Quick delivery… great pizza and wings with great offers…

I wish I wish that I could give less than one star but unfortunately I cant. Thank you very much Papa Johns for the burnt garlic knots and the under cooked pizza. Not to mention the completely inaccurate delivery time for my online order. We have ordered from this location several times and each time we order for delivery not carry out we have a problem with incorrect order, missing items or burnt items. I do not recommend this location if you want Papa Johns you may want to try the location on Shattuck Ave Berkeley they are way better.

Pizza was actually really good. Delivery was scheduled to be later than I liked but when I called to cancel, they said delivery was only a few minutes away, and they were correct. Thumbs up on pizza and delivery! They need to work on consistency, but I’d try them again.

This location likes to send people out to put flyers on people’s doorknobs but the problem is there is a big fence surrounding my property and somehow the people keep breaking in my fence and putting the flyers on my door. When I called to complain to the manager he gave me attitude. It still keeps happening even after I complain. STOP TRESPASSING ON MY PROPERTY PAPA JOHNS!!!

I order a large pizza, and the told me it would take 10mins. Nobody was in there and they had at least 4 workers on the floor. My pizza took more then 20 mins all due to them moving slowing and talking a lot. Not very good customer service.

I do not understand why this Papa John’s location has such negative reviews. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and it was delicious! In fact, it was one of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had and was prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. The customer service was awesome as well both on the phone and in person. I highly recommend this Papa John’s location as the customer service and food are both excellent. Don’t let the negative reviews deter you from ordering here… Give them a try and form your own opinion, which Based off of my experience, will likely be positive.

I think this place has a bad rep because I’ve ordered from here more that 8 times to the hotel where I work and not only have they delivered in a timely manner, the pizza is really good and cooked to perfection.
Tell them you want it well done and square cut :)
There was one time when a guest of mine tried to order but they didn’t have a driver. Things happen.

Could not change location online to the La Quinta Inn… to have delivery service to my hotel room. And I couldnt redeem for my free pizza order online as a result since online said there was no delivery to this area.
Called this location… Hotel said they do deliver to this location. Guy was obnoxious. I called back and got his name and his name was Surez. This person has no customer service and should be fired.
I tried to explain to them that online would not let me order a pizza online. I wanted the 2 topping 10 dollar special. Surez would not let me honor it. He was saying that it could only be ordered online. He would not honor the $ 10 price even though it would not take the hotel address online and says it was out of the delivery area. He wanted to charge $ 15 for the pizza. I then proceeded with the order anyway. I then wanted 2 toppings on each side of the pizza. I wanted extra cheese and pepperoni on one half of the pizza and mushrooms and black olives on the other half of the pizza. The guy would not allow the order because he said it was 4 toppings even though it was 2 topping on each side. I have done this before without any problems at other papa johns. This was the first pizza I tried to order in 2 years from PJs. And it maybe my last. I could not even redeem my free pizza on line due to a glitch in your web system telling me that my hotel was out of the delivery area when in fact it was.
Order attempted to be placed on Saturday May 9^th 11pm.

On Thursday, I ordered a Large pizza with sausage, bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms and black olives. I also ordered a side of wings. The pizza was soooo good, just perfect on every level until I bit into something hard while eating the crust of my slice. It felt a bit big and I thought it was weird for something like that to be in the crust. I spit it out onto the plate and as soon as I saw it, I almost had a heart attack. It looked like a tooth! My friend who was devouring the pizza with me was there and I kept asking him to look at it and tell me if it’s a tooth. It looked like a piece of gum was attached as well. He agreed that it looked like a tooth and we instantly ran to the bathroom and threw up! I called the Papa Johns and the guy didn’t believe me so n I went down there. I showed it to him, he thought it looked like a bone. But expressed that, that shouldn’t be in the pizza and was shocked. He took photos and said he would send it to the manager and they would call me in the morning. The worker was extremely nice.
The next day I called when I hadn’t heard from the manager and spoke with the manager. He said I would need to talk to the general manager. I have yet to hear anything and it is Saturday. I am still grossed out and traumatized from this experience. I could never eat Papa Johns from ANY location. Ever again! Don’t eat there!

Ordered online, after 20 mns store called me to said can I give u chicken nuggets instead of chicken wings I said OK 45 mns later I called this guy back to ask for my order and he said is on the way but one hour after I placed the order they called me back again to ask me if I want a different drink because they were out of apple soda, so finally the driver called me asking to go to the street because no parking (of course was no parking because he was in the wrong address OMG I never place an order at this place.

Jamar (i believe thats his name) is very sweet… after a mix up with my order that was totally my fault he was on top of it and got me out the door quickly

That Thin Crust Sausage pizza was the worst pizza I ever had ! I have had frozen pizza better than this. Don’t know if it’s because of the special deal buy 1 large 1 topping pizza, Get 1 Free.

