So this place is the equivalent of a fast food joint. Nothing is very fresh here and service is ok. Just enough to get you charged and off. Don’t expect delicious. But do expect full of msg and carbs. And a bit greasy and very much not fresh. They claim to close around 9p but they shit the kitchen off early and box up the food. So your stuck with what every leftovers they had already sitting for all afternoon.

It’s in the airport. The food is good. Go here to eat when you are at the airport. Quick and clean. That is all.

Stopped by this morning for breakfast while on a layover. Breakfast menu is pretty average for any airport food joint. Grabbed a bowl of steel cut oats with brown sugar a raisins and a pork bun. Steel cut oats saved this review from a 1 or 2 star honestly. Oatmeal was not too bad and they gave me plenty of raisins and brown sugar to go along with it for $ 4.99. The downside of this review was the pork bun for 2 dollars. I took my first bite of the bun that looked very promising only to find out it was pretty much a bun. Inside was the smallest amount of pork and sauce and I could barely tell by the taste of the bun that there was anything inside. It really felt like a sweet bun with loads of melted butter on top, which in most cases is fine, but I ordered a pork bun! To sum it up, it is the average overpriced airport food and from the look of the other meals, none looked promising. I’d stick with starbucks or the chili’s restaurant instead for a better meal.

My son was the only one of our party to eat at the Silver Dragon Café at the Oakland International Airport on January 18, 2016, and he was violently ill with food poisoning after eating at this establishment. He is a healthy 17 year old other than this and it lasted 24 hours. I tried to call the Silver Dragon but I received a voice mail. I’m wondering how many others received food poisoning on this date also. He said the food tasted awful when he was eating it too… DONOTRECOMMENDEATINGATTHISPLACE while visiting the Oakland International Airport in terminal 1.

Good service and food. Thankfully they have veggie options too, since I dont eat meat. I ordered the vegetable medley & lemongrass tofu and it tasted great. It’s nice to find a healthier option whenever I’m at the airport too & ran out of food in my cooler. Flavor was very good and the veggies were cooked with the perfect amount of crunch. It’s a bit spendy for what you get, but when you’re hungry and stuck at the airport, what can you do. That being said, I was full by the time I was done eating.

Eaten here a couple of times now, and liked it very much. Giving it 4 stars in context that we are talking about airport eateries /restaurants. Compared to a lot of the other over priced and low quality option this one stands out. Their mixed vegetables are very tasty and the noodles are well done. Always eating here while flying out of oak!

They have hot food for breakfast if you don’t want want the food at Starbucks. I got the breakfast bowl which comes with eggs, hash and cheese which was decent. If you want good, reasonable priced food, an airport is not the place to look.

$ 32.99 for 1 yogurt, 1 dragon bowl with pot stickers, 1 chicken wrap($ 8.99). It’s overpriced for food that is, so unfortunately, barely edible: the rice and noodles were under-cooked and lacked spices(the rice didn’t taste like fried rice — barely any vegetables, eggs; the noodles were bland). The chicken wrap was the worst I’ve ever had. Took a bite less within 30 minutes of getting in my plane, and the tomato and salad in it, beside being«tired»(I opened my wrap, the salad was clearly old, the tomato had a stale taste) made the whole thing taste expired. And isn’t their burners working, i.e. burning high enough?(in reference to under-cooked food). My advice is to save your money and go elsewhere, or if you’re really craving Asian food like I was, ask to sample before buying anything. Please do it. This is nothing personal about the place, but I hope they read this and try to accommodate the customers with better, decent, tasting food. Otherwise it’s a shame for their business and the airport who lets them operate. If they do so I’ll be more than glad to change this review.

A shiny spot in an otherwise underwhelming airport. Had the Dragon Bowl, with staff open to substituting rice/noodles for steamed veggies to accompany my Orange Chicken! Also had a Pork Bun, which was small for the $ 1.99 price but extremely tasty!

By far the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Granted it’s in an airport, but cmon a little more seasoning this would be a decent meal. The noodles were stale, the meat is way under seasoned, and the food is kind of expensive. Eat elsewhere, this is not worth your money.

Pro tip — Even though they look like Panda Express, they ain’t. Their orange chicken is terrible so don’t even try it. Tasted like chicken soaked in Sunny Delight. Never again. Otherwise, it’s typical airport food and you gotta set your expectations extremely low. It is what it is you know. Convenient, expensive, and ultimately unsatisfying. But it’ll get you through that flight because airport food is a hell of a lot better than airplane food.

