The Healing Place

I am a chiropractor in Oakland and so know Nubian Flunder professionally. We have co-​managed patients who need both chiropractic and acupuncture and she’s done a fantastic job. I recommend her highly for her professionalism and expertise.
I recently saw her for massage and was so impressed by the tasteful and calm décor. As soon as she put her hands on me I knew that she was a expert massage therapist. With all her anatomy and energetic training, she was able to glide to all the spots that needed it most, and smooth them out. I enjoyed the entire massage and afterward felt incredibly relaxed.
She ended with nice touches like giving me a small towel with which to wipe down my body before getting dressed, and offering me a cup of water. It’s important to rehydrate after a massage since the body releases toxins.

Nubian is the bomb!
I hated acupuncture until I met Nubian. I am generally petrified of needles, and I had a bad experience prior to meeting Nubian.
Nubian is very gentle with the needles. Not only that, but she is a true healer. She will work with you to get to the bottom of whatever issue (s) you are having, and will recommend herbs and other alternative treatment methods that she believes will help you. Her prices are beyond reasonable, and she uses a sliding scale to make acupuncture available to everyone.
Nubian is currently working on opening a practice in SF. I can not wait until she has regular hours there, but until then I will continue to go across the Bay for my acupuncture.
