saw Dr. Ting about a slightly cracked front tooth caused by biting into/​onto a hard piece of bacon.
came here on time. slept an hour waiting for my turn.
Dr. Ting thought my tooth was caused by crab. told him «bacon». he had a disbelieving look.
he just took his drill, smoothed and rounded out my front tooth and i was done.
took out my check to pay at the counter. no charge, the doc told the receptionist.
reasoning: no major surgury was done. thanked Dr. TIng.
definitely will be back.

Inexpensive, quality varies — Dr. Ting is good, the interns (or other dentists) not so much.
I used to go there for tooth cleaning, cavities, and all kinds of stuff. It was inexpensive compared to many other dentists — I didn’t have to pay a cent out of pocket after so many visits.
Dr. Ting’s work was quick, although he didn’t explain what needed to be done and what his recommendations were — just do the work and move onto the next patient. It’s always packed.
The work done by other dentists (I suspect they were interns since they come and go after a couple months) are not too great. I had a couple filling fell off within a year! It was a pain to get them redone. One of the dentists didn’t fill in a hole completely (I think her name was Xia or something like that), I had to go back a second time to get it fixed (second dentist Dr Liu (?) was gentle and patient).
So, if you do go there, I recommend you to book Dr. Ting himself.

If you go here make sure you speak Mandarin or Cantonese.
The office and supplies on the side looked rather unsanitary. At one point the dentist took off his gloves and was just working in my mouth with his bare hand (eeewww).
I went in for a check up because my tooth was hurting and they gave me a root canal without consulting me first. SURPRISE ROOT CANAL. I didn’t know what they were doing they just told me they were fixing things so I assumed it was just some cavities because I know enough chinese to understand the word for cavities when the dentist was talking to me. They had multiple assistants running around and supposedly one of them was supposed to inform me but they didn’t offer me an apology or anything and just went on doing what they did. I had to go back 3 times for the procedure to finish. On top of that my final crown is not fully in my gums– you can see a silver portion sticking out from the gum area. It feels fine and everything but I feel this place was unprofessional. I will admit it was cheap but I don’t know about the quality of this place.
I go to Serenity Dental Spa in SF and I love that plce now.
I am never going to listen to my coworkers recommendation again…

I came here upon recommendation from a very good friend. I had to get my teeth cleaned, and some other minor work. Dr. Ting’s prices are very reasonable. And the people there are very friendly, tell you exactly how things should be done, no BS!
I just recommended another friend to Dr. Ting, he’s up in the dentist office now as I write this review.
If you are looking for someone to work with you regarding pricing and timeline, he’s the one…
