Stayed here 5 weeks for work, what a gem of an Inn! American Owned/Operated (owners live on-site), & they take pride in their place here. Weekly rates for workers is awesome (was here in May which is basically off-season for the area). Rooms are very clean (cleaner than most the high $ chains out there), & well appointed. The décor is on the patriotic theme & very nice to see the words «God Bless» on some of the wall décor! Owner keeps nice lawn & flowers around the property & it seems very safe as they live on site. Noise from the hwy did not bother me at all. An ‘ok’ restaurant & convenience store right across the street, & JG’s pub is only about a mile down the hwy with a GREAT cheesesteak sandwich (see JG’s on Unilocal)! Only complaint is the beds have a black hole on 1 side of them, I just slept on the decent side, but mattresses could use replacing IMO. Overall great place & would stay there everytime! Thank you owners for running an Inn like they should be run for guests!!!

Clean rooms. Nice quilts on the beds. Well furnished with lots of wood trim. The pocket door to the bathroom was a nice touch. Friendly staff. All the elements of a good place to stay while in the area visiting friends. $ 56 + tax = unbeatable value for the money. My wife was scared off by the low price– she expected a dive. This is not a dive. The road noise around 6am started up a bit but was not too bad. We had a great night’s sleep and hope to visit the Garrett Inn again soon.

This is a little single story motel right along Rt. 219 just north of Oakland, MD. The rooms are very clean, well equipped with refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, LCD TV, alarm clock, and a table for two in addition to having two queen beds that were very comfortable. They also have free WiFi, which is great since AT&T cell phone service isn’t good in this area.
The staff was very friendly. Reservations is only taken by phone, their web site is good (
), but isn’t equipped for online reservations.
The prices are very reasonable and parking is right in front of your room.

Bel Air, MD

Stayed here this weekend for two nights. This place was perfect, a small mom/pop motel. Very clean, very neat and had everything we needed. Microwave, fridge, coffee… two comfy beds and a nice updated bathroom. The room was tastefully decorated in a country theme and even had fresh flowers outside and a spot to sit outside your room. The owners were super friendly, had answers to all our questions and the staff were all pleasant. If you are looking for a great clean place to stay, check the inn out vs the local name brand hotels that don’t get good reviews at all. you won’t be disappointed!