It’s airport food. But when it’s super-early, it’s possibly as good as it gets. Communication was challenging, I had to correct my order twice. Pricey. As airport food always is. You’re a captive audience. It’ll keep you from starving on a long flight, but that’s perhaps the best thing I can say about it.

Went by their café because I did not wanted to go to Chili’s and other«over-priced and under-quality» eateries. Had their $ 9.99 lunch package(Dragon Bowl). … There was minimum NaCl(sodium-based salt) [no msg.] in my choice of «beef and fried rice.» … It was decent quality food for its price at that venue. … The service was superb. It was a way better choice than Chilis. Technically, I should only give four stars. … But I am giving one extra star for their retired«Silver Dragon» restaurant that was located in Oakland’s Chinatown. I missed their old place. Their«Hung Tao, Wor Won Ton» soup was the best. Suggestion to management: You need to return the Won Ton soup to your menu. :)

This has got to be the«whitest» tasting Chinese orange chicken I’ve ever tasted! If you are starved and in a time crunch between gates 7 – 9, then it’s food. If not, look elsewhere. It’s too bad because it looks like it’d be a little better than it is.

Not so fast Obi-Wan! This is just a BBQ Pork Bun review and after just having that, I think I’ll skip coming back to try anything else. Why, you ask? Because they were terrible! Baked Pork Bun… or should I say«Bunette»? ~ That is my thumb in the photo I posted! This bun is TINY… and almost NO meat! Also, the bun was stale and the pork was cold. And for $ 3.50! Come on now! Nooooo! I asked if they had steamed buns, but, no, they don’t. I realize I’m from the islands where the pork buns or «Manapua» rock, but I’ve never had one this bad, even in a Chinese takeout establishment. So, my suggestion is to skip the buns here. And like I said, I didn’t try anything else and really don’t care to now. C’est la vie, Silver Dragon, pork bun destroyers. Oh, you get one star * just because I was hungry …But, I’m STILL hungry!

I fly out of here right around dinner time a lot — this is now my go to before I hop on the plane. It’s not that bad, esp if you put sauce /hot mustard on it(they have a whole table of packets for you to take). I usually get chow mein with kung pao chicken — it’s expensive for what you get but hey, that’s airport food for ya. It’s pretty filling though — and compared to other places in the terminal, this one is better.

It’s airport food what can be said. Terminal 1 near gate 8… can’t miss that awful green. Though I rather enjoyed my Dim Sum platter. Saw most of it come out fresh from the fryer… the steam tables look to have good offerings and likely a step up from some mall food court. $ 13 for the platter and a diet coke… still kinda hoping first class cabin gets a meal though, as I missed breakfast this morning.

For airport food it’s actually not bad! Let’s face it — airport food is usually the worst. Little selection and because there is a never ending supply of people who need to eat usually there is little to impress. I enter Oakland airport and feared the worst. There was a Starbucks, a Chili’s, and this place. Oh no… Well actually this place was okay. At least by airport standards. I got the dragon bowl($ 8.99) it came with fried rice or noodles(I choose noodles) and your choice of one meat, or Veggi main. Now here is where I got smart. I asked what was the freshest, then asked for a sample of two dishes. Glad I did — the orange chicken was discussing. Not fresh one bit. The pepper beef was actually decent. Flavorful and the beef a heaven of tenderness. The noodles were a little flavorless, but hot sauce helped. What I really liked was everything was boxed and plane ready. Thick plastic sealing containers so you could carry on food and not worry about a mess afterwards. So if eating at OAK check out this place. Best option in the airport.

Wow! this was the worst tasting food I had in a while. It tasted like Panda Express got mixed with a Frozen Dinner and got tweaked up by a 10 year old kid. I don’t know how they made the Kung Pao Chicken but it tasted like Canned Brown Gravy mixed with Cooking Oil and lots of Soy Sauce and was terrible and also didn’t have any peanuts or spice added. It was also very salty. The Mixed Vegetables had a Frozen Food Texture to them and had an artificial butter taste to them. Last but not least the rice was mushy with frozen vegetables and styrofoam textured eggs added to them and also seemed very oily. Oily Steamed Mushy Rice with possibly microwaved eggs in it. I thought Silver Dragon would be better than the only other choice in this airport.

I’d say skip any of the meat options because they’re pretty rubbery dubbery do, but the noodles worked as well as airport noodles could. I did the bowl, which is really a combo plate, but ended up not touching the chicken part at all because even when I closed my eyes I couldn’t imagine it being succulent, farm-raised edible meat. The noodles were served from a fresh vat instead of scooping up what was left of the precious batch, and I think that made all the difference. There’s not a lot of options in the area, so this’ll do if you’re feeling peckish before leaving on a jet plane.
