I thought the gals that worked here were really nice and they carried some ‘Bettie Page’ [sp?] brand dresses which I’ve only seen at the BP store in Vegas. The downside was that the store didn’t meet my expectations and we all know Piedmont needs something cute/chic/girlie aside from McMullen [which is a beautiful store but $$$$]. Unfortunately the store has closed but someone [maybe a coworker?] mentioned Spoiled Rotten has a sister store off Broadway.

Rating des Ortes: 1 Piedmont, CA
It’s unfortunate that the buyer doesn’t have classier taste like Sherrie McMullen. It looks like ghetto chic trying to be high end. It’s even more unfortunate that Piedmont Ave has such a horrible selection of women’s boutiques. Throw this place into the mix, Oy what a hot mess!

Update: Original rating 1 star. I’m changing it to 2. They now have more in stock, and the quality of clothing this time seemed a little better. I still don’t like the hot pink décor, and it’s not my style of clothes. It’s too trendy or maybe I’m not hip enough. Original review: What a huge disappointment. I was so excited about this store. I believe in supporting the local economy and will shell out extra bucks if the goods are of high quality. The clothes at this store are trendy but seem to be poorly made. The style isn’t my cup of tea. Maybe it’s too trendy or maybe I’m not trendy enough. I can see some of the clothes being ideal for clubbing, which I stopped doing a long time ago. Their selection is very small. I’m also not sure about the hot pink wall. It makes me feel uncomfortable/nervous. Definitely did not help me spend more time browsing.