First off I was harassed by the workers til about 12 am. After a weird call threatening to put metallic lubricant in the dough I cancelled my order. They called back several times from the store. After 10 consecutive phone calls they still proceeded to come to my house, not identifying who they were and saying I’m not a cop. After we said leave they still drove by several times. Very unprofessional and frankly I would never eat there again. They are keeping workers who use your information to harass you. Be careful.

I have been ordering from Papa John’s at this location since it was opened. I love how the pizza taste, the thickness of the crust, and it’s never too dry. Recently, I ordered from this location. They had a special Manu, 3 medium pizzas with 3 toppings each. When my pizza arrived, I noticed that two of my pizza only had 2 toppings each. Where was my third topping?
Again, after two weeks, I gave them another chance and ordered from their special Manu, 3 medium pizzas with 3 toppings each. And again, my third topping was missing.
I am disappointed at this Papa johns. I used to love it here. What happened?

Took almost two hours for two slices of pizza and some bread stick.
Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Ordered here twice. Once was okay — pizza was food. Second time, manager was very rude and the pineapple on our pizza tasted a little funky.
When I ordered the second time, the manager said, «Yes, hurry up your order because my driver needs to leave quickly!» (Don’t you have to cook the pizza first?) So I tried to spit my order out as fast as possible. Two pizzas for $ 50! Seemed over priced. Decided to pick it up to avoid the hefty delivery fee. And called him back within 2 minutes. He got angry at me over the phone when I told him I’d pick it up instead, «My driver was waiting this whole time!!» Ridiculous.

Usually I’d give them at least 4 stars but this last time was terrible! I ordered 2 pizza’s and the garlic parmesan sticks and it took them over an hour to deliver to me when I live maybe a 5 min drive from the place. When I called and asked about it, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about and quickly said «Oh the driver left 5 mins ago, he should be there soon». 30 mins later… Not only was the pizza’s were basically cold, the bread sticks were so greasy it leaked through to the other boxes, one of the pizza’s wasn’t even cut! Since all Papa John’s pizzas come with a garlic sauce and Pepperoncini, I was surprised to find that only one of them had it. This service there has definitely gotten worse since the first time I ordered there.
FYI to Papa John’s… WHEN A CUSTOMER ASKS FOR YOU TO PUT THE TOPPINGS ON TOP, THAT DOES NOT MEAN PUT THEM ON BELOW THE CHEESE…

If I could do no stars I would.
The pizza wasn’t fresh. It didn’t have any toppings that I ordered. The subbed the banana peppers with jalapeños.
Truth is… when a customer ask for something, yoy make it happen to make them happy. Especially if it isn’t going out of the way.
They need better service.
Not going here again.

Horrible customer service. They decided to cancel my order because they were too lazy to come out and deliver my pizza. I clearly heard a guy in the background saying «just tell him we canceled his order because we were closed» this was about an hour before their actually closing time according the Papa Johns website what bothers me is they did not have the courtesy to call me and notify me that they «cancelled my order»

I will keep this as brief as possible…
We divorced Papa John’s awhile back due complete incompetence/​indifference but gave it enough time where we thought we would try it again. REALLY bad idea.
Called, ordered, had my cell phone on silent (my bad) when they tried to deliver BUT wait. Our callbox is connected to different number which NEVER rang. I tried to call back 4 times after realizing they tried my cell… no answer. Called the store to let them know what happened. Manager told me they were going to charge me an ADDITIONAL delivery charge. Ok… instructions online specifically say to come to callbox and what to dial. It’s not frickin’ rocket science. Driver tells mgr he tried callbox… f’n lie. Manager chews me out, essentially calling ME a liar but then tells me how all of her drivers are new and that I should be understanding. I’m sorry… so you hire people who can’t hit a giant black button and hit 3 numbers? Get ur lazy butts out of your car and deliver to the customer for god’s sake! It’s not curbside… it’s DELIVERY! DELIVER TO MY DOOR!
Here’s the topper to the oh so professional operation that is Oakland Papa John’s; she, the «manager», hung up on me when I was telling her to cancel order. Real smoothe, lady.
I don’t expect much when ordering from a franchise like Papa John’s but this has been, still is and always will be a complete Sh@t show. If I were the head of corporate Papa, I would shut their ass down because they obviously don’t care.
Epic Fail.

I didn’t have high expectations since this is a pizza joint, but seriously, you have got to be kidding with the customer service. I read the reviews today, but a few days too late since i was there last friday. Awful customer service. «Gee, i’m sorry to be cutting into your social time, but i’d like to order some food.» Ordered slices to go and they weren’t even heated. Never going back to this location
