Just had my hair bayalaged with blonde highlights… it looked great after leaving the salon as the stylist blew dried my hair straight and added curls… of course after the first wash, my hair felt dry, damaged with frizz… sigh… Decided to stop by this place after a long absence… no reason other than i usually buy my inexpensive hair products from Target… was quickly greeted with a smile and told her what i needed. She took a quick look at my hair and complimented the color and said she did notice some ‘damaged’ areas and recommended a leave-in conditioner and shampoo/conditioner to retain the color/vibrancy…very helpful with no hard sell Ended up leaving with Redken Extreme anti-snap($ 18) for ‘destressed’ hair and Joico Color Endure($ 32)…definitely not cheap but less expensive if you bought at the salon. I’ll update my review on the products itself…

What a little gem! Small space, but packed with everything I needed to touch up my hair. Wide selection of shampoos and conditioners, hair color, brushes, foils, caps, etc. The owner(I think) was working, she was very pleasant and helped me find exactly what I needed. Cheap prices too.

Friendly and helpful service. My friend found her blue shampoo at less than half the cost of those professional salons. Be careful to check the prices. The first bottle in the rack was $ 11 something and the second bottle was $ 14 something. Unfortunately, she caught it while we were walking back to the car and didn’t care enough to go back and fix it. 20% discount on a lot of products too! Unfortunately, I didn’t see my KMS products

Mimi is super duper nice! I wish more store owners were like her! She always makes sure that you are greeted when you come in! Unlike other Asian, they can care less about saying hi. Mimi’s Beauty Supply has everything a girl can play with. From Pureology to Nexxus, to Matrix, she has it all, and if she doesn’t she’ll personally order it for you! Remember to ask for your 20% discount(on MAJOR products lines)! And DONOT buy from your local supermarket stores! That’s called diversion, and supermarkets don’t guarantee the authenticity of the product, you could be buying products that are 3 years old! Go visit Mimi, she’s worth the drive!

I work nearby and pay a visit to Mimi’s often. She has just about everything and to top it off she offers 20% on most brands. She is much cheaper than anywhere else in the area.

Stopped by the other day to pick up a few essentials(shi-shi shampoo, conditioner, curling iron)… though the neighborhood seems a little sketchy, I rate it as a really successful trip because 1) the store was pretty clean and organized and 2) had really reasonable prices and 3) the shop owner is really sweet and friendly(if you’ve read any of my reviews, you’d know how much I value quality service) and 4) the store carries a lot of different products, considering it’s kinda small. I recommend shopping there on a saturday or towards the end of the work day(easier to get street parking).

Let me just tell you. They have so much great product for this nappy head of mine. And if Mimi doesn’t have it, she special orders it for me and calls me when that shit comes in. I was addicted to this one Joico hydrating conditioner that got discontinued, and Mimi ordered all the wholesale stock she could get her hands on for me. I could go months without paying her a visit, and she remembers all the little details when I return. «Ohh how’s the Bumble and Bumble hair sheen working? I wasn’t sure if that was going to work on your head. Go back to using the MOP Leave In.» Love her. She makes my life a little easier.
