulties we were encountering. I can honestly say that without Maria’s support, I would not have been able to consider fostering another child — but I have and we are! Thank you Maria for your sensible, caring, humorous (when appropriate) and common sense approach to your work. To quote my wonderful wife, «You rock!»
